    Going to Hawaii Air Force base, Was in the late 60s

    and it was so much fun and small towns then. We had to

    leave, cause Dad had a heart attack at 37.

    One of my grandads owned a small store. I rmember climbing on counter to get a cookie out of the giant cookie jar. It was Jack brand cookies.

    Kbug..that reminds me too of something we always did.

    We had a corner grocery store.  They had the candy counter and the shelves under glass were filled with baskets of penny candy. We would go there whenever we had a few extra pennies or any spare change. It was a quick walk there...and an enjoyable one home!

    Going fishing at the beach and pulling my line in while I reeled. I would back up to the dune. I always caught lots of fish. Or going pond fishing in the lil boat. Dad would say want a snack from the store no I would say. But get back in the middle of the pond I am like can we go back to store. We grilled out after a day fishing at the pond. It got dark on us and we ate the steak. mom said best steak she ever had . I didnt eat mine all so when we got home mom said oh my the steak is not done .LOL

    went water sking when I was 6 and didnt last to long,

    But I was very pruod of myself. Everyone was very proud too.

    My Grandpa made garage doors, and with the

    scraps he built me a play house and the boys

    a fort. He cat had its kitten in my playhouse alot.

    We seldom got snow where I grew up. This one year I was about 9 or 10 and had a nice snow.The lady who helped take care of my grandad said have you ever had choc snow cream. I was like no. She made it mmmm it was so good.

    I remember my cat I dressed in doll clothes and

    put him in my baby doll carriage and took a walk,

    and he would stay.

    I loved captain Kangaroo! And Sheri Lewis and Lamchop.

    I think as a child, Bewitched was one of my favorite shows...I wanted her to be my mom!

    I loved playing hopscotch...making them all over the sidewalk and driveway...and finding the best rock to be my marker!

    Playing four square after making a place to play out of chalk.

    And collecting pop bottle lids, to see how many different ones

    we could find.

    Playing outside till got dark. Going to friends house to play. Remember the first time I heard Credence Clearwater Revival. I love the music.

    Our neighbor dipped snuff . I thought looked fun. lol So mom made kid snuff. Used cocoa powder and sugar.

    Mom use to make us sugar bread(butter and sugar on bread,

    we were not rich) Sometimes we would get cinnamon too.
