    GOOOOOOD Morning, Beachie-Keeno-Kids!!!!!!!!!!

I'm wide awake good and early this beachie fine morning!! There's excitement in the air -- but it's too early for any announcements.I feel like a kid on Christmas eve. More on that later..........

Lisa, our youngest went to Ithaca College on the Finger Lakes in NY. She LOVED the natural beauty all around, the gorges, lakes, hillsides etc etc. Thanks for bringing those memories back to life thru your latest collage.

Saint, as you are aware by now -- I can do a little of a lot of things. I'm a bit like Spar -- get something into my head and then just keep working on it, till it's tackled.

Celia (& Spar,) I think it's absolutely awesome that your post prompted an actual project in the real world. It makes me sooooo excited for the possibilities here at creative central. Keep sending us these incredible ideas. Such an inspiration!

Julz, you're the newest poster with the incredible vision for how to lift one another up. Thanks. Hope your weekend is free of the homework heebeejeebees. [Some places are enforcing restrictions on how much homework is reasonable.... maybe make that your next bandwagon -- in your spare time, tee hee.]

Biker, it's about time to see an updated pic of your twinsies! Just how many bikes do you guys have? Fun, fun, fun. We'll put ours in storage up here at the end of the week. Sand thru the hourglass.

Footie, I know that there are unfair things on this planet and that injustice is everywhere, when we open our eyes -- but I want you to know how proud I am that you keep chugging along, despite all of the frustrations. Genuine hugs to you, champion. You have my deepest admiration.

Jasmine, since it's the weekend, i'm hoping that you will have the time and opportunity to take new pics of your cross stitch work and post for our inspiration and ooooo'ing and aaaaaa'ing, for those of us that missed it previously (pretty please) that was an earlier addiction of mine.

Sahalie, I wonder how you're containing your excitement over your upcoming adventure -- especially with us all imagining Margo on her white beaches. I am so excited for your reports upon returning, but how about walking us down your memory lane from last year? as you ramp up in your mind.

Shrink, you're probably up to your elbows in last minute preparations. How exciting to be filled with zest again and to have so much to look forward to!! We'll be chacha'ing with the crowd. Enjoy every little bit of the celebration. We will.

Harley, hope that you're riding the storm -- with just enough excitement to make for some good stories and memories and not too much water to dampen your enthusiasm.

Wingers, are you taking a roaring big trip this weekend or just laying low. I LOVED the MI pics of your get-together picnic. How fortnuate to have an organized group who continues to support each other in the 'real' world. nEEsie on the slide was priceless! maybe i can join you next time.

Dreamwriter, come out come out where ever you are!! Share some of your talent with us.

Sige, I too meant to compliment you on your new pic. You've got some extra bounce, a gleam in your eye kinda mentality. I so appreciate getting acquainted here. Hope that there's some calm in your world this weekend.

Deborye and Heymoose and summer and nEEsie and Iris-Alumni and others who may only have the time to read along.......... wishing you lots of good and something giggly for your weekend.

I know that I've posted this picture before, but with several 'new splashers' I hope that's ok with you orignials...... it's a sunrise I took earlier this year in FL (It was on that trip that I 'discovered' this thread.)

This shot was possible because of a major hotflash that woke me early. It was on the morning that we had dinner with CTG's husband, just three weeks after her funeral. In retrospect now, I think that she was sparkling for us. Let there always be hope for us in the heavens. May we continue to hold each other up, offering encouragement, enthusiasm, interest and support thru the downs and ups that present themselves here on this planet. There are indeed angels who watch over us.............. may we always remember and rejoice in that fact.

    Julz-

Hey, thanks for the music!!  I noticed that it looked like Kool and the Gang were at the House of Blues, and there is one down my way, in N. Myrtle Beach!  Maybe that is where they were when they taped that segment!

Yes, Hanna is headed up the coast!!  Watch out!!  Where do you live?  I hear there will be lots of storm surge, if you live on the coast.  We are from Maryland, and my SIL lives in Annapolis, and they have problems with flooding, from the storms.

The Weather Channel reported that Hanna was right overhead, last night she blew right over my house!!  The highest winds were about 72 mph.  We DID get some heavy rains, at times, but really no worries about flooding, and we are still here, in one piece, so no problems, really, with the high winds.

    Saint,

I wouldn't recommend shopping there, since they are so pricey, but I went to the Coastal Grand Mall, in Myrtle Beach, with my SIL when she came to visit, and we got some really good deals on the summer clearance sales....  I love to save money!!

The sun came out, and the storm is just about over, even though we still have some gusts of wind to get through.  There is a 'duck' race over at Barefoot Landing, and my dh is supposed to set up a tent there, selling hot sauce from the store where he works.  I may go with him, for something to do.  We still don't know if they may decide to cancel, due to the winds.  The duck race is a charity event, for the Humane Society.  You buy a rubber duck and place it in the pond, and they race 'em!  Sounds like fun!

