Dear Lord, Thank you for all the blessings you've bestowed upon us. Please guide our healthcare providers to make the best decisions about our care. Thank you for carrying us through our trials and providing the inner peace we need to move forward every day. Please help lift my spirits from this down feeling and heal my soul.  Your will be done.

    Lord,

Thank you for the beautiful sunshine we saw today in Ohio. I can see your healing touch at work in my mother. Please continue to give me guidance about decisions that need to be made regarding my parents long-term care. Help me find the words when talking about these difficult issues with them. Watching my mother being taken from me due to cancer makes me worry that I will be taken from my children prematurely. I pray for a sense of peace in this very uncertain time.

    Amen

I never posted on this forum before but thought I'd share a profound experience I had yesterday.  I have very bad anxiety especially related to health issues.  I have ADH and ADL and a strong family history.  I was going for my pre-op (9th and 10th biopsy in 3 years) for excisional surgery for atypia scheduled for tomorrow.  I was feeling so alone and scared.  Really having a hard time in that waiting room.

The nurse came to get me and her name was Mercy.  I told her a little about my history and how scared I was of medical tests and my upcoming surgery.  She grabbed my hands and looked me in the eye and recited Psalm 91.  I started to tear up.  For 40 minutes she spoke to  my about the power of prayer and how I am not alone. That no matter what, I was going to be ok.  She went on to tell me that she was only scheduled to be in ambulatory at the last minute and she felt that we were meant to meet.

Usually my blood pressure is sky high but when she took it it was normal.  I was petrified of the EKG but she talked me through it and it was normal.  On my way, out she asked me if she could hug me and out the door she went.

I cried all the way home.  In three years of this rollercoaster, I have never felt more comforted. Of course, I am nervous for tomorrow but I feel that Jesus put her there for me yesterday.

    Thank you, MERCY!

    Hi Ladies!

              Shabby,

It is amazing how God knows what we need before we do, isn't it? I know he put Mercy there just to comfort and guide you.:) Dear Heavenly Father, tonight I come to you asking for continued healing for all of my breastcancer.org friends. It is under unfortunate circumstances that we all met, but we are focused on you, Lord, and that makes us stronger than cancer. I know that we will be able to use our experiences to glorify you, Lord. To show the world that you are a mighty, merciful God, full of grace and healing. Thank you Lord, for all of the daily blessings and gifts that you bestow on us - from the sun to the rain, and the promise of eternal life through your son, Jesus Christ. Thank you Lord, for my husband, my home, and for loving me as I am. In Your Name I Pray,

    Amen

    Love,

Father thank you for the amazing women on this thread that choose to put their trust in You.  We are so grateful for the opportunity to love and serve such a Mighty God!  Please help each of us today in our struggles to understand and work out Your will in our lives.  Help us to follow You and trust You completely when our faith is weak and we are frightened.  Let us feel the presence of Your Holy Spirit working in us to guide and comfort us.  Thank You for the gift of Your Son for it's through Him that we have a relationship with You.  We ask these things in His most precious name.

Help us, O Lord, to fight this disease. Help us to take

charge of our medical care and treatment. Give us all

positive, fighting spirits. Help us to say no when it is

appropriate, remembering always to treat everyone,

including the medical staff attending us, with the same

dignity and respect that we expect of them. Guard us

from temptation to resign to passivity, negativity or

anxiety. Surround us with people who will care about

us and will pick us up if we fall. In Jesus name we pray. Amen

    For anyone interested:

    www.cancershrine.com.

I live in Arizona in the Phoenix area, and we have a cancer shrine at a Catholic church in Mesa that was built in 2008. I have been there twice and going again tomorrow. It is wonderful. And you dont have to live here to partake. If you or anyone else with cancer want to be prayed for, you can submit that request on their website. I was able to make mine in person.....and I received a small bacth of prayer notes last week (they leave your name up for 2 weeks is all b/c there are so many requests). Surprisingly I got a second batch of prayer notes yesterday, I thought I was done! I couldn't believe complete strangers prayed for me....it was very humbling and I am so grateful.

There is no fee - you can make a donation if you wish but it's all funded by people making donations on behalf of ohers. When I went and prayed there last time, I put in $20 with the prayer cards of those whom I prayed for to cover some mailing costs. But you don't have to. I made the prayer request for myself. I felt weird doing so, and kind of selfish.....but I'm alone and no one else would know to do it for me. And I am SOOOO glad I did. When I received that first small envelope and read the names of people who had prayed for me (some incldued brief notes), I literally sank to the floor crying.

Yesterday I learned I do not have to have chemo. Right now I am cancer free. I got the second batch of cards in the mail when I got home from getitng my Oncotype score. Can you believe it?

St Perergine and St Agatha are whom I have prayed Novenas for intercessions to God....I have done a powerful lot of praying. I sing at Mass weekly, but after the year I have had (PTSD diagnosis due to a breakup with a guy in June whom I cannot believe did not go through this with me...long story but it was very traumatic in nature and 7 months to the day I left I got diagnosed with breast cancer).....I pray the Rosary nightly and just find myself talking with God more. Now I have thanked him for my second life...and have asked in the last 2 days, "OK, what do You want me to do now....tell me where to go, what to do, Thy will be done...." I do believe in the power of prayer. And I have a kidck ass guardian angel! Always knew that one though :-)

    Good Evening Ladies,

I just wanted to touch base with y'all and make sure that everyone is okay following those awful storms. I was watching the news and the devastation is just horrific. Please join me in saying a prayer for those affected.

    Dear Heavenly Father,

Tonight I come to you asking for your mercy and grace for those affected by the storms that have passed through. Please comfort them, Lord, and show them that all is not lost; for your light shines even through the darkest storm. Remind them that you are in control Lord, and that glory will come in the morning. Thank you Lord, for giving us the ultimate gift - the gift of eternal life. Remind us, Lord, that cancer is similar to the devastation left from the storms, and we often feel like we are left to pick up the pieces and sort through the rubble. With you, we can carry on, knowing that you are always there to help us carry our burden.Thank you Lord, for loving us eternally, and unconditionally. In your name I pray,

                                                                                Amen

    Love,

Please pray for me that my biopsy tomorrow turns out to be B9. I can't believe I am having to go thru this again, only 7 months after my first lumpectomy. I do believe in the power of prayer. I pray to God to watch over me and get me thru this.

Father I come humbly to Your throne of grace. I plead for a cure for this disease. Please hear those that cry out to You in their fear. Let them feel Your presence. Grant them Your peace and strength. Help them to recognize that You are faithful and will not leave or forsake us. Pease ease their pain, worries and help their families as they struggle through treatments. Help each of us Father as we reach out to You in need. We ask these things in Jesus Name.

    Dear Heavenly Father,

I come to you tonight asking for guidance, as my darling husband and I try to work through fertility damage resulting from my chemo treatments. Only you know the plan you have for me, and I am asking that you allow me to be at peace with that plan. You know how much my husband and I are longing for a child, and the difficulty we have had conceiving. You know how worn out I am - and how frustrated with my body I have become. Please provide me with peace Lord, and to allow us to make this decision based on trust and faith in you Lord. Thank you Lord, for loving me, and giving me eternal life through your Son, Jesus Christ. I love you, Lord, and I commit my life to you - to serve, and to follow you in all that I say and do. Lord, I ask for comfort for Cyndy, that she is handling her first chemo well, and for Fhar451, that she had wonderfully, clear, benign, biopsy results.

    In Your Name,

                     Amen

    Love,

    Brandi
