Hi all, As I have said before I don't post often but watch the site often and really appreciate all the info here.I had my exchange surgery and lift last Fri. All is good,I was home Sat afternoon with 1 drain and very little pain. The home care nurse removed the drain on Monday and I have not had to take any pain meds since. I removed my bandages after my shower as I was very anxious to see the results (the nurse had left supplies to rebandage) I am very pleased with the lift, looks amazing even tho some swelling and bruising. The exchange side is ok but certainly not like the other. From reading the posts I know that it will take awhile for it to settle and get the correct shape.I see the PS on Tues and I am sure he will eleviate my concerns. I also ordered nipples from the website recommended on this site, even testing them makes the girls look more even. Overall I am very very pleased and know that 4 days post op is awfully soon to expect perfect results! I am a bit impatient.LOL.
Thank You again for all the wonderful posts and the sisterhood

Laura, Take it easy tomorrow at work, maybe only go for 1/2 day? Pneumonia is a bugger to get rid of and you need to stay on the road to recovery for the 28th.
Terri, I hear your frustration at having a postponement of a date you had all settled in your mind, I don't do change in plans well. Deborah is right to allow for your expander to settle in and allow for the right size implant the first time. This "change" may well work in your favor, but is a hard pill to swallow when you wanted it sooner. BTW it was Yvonne who was delayed in her exchange and got in on "stand by" as I remember. I think she was very happy with her results.
Judy!!!!! A date, a date! A very important date! I will get to see you the week before this great event if you are still up to it! Let me know what I can bring to the party! Whoo Hoo.
Weet, I am glad that you are home and that all is going well. It did take time for my scar to relax and still could bend some more to round out some more. Give it some time and if you are not happy, let your PS know.

Colleen,
The paper is 7 pages, but I will PDF it and email to anyone who wants it. I hope it isn't a disappointment--we had a page limit and could have written another 4 or 5 pages, but I'm happy to share it. If you would like to read it just PM me an email I can send it to. I may not get to it before this weekend. Thank you for your interest.
All--I have a question about hot flashes. I have not really had them during the day--I do have them all night long--but tend to fall back to sleep, so I don't notice much more than being hot and sweatty, but today I had what I think were a couple and my heart was racing, I turned red, and was sweatty. Hot flash or heart attack?
Sweet dreams,
KarenW

Got my exchange surgery date today.... December 15th. Woo-Hoo! I got 550 on the right side and 575 on the left (left side is sunken in a little because of my ribcage). My hubby said I have huge foobs, even if they're square!

Coolbreeze,
May the Lord bless you and heal you....keep you in His care, Remember we are all as one!
Ladies, since I just had my last expansion...actually I had some saline removed because I was VERY uncomfortable and as soon as my PS "deflated" me a little I feel wonderful!!!! Now is the waiting game and my question is how long is the typical waiting period until the exchange???
God bless to all,
NAE

Hi sisters! My surgery was yesterday and it all seemed to go smoothly! I slept the entire day and most of this morning. My daughter brought me my computer tonight so I'm able to check in. She will be sleeping over with me here in the hospital.
Yes I do have pain low on my tummy where my incision is from the hysterectomy. I have no feeling my my breasts so I'm good there. My ps told me that I will be black and blue where he lipo-ed.
I shoukd be able to go home tomorrow or Friday.
I hope all is well here!
HUGS!

Good morning Janet!
I wanted to check before I headed out the door and her you are! You sound great, and yep, the incision site on my stomach was the worst part, also figuring out how to get out of bed because I couldn't use my arms super well for a few days, and couldn't use my abs!
I'm so glad to see your face and hope that you have a great day of healing and resting.
Lots of Love and Hugs---Karen

Hi ladies, you can add me to the list. My exchange surgery is scheduled for Nov 18 and I can't wait. I'm so uncomfortable sleeping at night. I'm hoping that will ease up soon after surgery. Terri, so sorry to see your date was delayed by other surgeries. Hang in there!! Will keep my fingers crossed that something comes open in December for you.