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

    Harley

I must be stuck in a time warp.  I see photos of the people I know and they are all wrong.... they should be like in highscool.  We had our flaws then but our eyes were on the possibilities out there.  We looked inside to see who we were but the answers hadnt grown yet.  I still see myself as that youngster, hurt yet hopeful, abused but a good friend, and individuality in stripes - i held myself together with uniform ties and went to school, to work.   I did ok in each skiing under the radar of attention;  graduating with strangers that hated me.  The unknown was best.  Hatred manifested itself in stolen projects that had to be done again; the locker slam and a couple of beatings I got at home and at school.

But then I left and bruises healed, hair was cut, makeup applied and a new outbit - made me a vision of today.  I saw happeness and reached out and caught it.  Changed my tune from the blues to love songs.   Long after I found love.

    My diagnosis move me to a more fragile version of myself.  And all the things I want to do and all the things I need to do were just within reach.  And helping me reach these dreams  are all of my friends, the few from the past and the multitude from the present ---- what a wonderful gift.  And it takes courage to say "thank you" and accept the gift;

So whatever my talents are I will truly share.. I promise.

Jasmine Jazzy dear one*  Where the heck are YOU?

Are you sitting on the dock by your lake?

It's gonna be hotter than chili peppers again today where I am.

    I have a question*

Why do sweet* gentle* adorable* Dragonflies begin their flights of fancy when it gets

    so blasted hot?

    I have another question*

Sometimes when online a noise for a short second happens in my laptop.

What is that?  Does anyone know?

    Just asking.

Faith, that is one of the most inspirational sunrises I have ever seen.  Thanks for sharing.  Will it be really hard for ya to go home after paradise?

Dreamwriter, you brought tears to my eyes, kids can be so cruel but you are a beauty to me and to all your friends.

Harley, so glad you are safe and sound and had a fun party, hope that is the end of the storms for you this week.

Thinking of Margo on the beach and wish I was there too.

lisa, love you collages or ever how you spell it, they are beautiful.

I have never made a quilt but I am going to attempt it after we get all moved and settled.  My 6 year granddaughter made a mirror for her mom this morning I will post a picture of it later, she did pretty good for a little girl and no help all on her own with me watching.

Julz, have a good day. love you girlfriend

Wings- come out and play some more

Biker, I would love to see twins pictures.

Foots, thinking of you everyday, hoping things are better

Saint, surely do enjoy you on the beach

Sige, we need some more weird stuff on the beach

Shrink, we want pictures, especially in your outfit.

Sahalie, hope you have a beachy day and enjoy your kids, farm, and animals.

Lots of love and hugs to all.

Faith, those stools are really beautiful.  You are quite talented.

Sige, I had seen that story before, but just as funny the second time!  LOL!  That guy should be paying better attention to his balls.  I'll bet he does now! Yell

Spar, we were going to try in get out for another trip, but we just don't have the time right now.  I really wanted to take the twins on a short trip, cause they just love camping.  Every time they see a fire, they say,"We're camping!"  Too funny.

Julz, it's raining now and the wind is starting to pick up a bit.  I don't mind hurricanes around here so much.  It's those  TORNADOES !!!! We had one when we were building our house.  Crap, I can't get the bold off!

    SoCal, beautiful pics, as usual.

Aloha from the white sands.  Did anyone watch Stand Up to Cancer last night?  I did but had arranged to TIVO it in case I didn't get to see it.  I see that there were three pages that I didn't get to read so I just picked this page to post from here - I forgot already what I read.  Come on over ladies - I have some beach towels reserving our chairs by the pool and the beach.  Bring your book and we'll get some mai tais.

    HI Beachie-kids!

Just a quick post--we spent the day with the humane society on an "outing"--a local town had a festival to preserve their park. We took dogs who need homes to "work the crowd" I am exhausted! I had been wondering how I managed to volunteer all summer & NOT bring home any new friends.....Well, I found out today! If you only spend 30 minutes with a dog or cat you can grow to like them & make them a favorite til they find a forever home. Today we spent all day with just one or two dogs & I am ACHING to go get Rudy---he looks EXACTLY like Toto & was the most civilized & affectionate pooch I have met in a long time-------woe is me.........

The tearing up of the carpet has commenced! I may not be around much til the end of the week when the whole job SHOULD be finished! As always, I will light our candle tomorrow.

Hugs to all from A-Z. Be well & stay strong!

Beachie kids. I've just gotten 'home' from such an upbeat and art-filled day. We made a field trip to the "Flying Pig" art gallery for outsider art. It was so worth the drive.

Anyhow, have just read a PM from our own dear Footie and she really needs us to have an 'outpouring' of lemonade and hugs on her behalf. Anyone still up on the west coast that can add some cheer for our Footie-Debbie-Angel -- it would be very much appreciated.

I'm gonna go look for some cheer................

    Love to each of you!!

    Let's keep cleaning...............

We were asked NOT to take pics of the actual artwork. I decided that the bathroom quotations could be an exception and so you know I APPRECIATED locating my 'favorite' BC quote:

Footie. I went in search of some lemonade and this is the first image that popped up:

Too bad that it's so small.... but you get the idea.

We were all brought together by such a sad and overwhelming story, but by our spending such quality time together we've certainly made the most out of all of the unknowns and the side effects and the waiting and the anxiety and the anger and the lonliness and the fear.

So here's to the pink lemonade that we share....... Know that we are here for you. Cheering you on in your day to day journey.
