I love "bucks for boobs"; sounds like a great name for a fundraising team!  Well, my exchange is scheduled!  9/25, 7:30 am.  Yippee!  I can't wait.  So, finally, put me on the calendar.

     Good luck to all!

    Annie,

I think the "bucks for boobs" program needs a Bra Czar!  Really, are we certain we could trust the government to "dismantle" them, or could one of our foob model #'s end up being sold on the black market! Sounds like the I.D. confusion could make a good CSI episode!

Dawn: Hoping everything went smoothly and you're resting and HAPPY! Let us know how you are when you feel up to it ((HUGS))

Still lurking around. So many pages to read! Had out of town visitors for 5 days and got behind in my reading! My ONCOTYPE score came back a 9 so I won't be doing any chemo but I still thank the Lord every day for my blessings and pray for those who are going through it. I don't quite know what a 9 means % wise because I haven't seen my ONC yet ( his nurse called to give me the news).

Deborah, I'm still laughing! Sounds like something I would say!

    Dawn,

That is great news! My score was 18 which translated into an 11% chance for reoccurrance. I don't think it is a linear relationship...but you certainly got a very low number!

    God Bless!

Anyone know of any good PS's in the Dallas, Ft.Worth, Texas area? I'm wanting to change surgeons, but don't want another quack like I have been dealing with for several months. Deborah is trying to help me out, but I thought I would post in case someone else had any input.

    Thanks,

    Kathy

    My560sel - Cool, that's a great oncotype score.

Love to our sisters having surgery this week and those recovering. Wishing for soft, bouncey, lovely boobs! - Jean

Dawn - hope you are recoving just fine, sending healing vibes your way.

mallenne - good luck with your exchange tomorrow, I am sure you will be happy when you awake to the new set.

    Hi Ladies,

I must admit I am (((((((((((HAPPY)))))))))))))with my results, the nipples have little cups over them to protect them and I still have my drains but I think they look pretty good right now so they will be wonderful in 6 weeks when everything settles......did I mention I am ((((((HAPPY))))))with my results.....I will be posting pictures on the forum soon and I think I have  the perfect size and projection for my body, PS did a wonderful job. i actually feel like an a** for worrying so much now but all is well in foob ville. Thanks to all for the support.

Dani42 - I must say I am very impressed so far with my results, of course I wanted to be much smaller then I was before and I wasn't looking for perfection from the get go since as some one put it I was a DD long. I have small amount of cleavage and fill out a shirt very nicely, I don't have the surgical bra because it would press on the fipple protectors and we wouldn't want that. I see myself as a B but will confirm when I actually go to buy a bra which I probally won't have to, the PS dosen't foresee them dropping any more than they are now. I have a nice little natural droop that makes nice cleavage when pushed up on and surprise no hamburger bun look. My fipple are at least 1 inch long but I know that is temp but if not I would be on high beam with these new babies all the time.

Good luck to all and best wishes for surgery this week.

    Hi Ladies,

Just wanted to give you quick update.  I can't tell anything with the bandages and surgical bra on, I did try to feel them LOL, and they are SOFT YIPEE for me!  I fainted in the car on the way home, did the same thing on the way home from the mx surgery, I'm a fainter any how but my DH was especially freaked out since it was after surgery.  I'm fine this evening tho'.  I take the bandages off on Wed. so I'll let you know what I find in there.  HUGS and thanks to all of you, Dawn

PS Hope everyone else's surgeries go well, I'll be thinking of you!

Dawn... so glad you are home and it is over.. not too bad huh?

I laughed at this thread all day... THANKS for the laughs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Misty.. HERE IS HOPING it looks just how you want.

So far, mine are still looking great! The shape is good the slope is good. I will admit, I wish I was larger. Boob greed. So strange for me.

I really wish I could wear an underwire push up.. then I could not see the ripples when I bend over. You know, if I deside not to endure anymore.. I am sure I will buy the underwire push up... and just take my chances...:)... I have tried the other pushups this weekend.. nope... nothing works like the underswire.....

I can tell you now ( unless it changes) I can not ever wear even a little v -neck or lower cut shirt due to ripples... :(.. so I have a choice to make. Fat graph with painful lipo and God knows how much time off work... or just be happy with what I have and thankful , so far... it is working out with NO FLAP surgery after rads... and no lower cut shirts and no boob cleavage showing in my bathing suit tops anymore... start over.. hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm... well.. If I do anything.. it will be Oct... so I have some time to think....

Grandkids are with me now Monday-Wednesday...:).... my life if full and fulfilling...:)... oh yeah.. and our oldest grandchild is turning 3 in two weeks... WOW.... :)..... life goes on.... PRAISE GOD!

ps... for anyone having relentless hot flashes.. PLEASE pm so I can talk to someone. I am on effexor.. 75 mg.. and I am afraid to take more.. really just want off it... but the hotflashes are back...  THIS IS NOT A JOKE.... :).... I am back to having them every 15 min. it is so terrible... I would so love any advice.. I have about 50 or more a day again...

Eeekkkk.. just re-read my post and I sound terrible...hehe.. I am really not that bad.. just suffering the same as you all.....LOL....

