Birthday Breakfast bar social: Art Deco restrospective @ the Pier..... hurry don't be late...... nEEsie's already in her finery and stopping by for a quick hug and songfest on her way to the graduation:

Then while nEEster is busy with family fun, we'll just soak for a while and do each other's toe nails, waiting for her return for tonight's festivities:

BIRTHDAY HUGS TO NEESIE - on the right.

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

It was humid that day so we were starting to melt.

Looks like Richard Simmons is trying to sneak onto the beach dressed up as a cupcake.

Richard is waddling towards Neesie for a Birthday Hug.

Neesie Do Not Lick the Frosting.

If he doesn't leave you alone push him down in the sand - he won't be able to get back up.

    LOL

    Have a great day!

Just a quick post while the coffee is brewing.  Here's a song to get you up and moving this fine Saturday morning.  A little Chuck Berry goes a long way to a feel good weekend.

Good Saturday morning to all beach babettes.

It's foggy here on my part of the beach and I'm loving it.

It can stay all day if it wants.

Hitting a few vineyards today with family and friends to

    celebrate a birthday.

Continued Happy Birthday wishes to Neesiette.

Have fun today what ever you do and I hope a chocolate

    fountain is in the celebration.

BikerJanny, Sending you the love and major gratitude.

    Way to go Janny!

Wings and Susan, It's so great to see you post.

Thanks for another great picture of you and Neesie.

Faith,  You must be beside yourself with anticipation to skip onto

the plane and be on your way to a sun filled holiday with dh.

I hope both dd's are better today and all will be well while you

are on your much needed time travel.

    Jaz,  Great tune as always.

    Shouting out to AMY!

Missing you and words of happenings and baby goats.

FootsAngel,  I wish you a carefree, painfree weekend.

Send a note when you can OK.

Wishing each beach babe a powerful, happy, carefree day.

    Laters.

Spar, welcome to the beach.  Sahalie will be along in a bit to make sure you have the perfect pair of flipper floppers custom designed for you.

I think everyone is on siesta right now.  I just got back a little while from meeting a friend for lunch.  We went to a chinese buffet place and I am stuffed and the msg is making me so sleepy.

I'll be back later for the evening rendezvous.

Hey Beach Bunnies..................we have arrived home from our LONG day!  Why are Graduations sooooooooo long and boring?????  It was still a day filled with pride and love for my DD........she looked radiant!  Poor DH was soooo out of his element zone today...............for those that don't know much about the Man....he's a 'stay at home messing around the work shop and work in the garden' kind of guy..............but he did well!

DD LOVED the necklace....it was the perfect gift....I'll have to check out the pics and see if it is visable in any.

Thank you to all for the many B'day wishes today!  Everyone here, Ecard from Charlene, and cards from Iris and Wings!!!!!!!! PM'S from Wings and Liz!! Beautiful, wonderful friends you all are !!!!!

I'm gonna go kick my feet up for a bit and if DH konks out early or gets engrossed in Sci-fi...........I'll be back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Loving the pic from Jan!!  First thing I thought of when I saw it was last year at Pinkstock...........one of our dear friends showed us here flexing talent with her 'new' girls!!!!

    Hugs,

    Neesie, nEEsie, Neesian, Neesiette!!

Yawning and very sleepy as I am wrapped in my beach

blanket, curled up in my hammock listening to the waves

    waving.

Big day, sunshine, wineries, birthdays and out of towner's

equal's early snooze time for me tonight.

    Welcome to Spar.

    *

    Celia, dear wonderful Celia.

I want to say to you that reading your most eloquent

words regarding Your beautiful majestic mountain up

in the emerald Northwest captivated me to the point

    I felt I was there.

The picture reminds me of Mt. Shasta here in CA.

and the equally majestic Mt. Hood in Oregon.

I have been to Timberline Lodge on Mt. Hood.

    That mountain is something else.

Like the ocean, people can never turn their back to these

mountains as they are so powerful.

How fortunate we all are to have these three massive

snow capped testaments to nature here in the West.

I enjoy reading your descriptive ways.

Also . . . I love the Gustav Klimt pictures you shared above.

I look forward to more writings from you.

I hope Mother Nature was kind to you in the beautiful

Northwest today and gave you some sunshine.

