Saint - for some reason he looks very regal in his pictures...maybe some "kingly-sounding" name?
Lovinmomma - my heart is with you; it's a tough spot to be in.
I'm going to try some Melatonin. It can't hurt, especially if I keep its side effects in the back of my mind.

The boy's name Fergus \f(e)-rgus, fer-gus\ is pronounced FER-gus. It is of Scottish, Irish and Gaelic origin, and its meaning is "supreme man; highest choice". From Fearghas. Saint Fergus the Pict (eighth century) was an Irish missionary in Scotland.
Fergus has 6 variant forms: Fearghas, Fearghus, Feargus, Fergie, Ferguson and Fergusson.
For more information, see also the related name Ferris.
Fergus is a very rare male first name and a very popular surname (source: 1990 U.S. Census). Displayed below is the baby name popularity trend for the boy's name Fergus.
So Saint, there is what Fergus means and you know, it fits.[Top]

HI Ladies.
Nicki, I am so sorry you got this crappy news. You will be in my prayers daily as you gather info and make decisions.
Have a question....What does IOS/SOI mean???
Saint YEAH!! for stable scans.
Handsome man you got there. My pick for a name is GYNORMOUS.....You could call him Gyno for short. ahhhahhahahahahhhah
Hubby dropped off my little Navy Boy at the airport in Sacramento this morning. Missed his plane yesterday cause the airline has idiots for employees. Two hours there and two hours back did not a happy mommy make. New flight left at 6am this morning so the man person took him this morning cause I don't do well driving in the dark.
Traci.....WTF is Poughkeepsie made me laugh out loud. Thanks.
Navygirl, we are never to old to run away. I do it on a regular basis. Every time I find myself contemplating criminal acts because I live with stupid men I run away to my daughters for a week or more. Nothing like a grandbaby fix to perk me right up.
Kujo....you wrote my story. tho mine started almost 5 years ago. I use Donnatal for hot flashes. It is my little wonder drug. I still have a few a day but they are very mild mannered. For sleep I use Ambien. It still works for me after 4+ years of taking it every night.
Diane, that sucks indeed....crossing my fingers.
Kimberly, squishy hugs to your kids and you. Losing are furry friends sucks buttermilk.

I'm too tired to take notes...
I've been reading the threads for hours....literally....just reading; laughing, crying, hoping, dreaming, praying......
I loved you girls so much. I really do. You are my ........................ ............ mind.
My bro is here, I laugh and smile; I forget about cancer; for just awhile. Then when he leaves, I'm feel instantly alone; then I remember my sister zone.

Dh is LOL at some of these suggestions! My kids don't like Fergus--Tho.....another uncanny thing: I named one dog after a character in one of my favorite books & was thinking of consulting it again when dh suggested Fergus---who was in that book!! (he has no way of knowing that!)
Today we came up with Chops/Chopper, Ferguson, & Gigolo .....not sure how long this is going to take---last cat had a different name at each of his first 3 vet app't !
Anyone who would like can connect with Nicki at the No Surrender site------hugs! PM for the exact edress!
Almost time for Big Love-----be well & stay strong

Wow I'm glad I found this thread. I'm so tired of being positive so for just one minute I'm going to let it all out.
I hate the fact that I'm through with treatment and I still feel awlful. I hate the fact the I have nervopothy. I hate the fact that Im never going to be the old me I really loved the old me. I really miss my old body (I can't have reconstruation) I hate wearing fake boobs all day. And if one more person tells me I should be thankful for all the things I have I think I will SCREAM!
Can anyone tell me why it isn't ok to say these things. My sister will respond with are your meds adjusted ok. This has nothing to do with my medication (which I might add I'm sick of taking).
I really feel better girls thank you for listening and not judging me
Hugs and Prayers to all

Well, Lori, we certainly aren't going to tell you that it isn't okay to say those things!
Hugs...

Welcome Lori---This AM this thread reminded me of the classroom/office of one of my favorite co-workers when I worked with middle school special ed.
She was the speach pathologist &, lucky for me, her room was often empty when things got really bad (as sometimes they would-& it was almost ALWAYS the adults-not the kids!!!) I would step into her room, shut the door & say, "Do you mind?" & then with permission I would shake my head, stomp my feet & go ARRRRGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH! Once done I felt better & could resume my day on a more positive note---that is what I hope this thread does for all the suckage we encounter!
I have 2 IOS's today---my neighbor had throat cancer & finished tx last year. I recently learned that it came back & she has had your larynx removed. I took some flowers over & her NEVER ruffled, retired-cop-swat team sharp shooter-coroner husband looked like he'd been pulled thru a knot hole! I almost lost it looking at this man who looked so defeated......& I haven't even SEEN her yet!
My past principal is one of the finest men I have ever met & easily one of the 2 BEST bosses I ever had. He was "daddy" to so many fatherless kids & a firm but gentle authoritarian with even the worst cases; a truly HOLY man. He retired early a year ago to fight his lymphoma. He had a bone marrow transplant in Dec & had been fighting host-graph disease/rejection since then..this AM I heard he is engaging hospice & coming home.....
THIS DISEASE SUX! ARRRGGGGGHHHHhhhhhhhhhh....wish that helped....
Big hugs & a big THAT SUX--you choose-one from column A, one from column B or BOTH!
Be well & stay strong
edited to correct spelling mistakes!

