Time to get our dance on!

    Compliments of Jaz.

    Macarena line down the beach!

    Good morning beach babaloo's.

Like Margaret said, it's hot here in our land of Cali.

We will hit the triple digit's today so guess what I'm doing?

Going to see the much anticipated "Sex And The City!"

    *

FootsAngel.  Please wonderful girl, take care of that cold!

You need to stay right here on the warm peaceful

beach so that we can all take good care of you and cater

    to your every need.

Even Mario will keep you entertained with his bossa nova

    floating band.

They hover on their flotilla just off shore on the bamboo

    raft they made last year.

It's adorned with palm fronds and tiny pink flamingo lights.

They get a pretty good groove on so you will be all better

sooner than you can drink your yummy lemonade.

So stay put, nestle in and enjoy.

    {{{{{{{{FootsAngel}}}}}}}}}

    *

Wings.  Love, support, peaceful thoughts & healing energy

coming to you always from your family here.

    {{{{{{{{Wings}}}}}}}}}}}}]

    *

Susan.  To the white courtesy phone mui pronto please.

Faith.  Are you dancing the light fantastic and taking

    jello shots of lemonade?

    Happy Happy!

    *

Neesie.  I hear tell Mario has been visiting us.

Did I sleep through this experience or were we transported

to another dimension cuz I plead "the 5th!"

    *

Jaz, Jasmine sweet bird of song.

    Another great tune Mamacita!

Wonderful post.  Music to my eyes.

Thank you for your in put on the ride on mower.

I too think it was wires touching.

We had two service guys check it, do maintenance,

new blades, new everything a couple months ago.

My son told them he smelled smoke so they

looked for a fuel leak and both said (at separate visits)

    they couldn't find a leak.

We are miffed to say the least.

My brother told me to tell Sears we are going to

Michael Finney on channel 7 news about this.

Margaret will know what that means.

I just may do it as we have nothing to lose.

He is an advocate for such things happening to us the

    consumer.

    *

I just need a good mechanic as I hope it can be fixed

without having to cost a fortune.

If that's the case.  Oh boy.

    *

    New beach babe's . . .

Go to Susan's Beach apparel hut south of Beach boy Brad's

place where she runs the "It's a Beachin' Boutique"

and she will fix you right up with your special flipper flops

and what ever else suits your aquatic fancy.

The only problemo is she is working so hard in her

    boutique we rarely see her.

I think she is the one Mario is secretly seeing.

    *

Celia.  We are all collecting healing stones and glass works we

find along the shoreline and keeping them for you in a hand

    woven basket made by Lorenzo.

The treasures are to bring you healing vibes to send on to Dawn.

Keep some for yourself and hurry back to the beach as soon as

    you can.

    We are mucho missing you!

    *

I'm watering like a crazed water maiden this morning keeping

the smiles on my plants and lawns.

I love the sun but I love my greenies more.

    *

Ames.  I hope you are well.  Where are YOU?

We may have to have you go to the white courtesy phone

pronto and just check in once in awhile.

    *

I wish all a Kukla Fran & Ollie happy day on the beach.

    Loves and Hoola hoops.

    hi beachies,

i have been strolling on the beach today and am enjoying sunshine and the delicious  beachsmell that i love.

sahalie, i am so excited about the upcoming "zen of the flip flop".  i ordered a special outfit to wear that day.  Here is the costume designer wearing it:

I will bring coasters for the drinks we will share on "zen of flip flop"day:

foots, i am sorry about your bad cold.  you simply must get better as you are needed here on the beach.  thank you for the hugging angel you gave me. for you i have found a glass genie bottle so you can make all the wishes you want .

jasmine, janny, susan, wings, margaret, neesie, faith in aruba, and angel who lives on the beach, i am looking for the perfect gifts for all of you.   i have been negotiating with the sweet woman i met today who was selling her beach wares.  i think i must have walked a very long way today on our beach.

i must take off my flip flops and take a rest now.  see you later!

    WELCOME BACK GIRLS!

    *

My how we have missed you.

You didn't disappoint us with your true to themes story on

    the big screen.

Bigger and better and out of sight music to accompany your

adventure in the Big Apple you love so much.

