    Lorraine,

I'm only 5'0" and 104 lbs.  I think I may topple over with "D"'s but wouldn't that give them something to talk about?!

It really stinks how many people this effects.  It is great for your friend that she has you right now.  When you talk to other people, they just ask you a ton of questions, they don't have anything to offer that is helpful.  This website has been so wonderful.  I can't imagine going through this without the input from women here.

I am surprised that your implants are larger than what you were expanded to. Did your PS say why he did it that way?

Tracy - I love it, there are some new  boobs in town!  So, I should be shopping for tight, revealing clothing, high pumps, fake nails, big hair and practice leaning forward!  Sorry, flashed back to the 80's there for a minute!

Hey Tracey!  I've been thinking about the Vegas trip and how great it would be to meet my bc.org sisters!  The thought of flying to Vegas alone is a little disturbing, as I don't do much of anything alone.  I've connected with two ladies in my area through this site, so I'll ask if either or both are interested.

Enjoying the posts with so many talking about cup size, etc.  I'm just trying to end up with a match, since I had recon just on the left.  Right now the implant side is still smaller after a month, but I'll find out about fill-ins at my appt. on the 26th.

For those who asked, yes, yes, yes, the exchange surgery is so much less traumatic, less painful, less time-consuming, and less disruptive than the mast--just check out all the ladies who posted hours before and again hours after surgery!

I'm back to work full time--feels good to be making money again, but I have to retrain myself to stay on task!

Tracey! I am in!!! It will be right around my 50th birthday ugh!! Dani42, as you are so tiny, I am still thinking D's LOL!! ok maybe large C!! PS usually does this I guess, she likes to make you tight so that when you do "drop and fluff" you won't be too droopy and she says it eliminates the chance of ripples, but who knows, right now I just feel like I still have the darn expanders in! not cool!! oh well, have come this far, I will see how it all plays out!

RE: Capsular contracture....I also found that use of an anti-inflammatory patch has proved successful in reducing CC if treated early enough....[Carol mentioned this complication but just posting this for reference if someone needs this info down the road.]

Thanks Deborah!! With TE and the radiation I am doing.. I need to know all I can to keep CC at bay. I book marked this last one. Why does singuliar work for CC?? I did not get the reasoning behind that.

    Thank you very much!

Just wanted to make a comment about the size factor.....C cup is the new B cup....

B cup was once the normal size but now it is C cup....everything is getting bigger: super size fries, drinks and burgers  LOL  so our boobs are also.  Clothes do not fit B cups anymore, it takes a C to fill out the clothes...I am petite and I went with a C cup and I am thrilled that I look better in clothes and especially bras.   So my advice to all who are worried about size******************GO FOR IT!!!!!   Get at least a C-cup if you are short and D-cup if you are medium to tall....

Hope this helps.....don't regret not going larger....just go for it.....you will be glad you did.

    Jean,

I have the Naturelle by Allergan style 20 silicone implants.  The rad side is 375cc and the prophylactic side is 350cc, which is slightly fuller than the rad side even though it has 25cc more.  I fill out a C-cup.  I am 5' 1 1/2" tall and 112 lbs small boned.  My rib cage measures 29" and I buy a 34 band size in a bra....I have great projection with the style 20.

Tracey, I will let you know about VEGAS baby!!!

Dianne, I think you need to stay away from the D's....leave those for the bigger girls....LOL

Laura - Here is the link to some information re: Singulaire:

Some additional information - especially about aeration - letting it all hang out - if you will...wearing loose clothing...

Anti-inflammatory cream found to be helpful in reducing skin reactions from radiotherapy - published two months ago...worth asking your MD about this...ANYTHING preventative.  I also remember reading that caffeine intake was found to possibly help skin integrity during radiation.

Laura I will pm you on the swim suit issue. It may take a little added padding just in the right spots but I hope you can get something to work.

Dani42 you show those so called friends we can have soft and dam good looking boobs when your all done ; - )

Jean I'm thinking stay away from style 15. I know one of the gals that had them on the pix forum isn't happy and is even planning on going for the 45's wow ; - ) I think the 20's might be a good choices at least I think they look good on Linda ( I hope she don't mind me saying I think her boobs are hot Embarassed ) Jean pocket revision is usually when one breast is higher or lower than the other or also could be further out and needs brought together so you get better cleavage

Dani42 I just wanted to add when choosing a implant you have to look more at than just the cc look at the dim of TE and have implant close to that. Weird thing is sometimes it is a lot more cc's. My 1st implant was 20cc more than my TE but way smaller than my TE. I know it doesn't make any since but it was.

