O Lord, Thank You for all You are doing for us and others

here in challenging time. Please bless and give them strength

to stay strong, but rest in You. Give hope to all that are tired

and comfort to all that are hurting. Be with those that are alone

and give peace to all that are scared. Please help those that are

facing chemo and strengthen those having surgery or radiation.

Lord, help us to remember You are always there with all those

here and their needs. Thank You for all the doctors prayer warriors,

nurses, family and others that are with them. May they feel Your

love all around them. In Jesus name. Amen

     Hi Ladies,

I hope everyone is doing well and feeling good! I apologize for not checking on everyone sooner - my husband and I have been in the midst of moving, and I can't find a thing - let alone my laptop! Anyway, I just wanted to see how everyone was doing, and ask a favor from my sisters who will understand this more than anyone else in this world. I have a dear girlfriend whom I adore who has been diagnosed with mets to the lungs and brain. We met 3 years ago through our church, and she has been a constant source of love and support for me. She is a hospice nurse, of all things, and she was first diagnosed with triple neg breast cancer at the age of 33. She underwent a bilateral mastectomy, chemo, and radiation, and has been in remission for 5 years. In fact, she celebrated her 5 year cancerversary in April.

I am devastated, scared, and overwhelmed. My heart is absolutely breaking - I am so upset. Please if you have any words of advice for one heart broken friend, please pass it along.:)

    Dear Heavenly Father,

I come to you tonight heavy hearted and anxious. You know what a friend Kristie has been to me, and you know how instrumental she has been in helping and supporting so many young women with breast cancer. Lord, I come to you tonight asking for you to comfort her, heal her, and guide her medical team as only you can do. Lord, heal the hearts of her loved ones, as we are concerned, scared, and looking to you for peace. Lord please surround her with your love and reassurance. Give her strength when she is weary Lord, and calm her fears. Lord, please be with all of my sisters here as we all battle this disease. Thank you Lord, for all of you mercy, for it is you we serve with humble hearts and willing hands. Shine your glory through us Lord, and bless us with your healing and grace. For it is in your Holy Name I pray, Amen.

Thanks for listening ladies. Since I was diagnosed at such a young age, there aren't very many women that I have come into contact with that have been through what we have (age-wise). This is the first person (other than my beautiful forum sisters) that I have known with metastatic cancer, and I'm lost and sad. :(

    Love,

    Brandi

Gracious Father, we struggle to understand Your sovereign will at times. Lord I pray for Kristie and her family. I ask Lord that You would heal her. You are the Almighty God! Nothing is to difficult for You. Please Lord, we beseech You, not because we deserve anything from Your hand, but rather because You are loving and gracious. Please come alongside Kristie. Let her feel Your presence. Give her hope Father. Give her strength for the fight ahead. Please use Brandi as an instrument of Your grace in Kristie's life. Give Brandi comfort and peace as she struggles with her own fear and uncertainty. Oh Father be Brandi and Kristie's portion. Surround them with Your love and mercy. I ask this in Jesus Name. Amen.

Sweet Brandi, the Lord has put you into Kristie's life and she in yours for a reason. Just listen to her and comfort her when she needs you. The Holy Spirit will guide your thoughts and words.

Father I ask for Your mercy and grace for Kristie and her family and friends. She needs Your healing and comfort. Please give Brandi a listening ear and the words to speak through Your powerful Spirit. Surround both Kristie and Brandi with Your love. We ask in Jesus Name.

Thanks Rocket, for your kind words. I talked to her this morning, her spirits are good, and she is feeling a little better. She is having difficulty with her cognitive ability following the craniotomy on Saturday, and I think that has her more upset than anything. The neurosurgeon told her that her cognitive function should continue to get better every day, but she in understandably impatient. The tumor board is meeting tomorrow morning to discuss her case and form a treatment plan. To me, it was so much easier once I had a treatment plan in motion.

As someone who has been through surgery after surgery, chemo and radiation, I understand what she is going through, but only to a certain extent, as I have been blessed to be in remission for 2 years with no recurrence. My heart is breaking for her, and I guess the hardest part for me is that I don't know exactly what to say or do, and I can't fix it. (I am very maternal by nature!) I want to be there for her like she has for me, and I am having a hard time with my own anxiety, I guess - if that makes any sense! My heart just hurts for her. I will do as God tells us to do, and I will be diligent in prayer, even though I find myself asking why more than I feel like I should.

    Dear Heavenly,

Thank you for the blessings that abound around us. We are constantly in your grace and presence, and for that we are so thankful and humble. Lord, please watch over and comfort my sisters here, as we all face the different facets of this difficult disease. Thank you for watching over us and loving us Lord, despite our short comings and sins. Lord, please bless all of the beautiful, kind, women on here, as they are providing a ministry that speaks volumes. Their constant prayer and devotion is a display of your unending love and grace. Thank you Lord, for sending us your only Son, to carry our sins away and promising us the everlasting joy that awaits in your kingdom. I love you, Lord. For the glory of your name, Amen.

    Love,

    Brandi

    Hi ladies,

I need prayer tonight. I am a believer too but haven't been on this board often enough.  Maybe ive been running away from prayer and from facing God in this cancer journey because i feel a little ashamed.

I go for my path report tomorrow and im so nervous. Please pray for my results that they are good.  Im a mom of two girls, 11 and 3.5 and i jsut am recovering from Dmx and TE placement.  nervous that my path will change....but also have a good feeling that im going to get a favourable report.

Also, please pray for the girls in my thread...the Junebugs.  We're all surgery girls from June 2012 and everyone else is getting thier path reports and recovering now...having issues at home and one girl even lost her dad like two weeks after her surgery!

My heart hurts for Brandi and her friend and will bring them to Christ tonight in my prayers as well.

    Most Gracious Heavenly Father,

Thank you for the amazing gift of healing that you provide! My heart is joyful over NanG's news, and I know that there are many, many, more miracles and healing waiting to be received by your children. Father, please fill Abigail with your presence, and comfort. Please calm her anxiety and fears. Lord, I do not understand why bad things happen to good people. I do not understand the plan that you have for me. I do not understand why there is so much disdain, negativity, disease, and hate in this world. But what I do understand, what I do know, is that you love me, you lead me, and you will not forsake me. Thank you Lord, for guiding me, and using me to your glory. Lord, please provide these ladies the same assurance that you have provided me - the knowing that nothing separates us from the love of our God. Bless us Lord, and use us to testify your name and power. In your Name, Amen.

    Love,

    Brandi

    Prayer is so simple,

It is like quietly opening a door

    and slipping into

    The very presence of God.

    There is a stillness,

    To listen for His voice,

    Perhaps in petition

    or only to listen.

    It matters not,

    Just be there.

    In His presence,

    Is prayer.

Theres a time to share. a time to care.

A time to let someone know you are there.

Theres a time to laugh, cry or sing,

Or see what our life will bring.

Theres a time to stop and pray.

to give thanks for this day.

Theres a time to take your child close,

and let him know that his the most.

A time to live, a time to die. A time

to meet Our Lord on High.

A time to teach, a time to reach out to
