Kimberly, I am so sorry about your dog, you must feel a great big loss.
I love my dogs so much, so I know how you're feeling.... my garden is just full of dogs I have buried over the years....one of my biggest things I 'always wanted to do' was to start a pet cemetery, there isn't one for miles and miles near me, but my suggestion was always poo-poo'd.
Whenever we go off out visiting old historic houses I always ask 'is there a pet cemetery?' and there usually is, so I go rootin' about in the undergrowth, looking for animal headstones, and come away in tears for animals I never even knew !!
Hugs to you and your kids.
Isabella.

I'm still here. 16 rads down, 17 to go...tomorrow, I'll be 1/2 way there. Last night I washed my "hair" with real shampoo. It felt so much softer after that - like bunny fur (not that there's much of it). Tonight, I'm also going to use some conditioner because my scalp feels very dry. I'm a long way off from FCC, but it's growing pretty fast.

Again I am not finishing reading because I don't want to forget things when I move to the next page...
Lori - welcome, I'm glad you found this page too. I have a dear friend whom I love dearly...that thinks she is helping whenever she tries to find the silver lining, says something positive, tells me to "keep on keeping on". Ugh, I just want to scream - "WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU HAD TO FACE CANCER???" I HATE IT. I'd like to say "when you want to go through 5 months of chemotherapy, another year of additional treatments, have $300.00 a month in medical expenses you can't afford, spend $4,000 in prescriptions that jack up your entire system...THEN YOU CAN TELL ME TO KEEP ON KEEPIN ON...until then, sit down, shut the f*** up and let me cry about it for a minute". Whew, didn't realize it still bugged me that much . My point is, we get it...and I'm sorry you just found us, but I'm glad you did!
Lovinmomma...I'm so sorry about your dog... What a crappy thing to deal with on top of everything else you have going on...I'm glad your husband was there to help...it's just the pits!

Good Morning, HUGS all around for any suckiness and a Happy St Pat's Day for all. Nuttin much going on here. Aches are a bit less, but day after Herceptin, I took Tylenol 3 to get to sleep. I also have a persistent itch on my back, where the bra rubs but no rash, nothing visible to the doctor either.
Bonnie, you still feeling like crap? So sorry. When is your surgery?
0 -
Hey Nancy...I still have the cold...I think it's time to go see the Dr. and get some anti-biotics...I think it's more than a cold...ear ache/tooth ache/bleeding sinuses...yeah, can't ignore it anymore and I don't want it to interfere with the surgery -which btw is next Wednesday...praise be and please, Jesus, do not let anything happen that postpones it again. I can't take another delay now that I made the decision...
Lunch break...gonna go surf a few minutes while I eat...hope it's a quiet day all...sure wish I was having corned beef and cabbage tonight

Navygirl make sure that "cold" gets properly taken care of.
Thought I'd drop by and say HI
My only complaint right now is tiredness. I could sleep and sleep and sleep.

Hugs & Luck-O-the-IRISH to us all!
My IOS is trivial--but a big PIA for me!~I have often created hair-do's for the HS plays & when they asked me to help on this one I wondered why---it is Thoroughly Modern Mille--so all "bob's" right? WRONG--only 2 or 3 of the girls cut their hair (even tho MOST agreed at auditions they WOULD!) We have very few wigs I have 6 I'm going to use-may have to cut them & what use will they be to me in the future?--sacrifices for the theatahhhh, dahlings Anyway-gotta figure out how to make thin long or medium hair look like a bob for those who won't have wigs---I say more HATS!! LOL
That's what I'll be doing til next week! See ya after the production if not before!
Be well & stay strong

I like the hat idea saint...either that or cut it yourself! HA!!!
Navy girl...hope your cold gets better.

(((((((((((((Dream))))))))))))))) Hugs girl.
Hi Everybody!! Navy, I recommend a good Pinot for your cold!
I'm having a good time with my brother. It sure is gonna make me home sick when he leaves.
Gotta go, just wanted to check in too....going to go find some green beer now.
Hugs,

WhaSux?
I have a play-related IOS today (bet you KNEW I'd be back with these! LOL) I took 6 wigs & a bunch of hair stuff to school last nite to help the kids get ready.......of course most are GREAT--tell me what to do/what you want/do anything you like--kids. BUT 2 or 3 prima donnas & I'd had a belly-full! "Don't put that stuff in my hair--it makes it stiff!" "I don't want to wear a wig EVERY night!" "Aren't you going to get us hair-nets?" Yeah---right this second with 7 other kids lined up I'm gonna leave to find YOU a hair-net!
One of the things that really got me is how RUDE & Disrespectful some of these kids are! But here's one for the bitch-squad:
One of the nastiest girls was NOT following my directions & was CURLING LONG hair on someone else! I asked as nicely as I could why she would take time to curl hair that won't show--she just stared at me......I asked her again if she needed help & I got more of the 16 yr old "read my mind" looks.....SO I stopped & said without a hint of sarcasm--Hey-maybe YOU have a better idea how to do a bob to long hair! Go ahead & finish what you're doing & then maybe YOU can teach US how to do it!!!!!! Of course---no bob!
When the drama teacher's wife (who is the costume designer) talked to me about it she LOL----I told her-that girl may be a bitch--but she was smart enough to recognize I outranked her bitch experience!!!! LOLOLOL 5 more days & this is DONE & they really are doing a beautiful job on the show!
Be well & stay strong

