I am always lurking SAS
I have been through much in my personal life over the last couple months & years too ......Just can not seem to get away from poor choices & negative people until recently ( my abusive/ cruel husband has been removed from the home) ( I am doing all things legally to protect all involved amongst many threats from Friends & family of his). I turn 50 this month, am 2 years out from BC with many scares during that time. I do hope that my strength in God continues to grow ...I wish my faith were stronger for myself ...it is so very easy to give it to others & pray for them but so hard to believe at times in my own life. Not sure that makes sense to anyone.
Anyhow I hope this helps you out SAS & Squid you have been real angels in my life during my many trials over the last 9 months & God bless all of you who have prayed for me & for each one of us who come lurking, reading, following along in your lives & who like I try & keep faith & gain strength through your & Gods word(s)..

Mnmom~ how 'bout I pray really hard for you right now? You make perfect sense. Praying that Jesus wrap you in His love so you can breath, that you feel His hug and no that you are never alone, that you see the morning sun and know there is more to this life, and that the beauty in your soul grows like a vine and protects you from all harm and negativity.

FOR VICTIMS OF ABUSE
Prayer for Healing
God of endless love, ever caring, ever strong,
always present, always just : you gave your only Son to save us by the Blood of his Cross.
Gentle Jesus, shepherd of peace, join to your own suffering the pain of all who have been hurt in body, mind and spirit by those who betrayed the trust placed in them.
Hear our cries as we agonize over the harm done to our brothers and sisters.
Breathe wisdom into our prayers, soothe restless hearts with hope, steady shaken spirits with faith: show us the way to justice and wholeness,
enlightened by truth and enfolded in your mercy.
Holy Spirit, comforter of hearts, heal your people's wounds and transform our brokenness.
Grant us courage and wisdom, humility and grace,
so that we may act with justice and find peace in you.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
Namaste to all

Paula - I'm happy to see you back!! Mourning is a long, lonely road. God bless you with your MRIs. I pray your headaches are the result of stress and nothing else! I get migraines, so my doc did a precautionary brain MRI several years ago on me.
mnmom - I'm so sorry to hear about your troubles and don't want to trivialize it. I had to give the boot to my 1st husband when my kids were young. He was verbally and psychologically abusive - alcoholic. I couldn't see raising my children in a home like that. God is with you, especially during these dark days, even if you can't "feel" His presense. It is so hard. If you want to PM me, please do.
Sheila - we need to give you a raise for your librarian work! ;-)
I'll be back for evening prayers. I left my book in the car, but I can find something else, unless Paula would like to post another prayer!

Thanks Theresa. I'd love to join you ladies but need to go pick up daughter.
Here's another prayer ...
Beloved Lord,
I pray today for my family, not only the family that shares my DNA but also those who share my faith. As you know, families are complicated, and I've told you plenty about my daily problems with this one or that one. Expectations run high. Wounds run deep. There are dysfunctions that only You can unravel, and so I ask you to bring your wisdom and power into these situations. And I also pray for those caring friends who have gathered around me as a second family. Thank you for their support, and I ask You to support them in their various needs. Let love reign in my heart, my home and theirs as well. This is my deepest prayer. Amen!

Hey Sheila!!
Thank you Paula!!
I will post too.
Evening Prayer (St. Augustine)
Watch, O Lord, with those who wake,
or watch, or weep tonight,
and give Your Angels and Saints charge over those who
sleep.
Tend Your sick ones, O Lord Christ.
Rest Your weary ones,
Bless Your dying ones,
Soothe Your suffering ones,
pity Your afflicted ones,
Shield Your joyous ones,
And all for Your love's sake. Amen.St. Francis
May the LORD bless us and keep us; may the LORD make his face to shine upon us, and be gracious to us; may the LORD lift up his countenance upon us, and give us peace.0 -
