Lord God, grant me the serentiy to accept the things I cannot change; the courage to change the things I can; and the wisdom to know the difference.  Amen

Lord Jesus, who went about doing good and healing all, we ask you to bless our friends who are sick.  Give the the strength in body, courage in spirit, and patience in pain.  Let them recover their health, so that, restored to the Christan community, they may joyfully praise your name, for you live and reign forever and ever, Amen.

Remember, most loving Virgin Mary, never was it heard that anyone, who turned to you for help, was left unaided.  Inspired with this confidence, though burdened by my sin, I run to your protection, for you are my mother.  Mother of the Word of God, do not despise my words of pleading, but be merciful and hear my prayer.  Amen.

Traci.. The mammo topic is a hot one for me too. It really upsets me actually. My tumors one was ductal one was lobular could not be felt at all. Not by me or the 2 different surgeons I went to and involved a micro met to one node. I was 41 when diagnosed. Where in the world would I be if I had to wait to either feel it or ... oh I cant even begin to think of the outcome If my first mammo wasnt at 39.... so upsetting I rather would have a false positive and go through a biopsy then not catch it at all!. I am celebrating my 43 bday today and I am grateful to God and ealry detections for that!

SAS thanks for the message yes I would like to join the Novena also!

    Namaste Sisters!

tinkertude~ my mom in 1998 had lobular bc too.  there was not a lump.  she pushed for futher testing.....no one in the medical field thought it was cancer.....after the pathology came back after the mx, all the cancerous tissue was greater than 5 cm if it had been the tumor forming kind....she was 55 at the time and still with us!

kay1963 no I'm not a detective it's just that I read Tinkertude's post up the page a bit where she said "I am celebrating my 43 bday today and I am grateful to God and ealry detections for that!"  On your way back from the Oncologist call into the Optician LOL (I'm teasing you Kay)

Keep up the prayers ladies. Take care.

    Hi All,

Sas, thank you for your PM and reminder about this Novena :)

Racy, thank you for doing this for us on your Pilgrimage, I really appreciate it :)

Tink, Happy Belated Birthday to you!

My DH and I celebrated 23rd anniversary on Tuesday, we had a nice dinner and I hit the 777 back to back and won some $$$, I'm very happy (even with a mild case of flu virus and low temp, I was feeling better on Tuesday).

    Lovemyfamilysomuch, great news!

Happy Birthday Tink and Happy Anniversary DiamondGirl.

I have an interesting story to share with you. A couple of weeks ago, my sister gave me a medallion and prayer card that were given to her for me by an Italian lady that she works with. The problem is the prayer card is in Italian so I've been a bit puzzled by it. I've been looking at it every day and thinking about it so today I did a bit of research. The medallion is of San Rocco and from what I was able to decipher from the prayer card it was blessed in Brantford, Ontario (a long way from Italy) and the prayer says something about healing. So I Googled San Rocco Brantford and found out that each year St. Pius church in Brantford has a San Rocco Festival. San Rocco is a 14th century Italian saint who is believed to protect against contagious diseases. He is also the patron saint of the town in Italy where many of the parishioners at St Pius originate from so they hold this festival each year in his honour! I'll have to find someone who speaks Italian who can translate the prayer for me.

I have been so touched by the prayers and good gestures I have received from total strangers since my diagnosis. A lady who works at my Mum's bank who remembers me from when I used to go in there as a teenager brought me back a beautiful set of rosary beads from Fatima in Portugal and prayed for me while she was there.

I pray that one day I will be in a position to do something so kind for someone who is in my shoes!

Have a great evening everyone. God bless you all!

Almighty God, you know the difficulties I've been facing lately, the deep sorrows and bitter disappointments I've gone through.  It encourages me to know that you have been standing right with me through all of it.  When I trust you, I feel my fear turning to faith.  I feel your strength coursing through me when I need it most.  When I begin to lose hope, you are there with a bright thought to keep my spirits up.  When I feel like giving up, you empower me to keep going.  You are my rock, my fortress, my champion, my savior.  I thank you for all you have done for me.  (From: The Right Prayers for Every Need).

    ~ Amen ~

sas-schatzy, honey this is msphil, were you referring to me or someone else for I don,t understand what you said on this post, I have been here since 2007 and am only one of a few long term survivors to come back and help and support, so  maybe you are referring to someone else, so God Bless You and ALL of US,  (idc, stage 2, L mast which my body rejected) and was removed, first misdiagnosed several times, chemo and rads, 3 nodes involved, and on tamoxifen for 5 yrs, 17 yrd cancer free (Praise GOD) and all while I was planning my wedding. I have been here for awhile now to help others. Yes I wrote a book about my experience, encouraged by my husband, and yes I wrote that because I do indeed send donattions to American Cancer Society and yes I do write in my church Bulletin and yes I do crochet hats Every Year for cancer patients losing hair.  You sound bitter but I will still pray for you because that is not good for Healing. :et me tell you all what happened to me Tuesday passed I had to go get gym uniforms for my 2 school age boys and before I left I was led to bring along a Leaflet I also write each year to take to Oncology suites to Encourage those going through, well as I got to the store I gave it to the ales lady as she rang up my order, and I saw her eyes widen and she was like, my coworker here her sister is going throu breast cancer treatment and she really could use this to help her thru and I also gave her my personal number to call day or nite, God puts people where they need to be, I was sent to help another. So sweetie, stop being so BITTER andLove On each other.  msphil
