anetnut: I got this awesome eyeliner from LOOK GOOD FEEL BETTER made by MAC makeup and it is amazing. I lost quite a bit of my eye lashes ( I counted one day and had 6 eye lashes remaining on my left eye and about 12 on the other) and I used AVON eyebrow liner (my eye brows also thinned) and everyone would say to me "wow you never lost your eyebrows or eyelashes". I used the eyeline in combination with Covergirl "Lastblast" on my (what I had left) eyelashes on the top and bottom and it really made them look fuller.

LadyinBama: I also did FEC x3 and Docetaxel x3. I am from Canada. Hope you are feeling better!

How does hair grow back after chemo?? I am 5 weeks Post chemo and I have quite a bit of thin hair on the side of my head and hardley any one the top. It is mostly peach fuzz. IS this normal?

As my hair grew back in I swore that I was going to have a reverse mohawk lol but the top finally grew in basicly at the same time.  When I was 21wks out I had a trim done around my ears and along the base of my neck to even things up a bit. Now my hair is about 1 and 1/2 in. long at 25 wks. out.

Oh my gosh, I just tried to post my photo and it's so big.  Sorry about that!  Here's my hair at 8 months post chemo (finished in Feb.).  Is there any way I can make this smaller after it's been posted??

Carrol2 - my brows and lashes mainly thinned but about 8 weeks after chemo ended the straglers fell out as the new growth got underway.  It was only a week or so and the new hairs were visible. Everyone is different, though.  My SIL had chemo for a different type of cancer and her's fell out after her second treatment.

I'm coming up on six weeks, still bald as a cueball.  Anyone else reach six weeks with no little "action"? I have some little white things sticking up, not impressive, and it has stayed stubble for weeks!

At six weeks I had stubble too. I stopped wearing the wig at 4 months. Presently at 6 months, I don't look like I am a cancer patient anymore and have had numerous people who didn't know I had cancer, compliment my short thick full hairdo. :)

My first sprouts were white and now, 7 months later the color is more normal, though I dye it, and it's very thick, frizzy and curly but it's hair!

Hey all! I am 4 months post chemo and my hair is growing in but very fuzzy like everyone elses. Well today I bought a very small 1/2 inch wide flat iron and it works beautifully on taming my frizzies. I am also about to do a keratin treatment hope it works.

Just wanted to share that there is a small enough flat iron for our short hairs. Wink

    Good night all!

    Hey all,

I just returned after being out of town and had a lot of catching up to do. Just want to say Alison 34- love your pic and I totally understand the spike thing. I have what I call the Gerber syndrome going on. My husband asked if I should trim it the other day and I said no It's gotta grow so it falls one way or the other. LOL. I just need a bow and I'd feel like pebbles.

Ladym13 - nice! You look great. I'm just a little behind you - hope I can go wig-less soon. I'm really tired of it, though I have a great wig. Looks just like my hair did before Chemo. But now, I'm dark with gray hair too. I'm afraid I'll scare everyone with the dramatic change. But the other day as I was riding home in the car, I forgot the wig was off, we stopped and got out of the car to go into Wendy's - realized I didn't have it on and it felt soooooooooooooo good. I did get a few looks though. That's what I don't want. It was funny though - my sister and I had a good chuckle. Aparently she knew but wanted to see what I'd do when I realized I didn't have it on.

Sugar 77 - WOW- those lashes look great. And I agree, the big pic helps us really see your thick curls. Encouraging. THX

11 months of hair regrowth! A year soon!

To be honest I thought my hair would have been longer by now.

Thanks Firni! Yes, it feels good to look normal even though I am still far from looking like my old self.

The only thing "not normal" in this picture is my haircolor, it is obviously completely fake! My hair grew back grey so I just colored it very blond and I kind of like it now.
