Mundo beeutiful Jaz.  Is she coming to the dinner?  I like the fuzzies and colors.

You are so Channel in the know.

Remind me to tell you that last night I watched "La Vie en Rose" about our dear Edith.

Marion Cotillard was outstanding.  No wonder she won the Oscar.

What a tragic life Ms. Piaf led.  I had to watch it after your wonderful contest.

Back to shades.  Lamp shades that is.

The lady in the relaxing chair with the purple fuzzy channel hat is wearing fish net

    stockings.

How transcendental.   Love it.  And she has a nice ring on too.

    FYI

Did you know this is the bloombog that had a light bulb moment while wearing his bosses

lamp shade at the dullsville office party about using lamp shades for kitties and doggies

after surgery but now they are called "cones"

    And

That is where Saturday Night Live got the idea for the "Coneheads."

    Interesting huh!

Kool!  I didn't know that.  I hope he patented the animal 'cone' idea so he made alot of money.

Oh be still my heart when viewing that pink coiffered lamp shade.

    Now you've done it Jaz.

    The Movie.

The movie I rented through Net Flix.  "La Vie en Rose."

Brilliantly done but wayyyyyyyyyyyy too long.  2 hours 20 minutes.

My attention span on such movies begins to waver the last half hour unless it's a

    nail biter, jaw dropper.

It's in french with subtitles.  I tend to love those type movies.

Lisa.  Perfection plus on the beeutiful roses lamp shade.

    Do you like Edith's singing?

She was quite the pride and passion of France but had a

very rough childhood and began by singing on the street for coins to buy food.

    Edith Piaf circa 1940's

    *

Marion Cotillard as Edith Piaf.  She did a brilliant job and won the Oscar.

Piaf is french for Sparrow.  Not her real last name.  She was only 4' 11" and the first man

to recognize her talent called her "Little Sparrow" therefore "Piaf."

Thanks for the treats, Lisa.  Sahalie, next trip you really need to take an MP3 player with you.  With a good set of earbud earphones, it not only blocks out other people noise but also the airplane engine noise.

Looks like both Lisa and me had the same idea on the MP3 player.

the quite pink love bus made it safe & sound -- there & back

a fun time was had by all -- from 83 years to 2 months

no one did the projectile, volcanic errupting, that is infrequent, but memorable

somehow WB's precious 'goy' (blankie) got vaporized??????

sarah figured it must have fallen out of the love bus @ the rest stop

fortunately, he's able to be flexible & we had a 2nd blankie here at my house.........

going to check my lampshade collection for future jasmine parties

    new week!!!!

    Good evening Beach Angels.

Faith -- glad you made it safe and sound and so sorry about WB's blanket.

All of the barbeque ribs are gone and just a smidgeon of potato salad left for lunch tomorrow.  Had a great time and some of my neighbors started the 4th of July fireworks show early so we got a wonderful and colorful ending to the evening.

Here's a picture of some of the fireworks.  I really need to start using my camera more to get used to the settings.

Fireworks and pelicans!! What a way to start my day......

Somehow, I've got to figure out how to re-emerge into 'my' life and gracefully exit from my full time nanny duties. More embilical cutting aeorbics for me. And a one and two. And a one and two. Snip. And a one and two. And a one and two. Snip.

    Good Morning Beach Babe-Arino's!

Happy MOnday peaceful Day to each and every.

FOG IS IN.   ! ! ! !  Happy time in the town today!

Nothing like a little fog to go with our smokey air in the morning.

    * Bless our fire fighters for all their work and the hardship this has put them through.*

Faith.  Welcome home from your adventure with the family.

You are so lucky WB survived the loss of his "blankie" cuz if it were me when I was little or one

of my children there would be echoes of sorrowful wailing around the world.

WB is truly the sweetest of WB's ever.

May I suggest that Sarah watch continual episodes of "Jon & Kate Plus 8" and

she will then feel like she is living the "Life of Riley."

Also.  Is there any way she could hire a college girl or after school high schooler

to come in and help her.

Once WB is into his preschool activities she will have a little more time to breathe.

    Just some ideas.

You are truly the true  to your sweet Sarah, Babes & WB.

Your little steps out the door seem just what Mary would do plus an occasional spoon

    full of sugar.

    You are the best Faith.

Well, I totally missed out on Jaz's scrumpdiddliumptious Rib and potato salad dinner last

night, left my lamp shade on the table, went out for the day and frollied here, frolicked

there and didn't make it back home till purty late.

I am so at a loss for missing this event.

Please Ms. Jazzerini may I join you another time for your gastronomical delights.

    SoCalifantastic Pelicans Lisa

Jaz, Your righteous picture of the fireworks was my stomach after the Thai lunch

    from the day before.

Did you all hear my stomach growling?

Celia.  Dear Celia.  Great pictures of the cone collars.

And there was Elizabeth 1 right up there in all her splendor and red hair.

I just watched "The Other Boleyn Girl" a couple nights ago and witnessed her birth to

Ann who lost her head in the end.

The movie shows a frolicking Elizabeth numero uno as a child with her red curls.

I have actually seen Queen Elizabeth numero uno.  Yes.

At our annual Renaissance Faire each year in a hilly meadow of Oaks and 2,000

degree hot days, people dressed to the max in the old garb and tasty treats for mucho

    pittance.

She was a pale thing that Elizabeth1.

Greetings to all the gals on the beach where ever you may be this morning.

I say we all hit up the beach boys for some fun in the sun and maybe a cruise to one

of the outer Atolls for some picnic and games.

I'm off to the farm today to plant more plants.  Shrubs actually.

Our friend is returning this evening from the Italy trip.

Man was that a fast two weeks.  Seems like I just wrote about it.

Got to spruce the place up with some foliage and make some in the house redo

    decisions.

Painting, fixtures, new shower door etc.  Fun stuff.

    One More*

    SPAIN WON !

After 44 years, Spain reigns in the soccer world.

I am so HAPPY for them.  I have a friend living in Spain teaching English so she was

out of her mind excited about these games.

We played soccer together in school and college.

Yesterday's game in Vienna, Austria Spain didn't disappoint the fans with an amazing

    1-0 victory.

Our own beach boy Fernando's cousin Fernando Torres scored in the 33rd

minute and the team never looked back.

What do you wanna bet our Fernando is flying his Spanish flag from his beach house

    deck.

Did you know that the Spanish national anthem has no words so they chant to it.

I love you Fernando.  Hubba.  Congrats.