Congrats kittycat on your exchange date.
KarenW, HOT FLASH sweetie....I would get so agitated and felt like my heart was racing. I tried the effexor but it gave me constipation for 8 months so I quit cold turkey. I am now on Clonidine (HB meds, but I don't have high blood pressure) because if helps with flashes. So far so good....I still have some but they are less severe. tolerable you might say..way better than before. The only side effect with clonidine is dry mouth for me. LOL better than constipation....
Laura, thanks for the info on the scars. My PS must do it right because my scars look good after my revision. Even though you feel good you best take care and not overdo it at work. We sure don't want you to miss your surgery date.

The lipo was NOT for grafts....it was to get rid of the fat! lol After my surgeries I ended up with a lot more fat on the sides of my boobs...you know under my armpits. I felt like I had 4 boobs!
I'm home...and have already bagged some jewelry orders and I have taken a nap!
OK ready for another nap...haha

Glad you are home Janet....I have fallen asleep several times while trying to read all these post. You think I need a nap.?..LOL...

Someone just PM'd me with a question I'd like to repeat the answer to here...
You CANNOT do 3D tattooing of two areolas/nips in 30 minutes.
You need time to fill out paperwork.
Time to get numb ( this takes 15-20 minutes)
Time to do the procedure- Even the fastest tech would take more than 30 minutes to do two breasts. And...
Time to tell you how to care for themThat is more than 30 minutes!! And we didn't even allow time to talk about color choices.. This would be a less than optimal job. Certainly not multi-color, blended out, etc. Not 3D...
I thought you'd be interested. JUDY

Last Monday.( granted, I was really ill and did not know it.I sat in my last treatment and cried and cried.. I saved Packers CD for this WONDERFUL event... I listened to it all day.. crying until I got home at 5 ish. Had to pull off the road a few good times to wipe my eyes. It was HORRID.
All I wanted to do.. was CALL anyone of you... BUT I could not. I did not have the #'s in my purse..
We are a sisterhood that is forever one.
I meet Teresa at 10:30 in the morning tomorrow.. she is seeing my PS.. PLEASE pray that she feels something with him.. and that she will feel a trust with him.. I KNOW this is hard. Think of her tomorrow ladies... TY

NAE,
I had about 2 months from last fill to exchange.....Deborah suggests 3 months from what she understands....so figure at least 2, 3 may be better and hopefully not too much longer after that. Hope that helps!
Gentle hugs and God Bless!

Linda--Thanks for the encouragment and suggetions about hot flashes. Laura too.
So, I went to my PCP yesterday because I've had shoulder pain for about 3 weeks. She sent me for x-rays today, and of course, guess what I get to do now because, some things in my should aren't "quite right?" I get to have a bone scan, and I still have my second lung scan on November 20th. I saw a PT today, my shoulder is all taped up, I hurt, and now I feel really bitchy.
Laura--I've been reading the card you sent me all day. I know I'm fine, but the jerking around is exhausting. My 1 year is November 17th, I'd like to think I can celebrate, and not be shrouded in all this uncertainty.
Thank for listening. I'm really rather pissy tonight.
Peace--KarenW

Pissy is as Pissy does....
Sweet, strong Karen.. they will throw us in a bone scan everytime we yell ouch. But... maybe that is good thing. I have had 4 bone scans in a year. Clear... Keep on reading the scripture verse... have FULL belief in it. I love you!

Laura, How are you feeling?
Janet! Glad to know that you are home and that all of the procedures went well, rest and take good care of yourself.
Colleen, Are you looking for love in all the wrong places? The prodigal sister returns with a smile on her face!
Judy, I cannot wait to meet the real "nipcasso" in March!
Karen, Wow hot flashes. How miserable, I have no advice, but my sympathy is with you.
I am back from NY and I had a great time, but like Deborah said about Colleen, there is no place like home. Jan
