Tobyholic hi I ordered it last night from Amazon, think it was $35 for both the shampoo and conditioner.
I did see the no sulphate version on the producers website after buying it on Amazon, I tried to cancel my order and change it to the other one but it was too late.
I don't mind the sulphate so much but the other one is also paraben free, and for hormone positive people that may be better. Although I am not sure if it makes sense to be that picky u know. I will use the regular version and if I like it my next order will be the paraben free one.
Tangles, thanks so much for recommending this. I read the reviews on amazon and looks like it worked for 2/3rds of the people who used it so I am hopeful. As soon as I have 1-2 inches I will get extensions.

Tangles had me afraid to purchase from Amazon so Iwent ahead and ordered the shampoo and conditioner from their website. Hopefully, it will be the pure stuff. I'm anxious to try it. Thanks Tangles for telling us about it. I just hope it works😃

Haven't been here since before Christmas & New Year, hope you all had a wonderful time with family & friends.Wanted to say a BIG THANK YOU to all of you girls posting your pics, it's so encouraging!!
Special thanks to Puffin & Lisa514, you girls gave me hope of my hair growing back when I thought it just wasn't going to happen. It's still pretty thin & you can still see scalp ( 9 weeks PFC ) but it does seem to be filling in now. Here's hoping.
Puffin I remember seeing your 7 week photo & can't believe how much it's grown since then...congrats your hair looks great!
Lisa, loving those curls I can't believe how long they are when you pull them out straight...hooly dooly!!
Tangles thanks for the info about FAST, I'm hoping I can grab here in Australia.

About lashes...I finished chemo 2,5 years ago and my brows and lashes never fully came back. I've beeen using Latisse and it works!!! A friend gave me these tips: Pour one drop into cap and use brush to put along lash line, with eye closed. Same for other. Any left over I use on my brows, and there's been some improvement, But the lashes are now very long!!! Despite the cost, I will continue Latisse.

I have been using Hair Surge = Rogaine since 2 weeks after my last chemo. My hair has come in very even and THICK! I had female pattern baldness before chemo and that is gone. I'm coming to the 6 month mark now. My hair is about 2 1/2 inches long.
Latisse did nothing for my lashes.

Latisse made the few lashes I had SUPER long but didn't grow me anymore. The one product I found that has been a LIFE SAVOR has been the younique mascara. It has tiny little fibers in it. I don't get the DRAMATIC results that others get that have a full amount of lashes, but at least it makes the few lashes I have stand out a bit. When I put on regular mascara I could hardly tell I had it on. With this I see I have mascara on I still would love to grow a nice set of lashes but for now this Mascara will have to do. I love it so much I decided to start selling it at my salon! It ROCKS! check it out if you want.0 -
Hi ladies, I haven't posted here in a while, but I thought I'd pop in and share my 6 month PFC pic. It's starting to get to an awkward stage, but I'm trying to embrace it, have fun and learn new styles. So far it's the exact same texture as before. It's darker, though, which I'm still getting used to. I plan on highlighting it my normal blonde, but I'd like to wait and let it grow out as healthy as possible first. I've only cleaned up my nape so far, but I think I'm due for a trim in the back. I'm using Rogaine and it's really worked for me. I had female patterned baldness pre chemo and, like Noonrider, mine has come back thicker than before. So hang in there! Your hair will grow back too! I never thought I'd get here!

Mommom, Bow, Tangles - you all look fantastic! Tangles, you're an inspiration.

Wave - that's exactly how I used Latisse - one drop in the top - and it worked wonders for me. I put on on lashes & brows every night during chemo and for about a month afterward. No side effects, lashes and brows only thinned & didn't totally fall out, & no loss of lashes or brows a 2nd time. The only down side was the expense but i was determined not to lose brows.

