Saw my P'S today. Looking good. Steri strips came off today too. They look good. Pain is low I'm off pain pills for incisions. But showed P'S weird lumps along stitching line. Kinda weird to have scar tissue on the incision after just one week. But that part is under my arm towards the back so I'm not too worried. I'll watch it. The only other thing is the strange pinches and zaps every along the incisions. I know its all healing but feeling a sharp pain for like just half a second is a strange feeling too. LOL . Much love to all.

goldie I had that happen. A weird painful lump appeared about a week after surgery. It turned black and blue and got bigger before it eventually faded away. I asked my PS about it and she said that there's sometimes another layer of bruising that appears once the first layer heals. Not sure if that's what's going on with you but it's what happened to me.

yeah, Moon. Sounds like you have success this time!!!!
rlo, I saw my surgeon today, and he said it's nothing to worry about, so I'm not...lol. I am worried about the tightness I still have, and he did notice, as did I, that one boob is a wee bit higher than the other.

SanDee, I had nipple reconstruction with fat grafting off the tummy and onto the upper poles. I had holes everywhere also. A large one by the foob where she took fat out. Lots of holes at the top of the one where she put fat in and more holes on the tummy where she lipoed out the fat. Hope my brain doesn't fall out one of those holes during Christmas dinner!
Good grief! Then, I am tightly sewn on each side of the fake nipples with so called absorbable stitches. My PS says they will absorb in 2 wks. LOL...someone on another thread told me it might take 9 mths. Guess I will never know cause PS says if they don't absorb pretty soon, she is taking them out. Hope that works ok cause they have been bleeding and I am worried if she takes out the stitches...OMG
I got some Arnica at the health food store and put on my tummy. Got a small tube didn't think it would do anythg. Total amazement. My tummy bruise improved a lot! You gotta try that for bruises.

lala arnica is pretty good stuff. Works on cracked skin like on heels too. Much love

Layla, looks like you and I are tracking pretty closely. I'm 2 weeks post exchange now and all my sutures have fallen out or dissolved and most of the glue on my actual incisions is gone. I'm now really rubbing them with oils and creams to smooth out all the scars. I've probably lost about 50% of the fat grating on my upper pole, but some of this could be the reduced swelling too. I have just a little bit of rippling on my upper right side I can see when brushing my teeth or doing other right handed activities; but not too much. I hope I don't lose much more. Don't want any more fat grafting. UGHH! I'm pretty pleased with the results though, probably just slightly larger than I was before, a large B small C.

Alaris, what type of implants did you get? If I have asked you this before, I apologize. Between three anesthestias in 6 months, and pain meds I have been forgetting things lately.
I too can't decide if my swelling has gone down, or it's the fat grafting disappearing. Time will tell.

Thank you SweetandSpecial. I have a good feeling about tomorrow. I am not looking for perfect foobs so I am hopefull that one surgery will be enough. After this I want to stay away from surgeons for a long long time!

My PS said expect 2 drains (had 4 for BMX). And, I woke up to 2 drains. But a friend who had same surgery with same PS was told expect 2 drains, but woke up to none....So some of it is PS preference and some of it must be based on the individual. Maybe you will get lucky...I was dreading my drains, but they were out 6 days later (surgery 12/20, drains out 12/26), so that part is behind me now. Hooray! Good luck to you!!

Hope you have smooth sailing Nissa!!!

My PS said to expect drains, but I could be pleasantly surprised if they weren't needed (they weren't!). Sometimes they don't know until they open things up. If any revisions need to be made to the pocket or it Alloderm will be added the body will respond by creating extra fluid. Better to deal with the discomfort of drains for a while than deal with a seroma.
Take good care of yourselves!

Good luck Nissa!! My ps said no drains on exchange...fingers crossed.

I was one pleasantly surprised- no drains on my exchange and today is 2 weeks from surgery. Most of the swelling is down. Only have the hard line on the incisions left. I hope it goes away. It's pretty hard. I've massaged it very gently because it's not entirely healed yet on the inside. On the outside it looks pretty good. I have a bit more cleavage because he pushed them more to the center of my chest..they are wide around the base but of course a bit flat in front. Kinda a B/C. I'm feeling pretty good. LOL

Wonderful to hear moon!!! You deserve to be happy with them!

I found out that my PS places drains depending on the implant used My friend who had drains last week had the teardrop implants which requires pocket work, hence the drains I will be having round implants and those do not require pocket work so no drains

I am having teardrop and he told me no drains. More of the same 1 ps 2 ps.

Hi All - Thanks for good wishes. Exchange surgery yesterday went very well. Got teardrops. No need for additional pocket work. No drains. I feel so much lighter without the TEs. Now on antibiotics. No need for pain meds so far. No comparison at all with first surgery. Check-in was at 7:30, surgery at 9:30 and home by 2pm. I have not seen the final product though. Will be in this little straitjacket/vest until Monday when I have my post-op. Hoping now for no revisions but I know they are sometimes necessary. Have a great weekend!

Nisa - did you have fat grafting? If not, that is prob why you are doing so well. I hear that is the painful part esp if fat is taken from the tummy Glad you are feeling so well.

Nisa, glad you hear you are doing so well. Yes, if you had fat grafting you would know for sure. Ouch!!! Is all I have to say to that, but I am so over that now. Let us know how monday goes.

Goldie4040.......you are scaring me....just a few more days for my lipo....fat grafting and nips.....PS said I would be sore....I already have my. post op meds....due to surgery being new years eve....I told him I have a bursa problem on my left hip and he said it will be ABOVE that area on both sides....no fat on tummy, since I had 10lbs of skin removed a year after my gastric bypass surgery in 20013 sugeries within 6 week.....yikes I must be nuts, or really want this DONE....I just hope the dips and divots just go away this time around