    *

Friend and I saw "Sex And The City" today at the movies.

    I LOVED it.

The girls look outrageously fantastic of course.

Mr. Big looked fabulous as were all the outfits the girls wore.

And of course . . . the shoes.

    Jennifer Hudson was a delight.

Such a good actress and very pivotal to Carrie.

Love our favorite two gay guys who bring a ton of pizazz to

    anything they are in.

I love love love the music.

Many hilarious scenes and I will run to buy the DVD.

The movie certainly shows the beauty of friendship.

    *

I need a trip back to New York.

Samantha's pooch is a riot in the movie.

Good morning Beach Angels.  Wow, Sahalie, I've never looked that good in a little black dress.  Even when I was younger.

I'm up and off to run some errands then I'm off to the lake with some friends again this weekend.  I'm beginning to suspect that I'm the new 'old lady babysitter' since I usually stay on shore in the shade with a book.  But I don't mind at all as long as there's no 'diaper duty' involved and my friends children are very sweet and well behaved.

    Surprise song of the day!

Celia, I have some of those flip flop coasters.

Sahalie, glad you loved SATC - I loved it too.  I laughed so hard I cried.  Hot again today - we got up to 102 yesterday so you must have been hotter.  Supposed to be hotter today and then tomorrow will be in the 70s.  Stay cool.

Jaz, have fun at the beach.

    Jaz. Jackpot once again.

A true blast to the past but goes for today's missing too.

Anyone else ever fall on your tail bone while skating on the sidewalk?

Air is knocked out and momentary panic and humiliation sets in.

Then jump up.  Brush yourself off.  And skate on down the street.

    Where's my flippin

    *

Have a grand time at the Lake Jaz.  What are you reading?

    *

Margaret.  Yes me too with the laughing so hard I got tears.

    Super fun movie.

In the 100's up here in the wine country too.

Thank goodness for the AC.  I'm chanting "fog" daily.

    *

Celia.  I hope you are OK and Dawn is doing much better.

I'll go check out your thread.

    *

It's Official today!  SUMMER is here!

I hope all the beach girls are out and about doing beachy things.

Neesie, Ames, Foots, Wings, ({{{{Wings}}}}), Faith we know is

doing beachy things!  BikerJanny, Angels on distant beaches.

Whom ever else is visiting and so on.

    *

Going out to the coast today to a barbecued Oyster festival.

Watering right now to help the greens and flowers keep their

lovely smiles all the while being pounded by harse sun rays.

    hi beachies,

i had a dream about faith on the beach in aruba, and this is how she looked in my dream:

thank you all for the prayers for my friend, she is back in the hospital for a fever which has gone down, but she must be observed for 72 hours in case it spikes up high again. and still no answers for her today. we will give her more prayers.

see you all later.  i have lots to do today on this beach. the sun goes in and out today but the light here is bright bright bright and not at all dark grey!

    Beachie Bunnies one-and-all!!!!

I come home to you with sand permanently imbedded in my inner ear and other lovely crevices, not to mention. I've read thru the week that was and feel slightly up-to-date.

"Come on get happy........"   (saw them in concert @ the Indiana State Fair, back in the day & thought I was big stuff!!)

My camera is at my house with several hundred images to share over the next year. Can't wait for you to peek over my shoulder.

I'm here @ DD's with WB and the babbeez. They've all grown like mosters in a week's time -- but all are hunkey dorey & happy to see me. DD2 was here for the last 3 days being my stand-in and she left this morning at 6:00. I got to spend 15 minutes with her before they departed (her boyfriend came to meet Ohio for the first time.)

Must go rescue Sarah from her delirium of fatigue. (She's seriously happy to have me back.)

My biggest beach hugs to our Winger Gal and family in the aftermath of your loss. I am so sorry to have been away.

    Will return later with stories.

Just picture Cinderella going to the beach. That's a quick summary.

thanks to everyone for your prayers and blessings for the traveling.

OK beachie friends...... I have uploaded my first 3 pictures of the couple hundred. LOL. Are you ready to begin your travelogue?

So think of Cinderella, making it about halfway thru radiation therapy, when her dear prince says, "I've just made reservations for a week in Aruba next summer. We need something to look forward to....."