LOLOL Saint, that 16 year old didn't have a hope in HE** but it would have been fun to see the stand off0

"Little bitch" attempted a show-down tonite! Guess who came out on top? I only wish I had not raised my voice in front of all the other kids---but maybe now the tension with her will be over (or worse? LOL) Add to that that NUMEROUS kids waited to catch me & tell me they loved what I did-----that sure isn't something to be proud of!
Oh well, I'm surviving!---mea culpa & all that!
Sleep deep & dream sweet! Be well & stay strong!

I love that........sleep deep and dream sweet!!

Saint, that IS something to be proud of. That young girl was obviously a prima donna or bully or both! The others are glad you finally put her in her place. I bet she went home and cried in frustration. Watch her quit now.....was she the lead?
0 -
Thanx Sharon--River used to say it in chat (like 4-5 years ago)--I stole it! LOL
HUGS Barbe--long story-but she made a BIG scene crying & sobbing about 30 minutes later..(if that scene had been b4 the auditions she MIGHT have gotten the lead! LOL).....BUT I am the adult & have worked with kids for years. It was inappropriate for me to raise my voice in front of all the kids who were there. A correction was in order, but should not have been done publicly. I think we have to maintain our own integrity if we EVER hope to give the lesson to THEM! I have already arranged with the drama teacher to address the entire group tonight (& HE is not the least upset with me)
HUGS all---here's to an IOS-free day! Be well & stay strong

Saint - Maybe instead of bidding her a hearty "Break a leg", you could wish her a broken attitude! I am still amazed at the nastiness that these kids can exude. And the boldness.
0 -
Well Saint, you are a better adult than me because every memory of being snubbed and mistreated at school by the bullies would have had me stringing her up by the curtain pulls.

WhaSux?
Just a fly-by to let you know the offender actually seemed chastened last nite! Everyone seemed stunned at her change of attitude--wondering what really happened (at home?)..or if she's planning some sort of revenge! Will report breaking news at it happens! LOL
Opening nite was awesome! They rocked!
Big Hugs or that SUX as needed........be well & stay strong!

Happy Spring, THAT SUCKS, and HUGS, as needed. LOVE, Nancy

Just a quick hello & a big HOLY SUCKOLA to all.
Saint, I agree with Barbe. You really are a saint to put up with that nonsense. I don't know if I'd have been willing to sacrifice all those wigs in the first place, or put up with teenage surly-ness on top of it. You're a good egg to do this for them.
Sometimes, when I'm teaching exercices to a patient who's extra whiney or surly, I have to stop myself from saying "You think YOU have problems???......" But I can think it, ya know?? LOL
My IOS: I'm still adjusting to the new effexor extended release, so I've had a couple of serious, crashing emotional nose-dives this week, which were not fun. Once again, I'm very grateful that I can come here & complain, knowing that you'll all get it. Good thing I know that I'm basically a sane & cheerful person, because otherwise I'd think I was completely NUTZ!! I used to say I was "hormonally-challenged" when I was first going through menopause. Basically, I think that description fits now, too!! GRRRR.

Thanks all you gals for your hugs for losing my doggy. Appretiate it.
My big news....my chemo is done for this round, I have 1/2 inch of hair on my head (all grey) and the insurance company is letting me resubmit my life insurance claim for my advanced benefits and they changed the number of months the doc is allowed to say I will live and he wrote it up for me!! Praying that they accept it and pay out!
Saint, I know what you mean about not raising your voice, but maybe somebody needed to do that. Imagine the change you may have made in her life.
Hugs and Suxs to all that need it.

Saint, I'd have been darned surprised if she'd tried it on again with you. Smart girl in the end.
Edit to say..........good grief, CONGRATS on a wonderful opening night!!!
0 -
Saint - I'm stoked to hear that opening night was a smashing success!
Kimberly - hair sprouting, insurance co. reconsidering and MD co-operating. The stars are aligning for you, girl! Wanna take a bit of the proceeds and join me in Bora Bora or Moorea? It's much more reasonable for double-occupancy ya' know!
