Reporting live from Connecticut, I can see here Bob that Ann's got lots of hair on the legs, armpits (yes, even the numb one) and baby-fine white facial hair that's a bit alarming and she's unsure what to do about it. The top of the head situation stands just the same as our reports dating back to the middle of May.... she still has that "ostrich-head" look with no signs of regrowth whatsoever, and that one spot she shaved before chickening out....still completely barren. Now back to Phil McSaggyBalls for tonight's sports wrap-up.

Ann that ia just to funny have to have a sense of humor and you do have that.  hang in there it will come back.   my last chemo was jan 23 and i now have 1 1/2 inches on top  and a little more else where, it came in brown with gray looks frosted. I am loving hair again so it will happen.  didn't think that would ever happen again, seems like it takes forever and then all of sudden there it is real hair not a wig.    sharon

How great to laugh at our Haireed lives. Wow that was a stretch. I have more fuzz everyday. I am still a human light bulb. More scalp than hair. I am 9 1/2 weeks pfc. I think that maybe I will once more have hair. I noticed by the end of the week using Nexium that my pillow cases smell a little funky. EEEUUUU! Any one else notice this. Hope its working! I am constantly rubbing my head it feels so good to do that. AWWWWW!

One of my co-workers told me it looked like the hair on the back of my head was "wavy."  I might get my curls after all!  Friday is 5 months pfc for me.  It is also the Relay for Life I'm going to participate in.  I'm $35 away from my goal.  I'm actually the #1 fund-raiser for the event.  Of course, there are only 22 teams participating and 200 participants, but it still feels good.

Bold - ouch, that was a stretch, but a good one!!  Glad to see someone else is a punny person besides me - I regularly cause people around me to groan with the stretches I take to pun something out.

Yea, Lisa!!!!  Bedhead - what a place to aspire to be!!

I think the Nioxin is working - I seem to be getting fuzzier and fuzzier, and my eyebrows are definitely coming back in.   Now, about those lashes . . .

I think that some day that I will have hair again. I am getting more fuzzy everyday. It has not filled in yet and I am still bald without a magnifying glass.

It has been very hard on me not having enough hair to wear my tiara!!!!!!

I am trying not to be jealous. I will use this time to loose weight so I can rock my uber short hair this Christmas!

Susan, that is awesome growth at 14 weeks pfc!!!!  I am at 9 weeks today pfc and am hoping that in 5 weeks I have as much hair as you!  Wonderful!

Bold, I know what you mean - between nothing to hold up my reading glasses or sunglasses, the darn tiara just doesn't stay put - digs into my scalp!

I am finished with rads next week, and once we get through the 4th of July weekend right after that, I am starting the serious diet and exercise plan with a goal of minimum 15 lbs!!  I'm sick of things being tight on me and refuse to buy a larger size when I know it's just cancer weight.

Susan I love the "fluffy" hair.  I look no different then last week...grrrr..  I don't expect much but a little more hair would be nice.  Monday I will be 5 weeks out so I am hoping that something starts growing soon besides all the hair that I don't want.

Hey Jamieh-5 weeks out is really not that long! But I know how u feel, I'm probably one of the more impatient ones here!

I really don't know what to do with my fluff. It's only fluffy on the top and some of the sides... the back is completely straight and non-fluffy.  I'm still wearing my short wig to the office though... how can I break this habit? I'm just not comfortable wearing my fluff to work yet!!! But my wig is kinda puffy now too cause the fluff is... puffing it out:-))

Susan, so you are fluffy and puffy?  Maybe some styling product to help manage the fluff?  I'll bet Lisa1964 will have some ideas.  I don't know if your scalp is showing or not, but from your photo you have great coverage . . . why don't you ease out of the on outings this weekend, and then take the plunge on Monday?  Maybe with a scarf or something as backup in case you decide you aren't comfortable?  As soon as mine is looking as full as yours, fluff or not, I'm ditching the wigs.  Between the 94 degrees plus high humidity, and how much time I spend adjusting the wigs during the day (trying to get my computer glasses under the side flaps), I can't WAIT to ditch them!!