Allydp, I love your hair!! You and noon have had amazing success with the Rogaine w/previous male pattern baldness issues. Hopefully both of you will never have to worry about that again. A blessing!Tangles, your hair is amazing! I've ordered the FAST shampoo & conditioner directly from the manufacturer. I asked the rep about dryness, as I saw that was an issue several people had with the product. She said that would be the case if you used hair color which might already be drying out your hair. Have you seen any issues with dryness from the product?
Thanks to all for posting

Ally: love your hair! I can just barely get mine to start going to the side instead of straight forward if I "rake" it to the side with my fingertips after a shower. I think it's time to try some "product" to make it stay there after it dries.
DH has used Progaine shampoo for years for his thinning hair, always bought it at the local drug store for about $10 a bottle, maybe even less. Couldn't find it at CVS my last trip there so did an internet search - it's selling for $100-$200 A BOTTLE!. It's not medicated, it's just a shampoo. Wonder what's going on. Maybe they quit making it and these are just the remaining bottles. Still, how crazy is that.

I noticed no drying the first bottle then I highlighted my hair and now I do notice it is a tiny bit drying. I just use a good spay on leave in treatment after I get out of the shower and it does the trick. Anyone who wants some FAST I talked to my Rep. He said he will ship it to you for $33.00 and you will know it is authentic. PM me if you want his info. I could send it to you from my salon also I guess either way.0 -
Allydp, thanks for posting your pic, loving that pixie look on you.

Hi Ladies,
What time did you start using Rogaine or Nioxin, I just had my first of 4 chemos, tomorrow I have my second one, will the tiny precious stubbles fall off with every chemo cycle? Do I start using Rogaine now or wait till the last chemo?
0 -
I just ordered Fast shampoo and conditioner from their website. I'm 4 months pfc and while it looks thicker then it did before my dx, looking at others who are in the same time scale as me, I could use a boost! My lashes and brows are just fine and came in pretty fast.
blueflowers, me personally, I would wait until you're finished. Seemed like a wast of product to me. I used Nioxin during chemo and it did nothing.

Tangles, I used the Younique fiber lashes when I was going through my first round of chemo. My lashes thinned but didn't fall out until after I was finished. The fiber lashes were great! It made my lashes look normal. I am using latisse right now and my lashes are coming back slowly. I am doing another round of chemo, this time Carblplatin, and it shouldn't make my hair fall out. We will see. But, as soon as my lashes are long enough I will be using the fiber lashes mascara again. I whole heartily recommend it!

I waited until two weeks after my last treatment (about the time any new hairs would have fallen out from that round) to start using both Rogaine and the Hair Surge shampoo. I use the women's 2% Rogaine twice per day. The women's 5% once a day is now on the market, but I'm afraid to switch. I hate to upset the system that is working for me. LOL
Having said that, I have to start taking Arimidex. One of the side effects is hair loss. I am not afraid of the bone pain or all the other horrible side effects. I am afraid of the potential hairloss. I realize not everyone gets every side effect, but if history with chemo and all the other stuff is an indicator, I will get every side effect. Its a given. LOL

MeeToo Im glad you LOVED the youniqie lash mascara as much as I do!0 -
homemom and noonrider,
Thanks for the advice, I will wait till the last chemo before starting with the hair products.
Noonrider - sorry to hear that you have to start another treatment with possible hair loss SE - hopefully it doesn't happen. Thankfully we now have a lot of info on hair growth- so that will be of some help.
Take care , all my fellow sisters in this fight.

Do any of you ladies that use rogain have any advice or tips on using it? I'm 7.5 months PFC, and while my hair is growing in, it's so thin and sparse with scalp clearly showing, especially on the top. I bought some of the rogain women's 5% foam, but when I apply it it seems like I'm getting more in my hair than on the scalp lol. I've tried "parting" it like the instructions say, but with only 3/4 inch of length that's not working so well.
TIA for any and all advice!

Your scalp and hair will feel really oily from it. Even though it seems like its on the hair shaft, don't worry. As long as you are applying it to your scalp you're fine. It will still be absorbed into your scalp from your hair shaft. I use the 2% liquid twice per day which I think is a bit easier to get on the scalp. (the dropper is easy to get down to the scalp.) But even with that my hair is pretty damp from it.

noonrider: I'm on Arimidex and my hair is growing in nice and full, not long, but covering my scalp and is long enough I stopped by my hairdresser's today and bought some styling gel from her.

Tangles - do you think the FAST shampoo works best if used daily? I ordered it and received it yesterday (it smells nice). My hair is less than an inch long so I haven't been bothering to wash it more than a couple times a week.

Yeah, I'm on Arimidextoo. I dont notice any hair loss, in fact it is very thick.