    *

Our blessed fog came in this morning giving us a much

needed break from the blast furnace heat wave we've been

    having.

Our poor fire fighters need a respite.

    *

Well, beach babaloo's, I am tired to the max.

All the fresh air and sips of the grape you know.

So just leave me in my beach hammock if I fall asleep.

    Happy day tomorrow.

    Pt. Reyes calls me tomorrow.

    It's a wonderful place.

Our favorite bay to kayak in, paddle out to the mouth

of the ocean and watch the beautiful Tule Elk up on the

    knolls feeding in the brush.

    Sleep tight.

    Groovy XOXO.

The sun has just about set here in Big Sur at Pfeiffer beach.

I spent a lovely day which had its share of sunshine, finally.  I walked a long time on the beautiful beach we share and looked for artists.  I found some free-spirits who were selling their artistic wares on the beach under big umbrellas and i brought back presents for all of you.  There were glass-blowers, which are favorites of mine....glass is like frozen zen.....liquid molten glass rolled, blown and smushed into soft shapes in a million swirly colors.

Here are glass flowers for everyone...we must handle them gently.

Here are some flip-flop earrings for everyone, inspired by the wonderful Sahalie who thoughtfully sends us to get our personalized flip flops to wear here on the beach.

faith, the ballerina tree is amazing. her hands and fingers are exquisite too.  Aruba gets nearer and nearer.  i was so glad that you got more memory cards for your camera, since that means more beach pictures.....did you get the special memory cards that capture the desired beach smell too??

sahalie, thank you for your kind words, but i must say that you and faith and the girls here (still trying to figure everyone out) are the ones that inspire me, all the words, thoughts, and pictures here are so beautiful, so my thanks to everyone here.  I do also love Mt. Shasta and i had many adventures UP there.  That mountain is mystical, so very quiet and sensual.  And people say such interesting spiritual things about Mt. Shasta and i sense that it is all true. I have only seen Mt. Hood by passing by in a car...also a great beauty.

to everyone--winggirl, footprintsangel, biker54, jasmine, spar2, margaretb, neesie, susanmcm, sahalie, faith, and the sweet angel who walks the beach in spirit (hope i got everyone), please be well, come back soon, and have a beautiful morning tomorrow and please enjoy your gifts!

Good morning Beach Angels.  Hope everyone's Sunday is a nice and relaxing one.  It's hot as blazes here this morning already.  Looks like another day inside.  Thank goodness I got some good books last night while I was out.

Faith -- just one more day.  You must be so excited.  Did DD get her air conditioner fixed yet?

Here's a song to get Faith revved up.

    Surprise song of the day!

I awaken today aware of possibilities.

I awaken today filled with excitement and anticipation and longing and eagerness and enthusiasm and delight and joy and planning and wonder and curiosity and magic and discovery and energy and

WAIT!! Did I say energy? I did!! I am remembering energy.

I am so fortunate to be embarking on this vagabond. I am so thrilled to have this opportunity at hand. I am so tickled that I'm taking each of you with me.

I will have Sahalie in my tote, organizing each day's activities. Margo will be orchestrating new recipees to savor. Jaz will be sending me steel drum selections for the day. Wings will be sharing amazing lights amdist the sights. I'll have nEEsie to regail me with humourous stories of the road and Susan to kick up heels on adventures. I know that Iris will be keeping me organized. Amy will be keeping me grounded to savoring the entire journey. Footie will always have an uplifting thought to share. Celia will have my eyes opened in ways old and new to the arts of the island and the island as art. Jan will assure me that the babeez will be bigger upon my return. Spar's gonna share her quilt with me. Angel will be there with a hug.

What more could a girl ask?

Yet I am asking. I'm asking that this trip be a milestone, a marker, a miracle.

I'm asking that this vagabond awaken me to all that I've forgotten about myself, all that I've longed to encounter within myself and all that's become overgrown and neglected in this past year of doctors and tests, and surgeries and treatment and appointments and waiting and wondering and questioning. I long to be introduced to myself. I long to harvest some of this potential that I've sat upon for too many tear soaked nights.

I feel so fortunate to have you guiding me -- and holding me accountable -- and encouraging me.

Did I mention that I'm excited?