Today is a crappy day. Our dog died last night (at least it was peaceful in her sleep). So we spent this morning explaining that to our kids and burying her. Thank the Lord that dh was home to help. It is just a raw day!

Gentle Hugs and my shoulder to lean on. We all have our issues that may not mean much to others, but HERE, we know, we understand, we can say THAT SUCKS and no one is gonna chastize us for it. Stomp, whine, moan, cry, and have at it. You, We, I have earned the right to it. Blessings, Nancy

Kimberly,
I am so sorry!
((((HUGS)))

Kimberly - I'm adding my condolences, as well.
I believe IOS stands for "issues of suckage". Back awhile someone posted all the abbreviations we use here. It was amazing!
Saint - we call my kitty boy Sponge Bob, Splungie, Spongeena, etc. And, he is just the lovin'est cat ever! His favorite thing is to lay across our two out stretched hands, he on his back, belly up, stretched out full length. Then, we call him "Sacrificial Kitty"!!
Rumple-teaser was a kitty boy who is no longer with us, but when my daughter was dancing, she did several solos from "Cats" and so we borrowed the name from the musical. He ended up being just "Rumpie".
And I have Kliban (long "i" sound), named for the cat cartoonist, Ziggy, Marley, and Beebles. Monet is with my daughter, but her brother, Claude, is no longer with us. Their mom, Dijon also went to kitty Heaven, along with Tuna, Salmon, Perch, and Trout, the black kitties who would line up nose to tail, and follow me down the street. Now, NOBODY goes outside. Not no how!

Hey, everybody!! Here's to way less suckage in all of our lives.
I finally got to catch up on reading this thread, take some notes and relax a bit. I'm happy to say I actually have two SOI's to report.
1) Finally had the wherewithall to enter a juried art show again. Haven't in months. And I got in!! Here's a link, if anyone's interested: www.kksphotos.com/exhibits.html
2) Just got back last night from a weekend seminar for PTs and OTs on rehab for cancer patients, with the big focus on us BC gals. It was really great, in some unexpected ways, too. There was another BC-er there who was also a PT, so of course she and I bonded. Then we also got to be the ones who got massaged, which was a mega-bonus. We all learned alot about how to loosen up and decrease scar tissue, how to decrease lymphedema & cancer fatigue, increase function, etc. No instant cures, but good things to help. I plan to work on getting a couple of good home care teams together to help us all in the post-op situation, when we get sent home with inadequate discharge instructions, pain, questions, not enough help, etc., etc. My boss is totally supportive on this. Also found a few therapists to work on me and my scar tissue. Bonus!
Nicki, your news does well & truly suck. I'm so sorry to hear this. Prayers & hugs to you.
Traci, you go, girl! And I have actually been to Poughkeepsie & I even know how to pronounce it.
Saint, I'm really happy for your good test results. Have fun with the new kitty (handsome devil!) and with the kindle. "Slick as snot" indeed! LOL
Sueper, I am totally jealous about you retiring. Where's the next party? I'm there in spirit.
Diane, you get the prize for best & most ways to combat hot flashes! Thanks also for reminding me about melatonin. I was trying to remember that & called it something else, I think. Gotta get some.
Lovin, so sorry about your dog! Just lost a beloved kitty. Hugs to you.
Susan, love the name "Sponge" -- is that as in "Major Suck-up"?? And is he one??
Pinky, I sometimes spend half an hour in bed sticking various body parts out of the covers until I get my temperature just right! Works, too.
Jane, how the heck are ya? Are you all healed now? What's next?
Otter, I've been wondering about wish, too. WISH!!! Are you okay out there??? Somebody PM me if you've talked to her. Would love to call her.
PSK07, Dream, Navygirl, Barbe, Lefty,EWB, sherloc, prayrv, rock, Nico, and anyone I forgot, (((((((((((( ALL OF YOU )))))))))))))
Welcome to the funny farm, Lori!!

Kathi, I just checked your website quickly and plan to go back and stay for a long visit! I, too, am an avid photographer! I love your first pic with the "INSECTION STATION". Does everyone notice that typo? Your winter photos are very poignant, and I love your titles! You go girlfriend...