Words fail me. How do you describe the variety of blues I've just seen? Here's the view from our terrace:

Here's an up-close-and-personal look at the beach we walked.........

The sand white and glorious. Glistening. Smoldering.

The thing that still amazes me, was that in a week's time we never saw any "waves" in the manner I've always thought of beach waves. The only time there was any decernable movement was after a wave runner or motorized boat went zippping past. Typically the water just "lapped" gently, snoozling the coastline.

Oh. Another complete shock -- was the "trade winds" that greeted us. On our first saunter down to the beach, slathered with sunscreen, we were pelted with a sands-on-storm-assault. I looked like a swamp beach creature after an hour or so. At times it nearly took your breath away..... and actually would 'sting'. On rare occaisions it would stop and we'd feel equatorial heat and beg for it's return.

The beach line, tho we were directly in resort row, was totally unspoiled. Never a blemish. Never a sea shell either...... no bric a brac, no seaweed, never saw a jellyfish or a fishhead or a feather or a stick................ just glorious white sand.

    Peek-a-boo:

And imagine (more on that particular word later.... be sure I tell you of that detail) that I had day after day after day after day after day to walk back and forth across that shoreline and raise up your names in prayer:

in supplication for our BCO family, our sisters, our medical teams, our friends, our families, ourselves, our dreams.

I had the most restful, rejuvinating, reinvigorating week possible.

And I thought of you from the very beginning:

Good morning Beach Angels!  Happy Monday....yup the start of a new week.  Yawn....

Faith -- welcome back!!!  I'm so glad you had a wonderful time and the pictures are fantastic.  I can't wait to see more.  I just want you to know that I did my best with Sahalie and Neesie but I kept seeing them sneak Mario between their cabanas.

FPAngel -- I'm not sure what the watermelon thingy is about.  I'm probably one of the few true southerners that doesn't care for watermelon or grits.  Now give me a nice slice of cantaloupe and we're talking.  The only time I wanted watermelon strangely enough was during chemo.  Its the only thing that made my very sore tongue feel better.  Go figure!

Sahalie -- listen here missy.  Don't make me come to California to find you.

Wings -- I hope we see you back at the beach soon.  You are greatly missed.

Hello to Susan, Deborye, Amy, Biker, Margo, Celia, Spar2, and anyone else I missed from A to Z.

Wow!  This place looks good.  Very nice.  Good job BCO.  Kudos.

We left town for the weekend as we are surrounded by fires and smoke.  Fires above us in two directions and to the north east of us.  There's a 4,000 acre wildfire in Napa County that is so close our skies are hazed with smoke and we began smelling it heavily on Friday.

Then there is nearly 100 fires sparked by lightning strikes that have burned at least 5,000 acres up in Mendocino County.  So the smoke in my area is really thick.  At least the temps are lower today hovering in the mid 80's which is a blessing from the triple digits we were experiencing.

    *

Welcome home Faith.  Boy were you missed.  The pictures are beeeutiful.  Sounds like you had a wonderful time.  Put framed photos around your house of your favorite places on Aruba to keep that wonderful peaceful feeling in your mind as you stroll through your house.  It keeps it alive.

Someone suggested that to us last year after returning from French Polynesia.  So I did just that and I go there as often as possible in my mind.  We return the end of this October and cannot wait.

Jaz, you make me smile as usual.  Love the song of the day too!  Great jingle.

Hello to all the beach babloo's ~ regulars, new and visitors.  Guess what I saw advertized today?

"Fit flops" at Victoria's Secret.   Yep. "Fit"  I have to get some.  They look comfy.

As for Mario. Man he is something else.  I have no clue where Neesie is.  Hmmmmmm.

Faith.  Did you write "Bunnies" in the sand just for us?  Very nice.

I sure like the new look of the board.  Nice job BCO!

Thnking of you Celia and your dear friend with well wishes.  Wings and heartfelt condolences.

Foots.  What's the Watermelon deal.  I'm with Jaz on the cantaloupe.  Put some low fat cottage cheese in the cantaloupe and I am good.

Man. This smoke is something else.

See you in a while.   Salute!
