Thanks Deborah--I was hoping that this was the case--not that I would lose projection
but that with exchange it would even up.Laura, you have a generous heart and it goes without saying (but I will say it anyway)--You are an amazing person and we all thank you from the bottom of our hearts for putting together this surprise for Deborah! Truly a beautiful thing! Thank you for letting me participate!

mslrg - what a wonderful thing to do with our bras that don't work so well after exchange/reconstruction. I am pretty much the same size as pre BMX, however the bras fit much differently and the old ones were all underwire, not a favorite with my PS and some of them really do not fit well. They are mostly all SOMA and the formed ones for under T-shirts, etc. Now the new "perky" nips are too high and they are not comfortable in the older models. Would you want to think about the possibility of collecting our old bras to send with your cousin to Uganda? I would really like them to go to someone who really does not have the resources to get one and think how much it would mean to them. Like you, I shudder to think about how many of those women probably have breast cancer and can do nothing about it. I have done some missionary work in the poor areas of Honduras with a medical team from a church I used to go to and know what medical care is sorely lacking in these areas. PM me if you would like to collect some bras for your cousin to take to Uganda.
Deborah - So nice you had a very happy birthday surprise party and DH too.

I can still wear all my Maidenform 36D underwire Demi bras style 7959
Thanks to Deborah...at my second exchange my PS switched out my Mentor HP 750s for these Allergan Style 45 800s which are narrower and have more projection.
So, my new boobs fill out the bra nicely, although not as much upper fullness. The bra does lift enough to mostly cover the step off that is there when I am braless.
I think the extra projection of the Style 45s must be what is doing this.
After all the talk on these threads about improper fits and many finding out they need a larger cup size....I did order my same bra in a 36 DD just to check...and there was way too much room in it.

OK, I've climbed out of the black hole I threw myself in, put on my big girl panties and declared my pity party officially over. Thanks for all the lifelines. (It was a BIG hole.)

Kate - Sometimes a pity party is EXACTLY what the situation necessitates! But glad you're back in the sunshine!

LOL Kate -- I so know how you feel. I remember even deciding I was tired of feeling bad! I called it post partum depression (how it felt)... but yay for feeling better!
0 -
Thanks Lilah! It does feel like post partum depression only instead of just one baby I have twin "girls"! LOL!

Ladies, from all the responses.. I will be donating the left over monies to the young man's family. His name is Gavin. I will add this money to the pot of money I am trying to put together.
I hope to get $500.00 for them.
Thinking about how HARD this is on us, having BC. could you even imagine it being your young child?
Thank you ladies! You are wonderful and full of love and hope!

Laura: I am so glad this money is going to someone in need. I hope you raise triple the amount of your goal!
Musiclovermom - Good luck tomorrow with your procedures!
Kate: I am so glad you are back! It isn't a great place to be in and I am glad we could help lift your spirits. I'll be at any pity party you invite me too, but I would much rather hear you are your cheerful, fiesty self. I am sure that in time you will come to love your adopted twins as much as if they were your own.

Deborah~ COUGAR!!!! LOL!!!! Well that makes me a cougar too as i am 4 months older than Jason!
Oh i love True Blood and Vampire Diaries! Damon is sooooooooo hot!!!!! We just finished series 2 here last week (Vamp.D) AND I CANT WAIT FOR SERIES 3!
True blood finished a good few weeks back. Wasn't keen on Interview with a vampire-bit lame. Now Lost Boys on the other hand....... =D

Deborah - Thanks for sharing the pictures of your presents. They are beautiful! I hope you had a wonderful birthday. And BTW you definitely don't look like you just turned 60!

Kay: I agree with your assesment of Interview with the Vampire--much preferred the book to the movie. and, yes, Lost Boys was much better! I'm a cougar, too, LOL! (although I am a few years older then my husband). Look, he pursued me not the other way around!! How could I resist a hot, tall, skinny tatooed boy with pale skin and huge green eyes who adored me??!! We've been together for 8 years as of July 4th and it was my best leap of faith ever! He might be sick of talking about my surgery and cancer in general, but he has been there for me through all of this. I would have to say this whole ordeal has brought us so much closer together--I didn't think that was even possible!

Well, actually Kay, a "cougar" is a woman in her 40's with a younger man. At 60, I am probably more like a "panther" than a "cougar."

Deborah you are too funny. I sent you a PM regarding my appointment.

Estepp and MBJ- Thank you!!! Am feeling much better now!!!
I see a trend here as I am a cougar, too, beating my DH by 9 months! Hmm, maybe someone should do some scientific research regarding links between BC and younger men? LOL! My DH was actually a groomsman in my first wedding!!! Met him New Year's Eve 1980 and married him September 1994!
musiclovermom- Good luck with your procedure tomorrow. I hope you get amazing results.
Thanks, again, everyone for all of your kindness this past week. Sometimes I feel as though you guys are my one constant in my life that I can always count on!

Kate you can ALWAYS count on us! Even people like me who don't post often here!!! HUGS!!!!
You guys just crack me up...thought I would chime in here...I am 1 year and 3 months older than my hubby...and there are 3 months where I am 2 years older and he makes sure I remember that...oh whatever. lol Our first date was Sept 1980 and we got married Nov 1982. :-)
Have an AWESOME WEEK GIRLS!!!!
Seriously thinking and praying for all of you always!!!
THE TATA SISTERHOOD ROCKS!!!
HUGS! Jazzy

Hi All, I've been offline for about a week and not managing to keep up before that either, soooo.....I hope everyone with recent exchanges or other surgeries is recovering well and loving the results. Katey I did see your post about your horrible experience in recovery, and am hoping you're able to get to the bottom of what happened. Best to you!!!
Deborah, a belated Happy Birthday to you!!!!!!!! Thanks for posting the pics of the flowers and globe. Laura told us about them but seeing your smiling face with them is much more fabulous than words. I hope you had a great one, and I agree with the other gals - you don't look anywhere near 60!!!! Thanks for all the great advice you give on here, helping so many of us. Its truly appreciated.
And Laura, thanks for arranging the beautiful gifts - you did a fabulous job!!!
I'm mostly reading/posting on the Foobville thread now because this one is too hard to keep up with. Anyone who wants to visit there too, well, come on over!
I hope everyone had a great 4th!