I don't mind you saying that my boobs are hot.  My DH has yet to say anything about how they look, good or bad!!!!  I am praying that he will change when I get the nipps.  It would be nice to hear it from a man (DH) instead of a woman,,,HAHA

I hope everyone who have had their exchanges are doing great and are loving the softness.....

Hey Ladies.........busily trying to get ready for Vegas.......going for hair done today.......no Idea how I will come home.......need a pedi........and dare I say......I really want to go for a few tans at the the tanning salon........is that awful?........I'll cover up the girls.....just don't want to burn when I get there......and I love to be tanned.....did manage to find some little silicone boobie things that work great in my bathing suit and also in the 2 new bras that I found.........no if only this leaking would stop......I could actually wear them.......actually if I'm honest......seems to have gone away the last 24 hours.......I just don't want to jinx it.

Lorraine.......my plan is to have my implants be quite a bit larger than in CC's than my TE are.....so I am interested in your progress......I think I will probably feel similar.......I will keep fingers crossed for softness soon.

HuneyB2 and Fairy49- I am having pain too. It is nothing like the BM but it is still there. I think I am having some muscle stretching too since mine are bigger than the expanders. Mine are 600cc 13.8 diameter and 5.7 projection allergan naturelle high profile and I love them! Dianne- Oh my goodness what kind of people are you hanging out with! They are just jealous because you are beautiful and you are going to have awesome boobs that you get covered by insurance. That is only a small compensation for what you have gone through! All of my friends are happy for me except for one. She said "Why did you get them so big! I don't think that was necessary!" All of my other friends chimed in and said they would have asked the surgeon to make them look like what they had always wanted. Why not? You need to be happy and if you get them too small you will probably regret it. Have your husband help you decide or if you don't have one of those someone who you know is in your best interest. My husband wouldn't tell me what he wanted. He wanted me to decide. I trusted my surgeon and said "Just make me look good" and she did. Mom_of_2 and Soccermom I am glad you are happy. I think March is a good month. Everyone seems to be happy so far! Janet- the exchange surgery is not as bad but you still need to take it easy. I did way too much yesterday and i regretted it last evening. Take it easy after so you don't hurt your new boobs!

    Hey Ladies,

I have been waiting to join you all! I am having my exchange on Mon March 16th. I am excited and nervous at the same time.

My ps will be using silicone implants. He said he will be removing some of the scarring I have from my lat flap and I may need a second appt for revisions. I wanted to tell him that I am just really grateful to be getting the bocci balls of my chest!

Reading some of your posts has made this much easier as well as all the photos on the pic site. Thank you all for your generous support.

    Laura,

I wore a tank and swim skirt with my TEs and even went to the Bahamas. It looked fine, since it was high on the top and at the armpit.  As a matter of fact, I am still wearing the tank because I have shelf-boob now.  Hopefully, that will be fixed with my revision next week.

I haven't been on the website much this week.  I am taking care of my grandson who had his tonsils out.  He's a sick little puppy.

Lexi -I think you are our only exchange for Monday - so I wanted to wish you the very best!

Lorraine - I bet you look wonderful! My PS doesn't like me to give too many suggestions, She says she tries on implants in the OR and goes w/ the one that looks the best. It may be style 15 or 20, and it may be 350 cc, but I don't really know. She tends to take charge that way. But she has a great reputation, so I am going w/ it. WHen I look at the pictures on the picture forum it seems like almost everyone looks great to me. Especially when I think about how my 54 year old body looked before surgery. Heavens... it is going to be an improvment! Undecided

Perhaps the finality of the implants is what makes them a little more worrisome. At least w/ the TE's we knew it was not forever.

Take care everyone. I need to take my dog for a walk! - Jean

    Jill,

What if you don't like the dimensions of the TE?  Mine are under my armpits mostly.  My cleavage is high and I like that.  I did ask at the last appointment and the ps didn't have dimensions of the TE in the file, I saw his assistant.  His assistant asked him how many cc's the TE's held but she didn't ask him anything else.  I go next Friday so I will ask more then.  I also want my spider veins taken care of!

You keep talking like you are old.  Let me inform you sista that 54 is not old.  I just turned 55 and I can keep up with all these younger ones.  Some people want to make the 50's old, not me, I am in my prime and old is not in my vocabulary..........Thanks for keeping this topic up to date.  You are a sweetie pie, a young 54 sweetie pie.....
