Thanks Ninany and Simplelife. Good luck to you.
I posted my first exchange photos on my thread in the picture forum. Some parts look odd but I have swelling so I won't be too worried yet.

Seems that fat grafting is common with exchanges now. I considering it but need to decide soon. I have. A little weight on me like 10 or 15 but plan to loose them sometime soon but you know how that goes. Lol what are the PROS and CONS OF It as far as recovery and long term effects. I would rather do from the back than anywhere but not aureus I have enough.
How do they adjust the implant size they used if they use both? Any chances that the body may reject it? Debating on calling my dr to discuss as I know he prob doesn't even like me cause I always question him but want to know if it's an option since it may look more natural. I just don't want to have incisions in other places that I don't need.
Anyone ever regret it?
Any advise on areas to avoid or the best way to know how much is best to take from an area too

babyo20- My PS won't do fat grafting at the time of exchange. He likes to wait and see how things settle and then if needed he'll do it. All PS's are different though. I've read here on several different threads how fat grating has helped many woman with a better end result. I've also read that sometimes it takes and sometimes it doesn't & they have to do it again. Best to talk to your PS if you think this is something you'll be needing.

Hey Simplelife! Good luck with your revision on Wednesday. Wednesday Last week I was hospitalized for an infection. They put me on antibiotic then took me back to OR to "rinse" everything out with antibiotic, cut away unhealthy skin and re stitch me. I was sent home Friday with I'V antibiotic and a picc line. I go to ps on Tuesday. Hoping to say implant but.... I was hoping to get back to school next week to set up my classroom. I'm so stressed about that!!!! I'm supposed to be on I'V until either aug 20-22 and I start school year aug 25....

Oh no Mommyathome! You poor thing... keeping my fingers crossed that you will heal quickly!!

Thank you piano girl!!! This sucks!!! Of course no one understands. It's just relax you'll be fine. I may lose my implant, I have no idea how I'm going to set up my class or if I'll be healed to go back to work in 2 weeks!!!! My bills are piling up because I've been out since January... It's just a big mess!

Momyathome, I'm sorry to hear about your infection. Praying that the antibiotics kick in and do their job. I hope you are taking it easy and resting to allow your body to heal. Hang in there.

Iwannaseeyoubebrave,
Thanks I'm hoping it works too!! When the visiting nurse took the bandage off the incision was UGLY!!!! it looked meaty?!?
I expected to see stitches but nurse said maybe she stitched underneath. The top was all glued. I was awake in the OR and swear I felt her stitching....oh this #%^* sucks! Well I guess I'll know more Tuesday. Last night my temp went up to 99.4 and then dropped to like 97.... So nerve racking! The nurse said don't take any meds until it gets to 100.4...

Good luck ninny and ally tomorrow!
Mommyathome dang girl! That's no fun. I can only give you one bit of advice. You have to rest. The ABX take a toll on your body. Rest. Try to just heal. As hard as it is, you can't change anything now. So roll with the punches. It still hurts but don't make it harder on yourself. Can you get help from family or friends to help set up your room? And if worse comes to worse and you lose the TE. Life goes on. It's a pain but you can deal. Soldier on. Sucks but to quote Churchill, "When you are going through hell, KEEP GOING!" You sure don't want to stay there. I'm hoping everything goes better for you and the abx works snd the skin heals.
Much love

Hi gals!
I see many of you have recently had/are going to have surgery soon. I hope all goes smoothly!
I am 4 months out and went for my first bra fitting this week. My PS said I didn't need to wear a bra, but I wanted to get some for a bit of support (and modesty for my lower cut tops). For reference: I'm 5' 7.5", 135 lbs, and have Mentor 455cc ultra high profile implants. I was a 34B-C before surgery, and am now a 32C. Very happy with my size! I've also decided not to do nipple reconstruction- I'm getting 3D tattoos with Vinny in January.
I wanted to let you know about these fabulous bras I found at Soma:
http://www.soma.com/store/browse/product.jsp?maxRe...
http://www.soma.com/store/browse/product.jsp?maxRe...
The first one is great for lower cut tops/dresses... wire free, no padding.
The second is the most comfortable, light support bra I have ever worn.
Good luck to you all! Remember, there is light at the end of the tunnel.
xoxo

How would your TE size dimensions relate to implant size? if the TE original size is350 so is 11.7 width, 10 height, 6.6 projection, filled to 450, if I go with at least a 500 mentor high profile implant which the measurements are 13.2 diameter and 5.3 projection, is there a way to tell if the 500 will fit?
Since we lose projection does the extra room from that help with fitting an implant that is bigger than the TE? Am I asking this question right?
Whippet mom how can we know using the TE and expansion sizes alone that a bigger implant can fit? Is their a correlation?
The TE seem to measure length and height but implant diameter. How do we know if we are expanded enough to fit a bigger implant?

I'm sure this has been asked before and I've looked back a little but there are so many pages. I will be ready for the exchange surgery in October. I have tissue expanders in and I have one more fill to go before I call it quits as there is so much pain in my ribs every time I get a fill. I wanted to go bigger but I don't think I can do it and work at the same time.
I work full time and I watch my two grandkids (ages 3 and 18 months) on a daily basis. How much time will I need to recover form the surgery to get the implants? I know what the doctor said but usually it doesn't take that much time. My husband and I are self employed so I usually don't take as much time off as they say I will need. I need to work to pay them, lol.
Also, I am a deer hunter and we hunt out of a tree blind. Opening day in Michigan is November 15th. Is this going to be doable? The biggest problem I see is pulling myself up in the blind as I had a lat flap surgery and my back muscles aren't as strong as they used to be.
Any input is greatly appreciated.

Jackie, where are you in MIchigan? I am in Royal Oak. My husband is a huge hunter who has been trying to get me to go so might go this year for the first time but concerned about hte recoil of it. Would be for duck. I never thought I would enjoy that but diong it to support him but mostly prove him wrong cause i think it is easy. LOL :-)My exchange is in a few weeks so wondering if I will be able to handle that too.

I see you are in Grand Rapids. Not too far. What are you filled to now? What size implants are they bringing in? I am at 450 so they are bringing in 450, 500, 550 to try.0 -
babyo - I'm in Fremont MI (about an hour NW of Grand Rapids) but bought my current vehicle at Royal Oak Ford (have family in Troy) .

Looks like there is about to be a Michigan get together! You guys need to go out to dinner or lunch sometime.

Hi everyone. I'm from Grand Rapids. Babyo20 I highly recommend giving it a try. I love hunting. My husband and I have two boys and when you are the only girl in the house you quickly learn to do what the boys do for family time. Plus I have always been a tomboy. I'm a little worried about the recoil but I use a rifle instead of a shotgun so it isn't as bad.
I'm up for a Michigan get together:)
I'm not sure what I'm filled to. When I asked the ps she said don't worry about the numbers. Just go with what you like. If I had to guess judging by the amount at surgery (100ml) and the number of fills I would say about 350-400ml but as I said thats just a guess. I would like to be a full c cup at the end of this.

Oh, mommyathome, I am *so* sorry! That sounds terrible. You have little kids too, right? I really hope someone can come stay with you and help. I'll send lots of good healing thoughts for you.

Mommyathome, I'm a teacher too so I know why you're freaking out a little about getting your room ready. I agree with Moon: get some help. Anyone who said, "Let me know if there's anything you need," now is the time to call them. Maybe you could sit and direct people on what needs to be done in your room, and I would definitely skip the stuff that isn't absolutely necessary. I wish I could come and help you!