Susan: Your hair looks great! Even fluffy! Try some styling products.... maybe your stylist or Lisa like Chelev said, can recommend something for you. It is a tough thing going topless. I am hoping to in three weeks, when I am around 10 weeks PFC! (Thanks for the saying by the way! :))))

Chelev: Early congrats on finishing your rads next week!

Jaimieh: It is so hard to be patient with this hair thing.... just know it IS coming!

I have no problem not wearing my wig when I am NOT in the office... I have been going topless for several weeks now, but just not at work.  I dont know what it is!??! I have been without hair for 10 months now... and have changed my wigs from month to month coming to the office, so I have no problem with that part of it ... it's not like I have a secret or anything!  (hey I think I'm talking myself into somelthing here:-)

I do use a mousse and it seems to calm it down.  I am just so used to how my hair used to be! I guess this is the awkward stage of growing your hair out. Ok here I am (please excuse my silly daughter.. she seems to be in a "tongue sticking out phase" ... this is what happens when I put the mousse in (am I spelling mousse right?!;-)

OOPs the top of my head is cut off:o)

I am almost 9 months PFC, and I go through one awkward stage after another! July 10th I have appt. for a make up and hair makeover, from an upscale salon in Scottsdale AZ. I CAN'T WAIT! I have never been one to spend alot of $$$ on hair or make up, but feel I deserve it and want to feel better about myself. I feel so UGLY.

My hair is about 4" long, super curly, unmangable. Going to get highlights only, don't want to have to deal with roots.

Susan you are looking are good. Hi to everyone else and wishing you all fast growth!

    Here's to hair!

Susan, ditch the wig!!!  You are fluffier than me and I am 18.5 weeks PFC.  Your hair looks great.  Just mousse it and go.

I wore a baseball cap today becuase I knew I was going to be in the hot sun all day and when I took it off, I had hat hair!  Bed head and hat hair, all in one day!  Can life get any better?  Well actually yes.  I could have enough hair to need a blow dryer and styling brush.  S'pose that is the next goal.

Susan, i had the fluff and i use mousse and i also put a little hair product on it called short sexy hair shaping balm it calms the curls and fluff. I love the whole thing fluff or curl i don't care as long as it is hair mine is a little longer than yours and curly. everyday is a new hair experience. it looks like a very short pixie cut.

Anyone, is the weight thing common with everyone that did chemo?? i put on 10 # and it all landed in my stomach none of my pants fit anymore, i am going back to weight watchers to see if i can get that part taken care of. i am still having problems with aches and pains in the hands knees and ankle that we not there before chemo it seems to slowly be going back to normal it is amazing just what that poison does to you whole body!!!    have a great hair day

chelev your hair should do some amazing things in the next 5 weeks it amazed me how fast things change.

ditching the wig was the hardest for me also i did a little at a time, went to the store and survived i drive school bus so the next step was a baseball cap to work and then one day i ditched that also and everyone was glad to see that i had progressed to that stage of freedom wasn't as bad as i thought the kids didn't even notice one just made a comment that i got a hair cut, some hair cut.   go for the wig ditching you will survive I did and it is wonderful     Sharon

I have also gained about 15 pounds, and my knees ache like like crazy. The only thing worse than being bald is being fat and bald with a wedgie cause my clothes don't fit. I was feeling good about ditching the wig, now I am feeling crappy and sick of the man hair cut. OK, I am still grateful for my nose hairs.

I am in the same boat!  I gained about 15 pounds and my hair is CURLY!  I am glad to have it but dont have any idea what to do with it.  I havne't ditched the wig yet and it is sooo hot here in Houston!  I finished over 4 months ago and probably only have about an inch or so more of hair.  I thought it was a little more and my boyfriend said... no way!  My hairdresser thinks I should let him do a very tiny trim to clean it up and maybe I would feel a little more comfortable without the wig.  I just can't imagine right now.  I look so ugly between weight, hair and my nail problems.  I still have no big toenails and my fingernails are growing out but look so bad.   I don't think the Herceptin is helping the hair and nail growth.  Ok, enough complaining for now.  I am thankful to be done with chemo, thankful I have the ability to get good help, thankful to be rid of the cancer, thankful for many things.  I just have to remind myself sometimes!
