A view typical of those from homes on one of the many canals like the one we live on.

Hmmm. I never thought about deer swimming. Guess there's no reason why not.

With a canal in front of our house and the huge population of deer in our community we see deer swim quite often.

Lisa, the coloured things are "surfboards", okay, but what is the huge metal grid that they are arched over?

@3jays,,yes, Woods Hole and Falmouth. My sorority little sister lives there.

@Barbe, it is just a cross bar, I think. You can see the pier and beach behind it

Barbe....It's a sculpture, surfboards are propped against a fence....since this is a giant surfboard sculpture it needs a giant fence....also the factor of being able to walk under it.  Artistic interpretation is what I imagine....who knows!

Hey buds. I don't have a beach shot to bring to the party today ... haven't been to my "happy place" for several weeks now because of things going on at home. This weekend, the "thing" was one of the best things possible, the birth of my grandson, David Theodore Funt, born 10/6 ... 7 lb 6 oz, and the most perfect little baby since my own! I would like to share him with you all if you don't mind :) Here he was, shortly after birth, puckering up for a kiss to me!!! I'm in love already.