MALLENNE.... GOOD LUCK TOMORROW !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU ARE GONNA DO GREAT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Misty- So happy for you. It must feel great to love your results especially with all of the worrying that you did. I am doing a lot of worrying too, and not getting a lot of sympathy at home either..err.

Dawn- It's great to hear from you. I can't wait to hear how you like everything. Is it great to have the bricks out?? I am fantasizing about it..hehe. how long did your surgery take?

Linda- Glad you are starting to feel back to your old self. i know how terrible that phenergrin can be.

Laura- Oh no. Hot flashes on top of everything else. You are way too young for that, aren't you? I'm sorry, I have no words of advice for you, just hope it gets better for you.

Melissa and Dawn- you guys are making me so excited!!!!  I simply can NOT wait to get these bricks out- I have been especially sore this week!!!  My surgery is in a couple of weeks so now I am just so happy to hear from you guys.  Are you still on pain pills and sleeping a lot.  We are trying to figure out how long my husband should take off from work.  One week or two?  I have 2 TE's to exchange and he said he is going to have to build my pocket a bit.  And my surgery is on a Friday and my sons open houses for school is the following Thursday do you think I will feel up to going to that???

I am just so happy for you guys!

Hi Judy- I haven't been on in a long time either- trying to enjoy every minute of summer before this next surgery.  I absolutely LOVE my new PS and he isn't "frustrated" by me!!! haha!!!  He answers all my questions and is an amazing surgeon- he has pulled me in to look at 2 different women (after asking for their consent of course) those women did not even have scares- amazing work!!!

And I am not a toughy.. I take the pain pills these days if I wanna.... :) You will be fine pain wise and gettin' around wise....

Are you on Calcium, Vit D AND MAGNESIUM (400MG) for those hot flashes?  Read it somewhere on this site and googled it....some say the mag makes all the difference!

    Good Luck and God Bless!

mallenne and 4greatkids - Best wishes with your exchange surgeries! May you have a beautiful outcome!

Misty- I am so glad to hear your happy with your results and feeling better! I will be excited to see how another gal my size looks.

Linda- Glad your feeling better too! Daisys- LOL!

Dawn- Glad things are "soft". I am sorry about the fainting- that is not fun.

Deb- God bless you honey! You have answered SO many questions of mine! You are such a patient and supportive person. Could we clone you and take you to our PS visits? I can see it now... Cesar the dog whisperer is hired to go to peoples houses and fix their dogs... We could start a whole show around Deb the Boob Whisper coming to appointments to fix our PS... Hey maybe we have a new business model for you?!

Laura- I will PM you on the hotflash thing. I had wicked wicked ones that were nonstop for some time too.

Oh my goodness I am so excited! Judy and I have made the list of exchange at some time in the future. It feels official now!

Estepp- thanks for answering me- how nice to hear!!! I don't have any problems with anest either so hopefully I will make the open houses!!!!  My PS has me spending one night in the hospital, so I was hoping it wouldn't be too bad.  How long did it take you to get your drains out????  I really am nervous about going to a school with drains in because of the potential infection factor?! If someone is sick?!

I bet we all recover so fast from the exchange due to the fact that these bricks are so uncomfortable to have something else in is a relief!

    Anyway- bless you guys!!

I wrote last week about whether I should go smaller for my implants, and I finally was able to post pictures  on the site. My name there is AliO, and the thread is AliO pix-size help.  I'm sorry it took so long, I was away this weekend.

As I wrote last week, I have Mentor CPG gummies, moderate plus profile (style 322) size 585cc. My PS has to fix the right side because there is a fold of skin and she said these won't settle into it -- it needs adjustment. But, she  said that she could put in smaller implants at the same time, so I am trying to make that decision. I'm just 4 weeks out of exchange surgery, but while I still have a bit of swelling on the sides from some lipo, my ps said that the size/shape won't change very much--I guess they do not move the way the round ones do.

I'd love some opinions about sizing. I still plan to go with the CPG anatomical gummies. I feel that the size I have now is too wide, although the projection is fine (would be okay if it were smaller as well though). I was a DD+ before surgery, and wanted to be a small C at most -- now I'm  a large C or small D. They look good with clothes, but this large size is heavy and I just feel like something a bit smaller and lighter would feel better. I'm 5'4", around 155 pounds (hoping to lose 15 or so) and have a 33.5 ribcage.

Here is a link to Mentor CPG anatomical sizing:
    http://www.mentorcorp.com/global/breast-reconstruction/contour-profile-gel.htm
Here is a link for sizing for the anatomical gummies that I have:
    http://www.cohesiveimplants.com/cpg-322.html

Here is a link to the high profile ones (I htink these would be too narrow with too much projection:
    http://www.cohesiveimplants.com/cpg-323.html

    Thanks so much,

    A

HI Cheri.. I did not stay overnight with exchange.. and I did not have drains. I do not think you will be in anymore pain that I , or the rest of us.. but having drains in STINKS! YUKKO... lol.. you will have to find something those silly drains fit into. I wore a jogging suit when I had mast and Te and did have those drains a week. I put the drains in the pockets inside the jacket. but it was winter and that worked well...
