Meece, What part of California are you in? I was a native Californian and spent quite a bit of my life in many different locales.

    Southern San Joaquin.

We are going to a conference Sat & Sun.  Hopefully we'll have a bit of tourist-time.

Meece, Used to live in Hanford. You should enjoy San Diego. I am posting a link that everyone should enjoy the aurora borealis.

LUV LUV LUV LUV LUV seeing some "OL' Timers" popping through!!!!!!

So glad to see you dear beachie-babes. Welcome to newcombers and those of you who primarily read along and enjoy the pictures. This is such a lovely thread for images + tranquility!

Meecie girlieo!!!!!!!!! LUV your new profile pic!!! You clean up pretty swanky!

I'm thinkin' that glorious blue thing was some sort of something from the jelly fish family. That day they literally littered the beach. That was the only one I saw with the tall 'spines' on its back. Most were blue edged baggie looking things -- some with long tennicles (how do you spell that word? LOL) and others just lookin' like plastic inflated bags. The one above was fascinating.

I've been stung by a jelly fish and it made quite an impression on me -- so I wasn't tempted to touch any of the stuff washed up.

Here's yesterday's sunRISE over the Atlantic..... from our 13th floor timeshare unit in Daytona Beach.

We are on our way home to our 'house' in Ocala as I type. Thus concludes our 7 weeks of vagabonding across the south-east. Tomorrow is unpack and laundry.

It actually looks like the remnants of a wild beach party.

Meece, are you thinking condoms??? Embarassed

I had googled sea slug after I posted (always tend to post before I think) and saw some likely looking things too, but Meece's look like the winners!!

Faith, sweetie, only because my eye as an artist picks this up and I HATE to mention it, but the first "e" in your pic (each) should be capitalized like the other words are. Drives me nuts that I pick up typos but that just shows my eye for detail, I suppose.

Lisa, I've never been digging for them even though they are native to puget Sound.  But I must say it is very startling to see them at a fish market for the first time.

    Barbe, yes, condoms.

Chabba, I watched a "Dirty Jobs" episode about harvesting Geoducks. (For those who don't know they are a mollusk pronounced gooey duck)  I was going to post an addition pic, but thought better of it.  Yours is more G rated.

Meece, the first time I saw them in a fish market I thought the display should have been rated XXX!

Meece - Thanks for thinking about what you post and how others might be affected.  I for one appreciate the politeness of those that think about what they post and don't try excuse post with comments saying that is just how they are.

If you "HATE" to say something you should probable keep it to yourself, or at least that is what I try to do.  With this being a written type of communication some things are lost in translation and written words can easily be misunderstood and feelings can be hurt and that is not what we are about here.  So.....Ladies, please think about what you post, especially personal comments to or about another person.

    Hugs to all.

Lisa - Love the puppy figure. Those sad eyes are adorable. I wonder if they make a schnauzer like that?
