LMFSM-----That is exactly it -----I had transferred Sagina's prayer to the intentions thread. The header says I did it, but if I do a transfer to the prayer thread or the intentions thread , I always incorporate the writer, If you just do a page review you can see that this is so. SOME, times on this page people write a prayer. I support that entirely, but then it needs to go to the archives. Perhaps not the entire storey.  For example. "Prayer in memory of ________"Then this also could go to the Intentions page ---important b/c of novena'a and take to a shrine, they are included.

I would ask that someone second me as a back up for transference to each site., But we have to leave a note that it was transferred otherwise, we end up with two

I will be and making decisions in the next few weeks.

Unknown busy these next few weeks, and had been distracted the last several weeks,

In what I would call a clean up and put right.Go back may be 3-4 weeks and see if thing' s ought to be in the Intention sections, or prayer section. Whomever excepts this responsibility, Bless them as rhis can mean a significant difference WE prayer immediately and later.ALL ORIGINAL PRAYERS ARE LEFT IN PLACE, THEY ARE JUST COPIED AND PASTED TO THE PRAYER THREAD. IF IT IS AN OBVIOUS INTENTION TRY TO RECORD ONLY THE INTENTION AND NOT THE STORY,YOU CAN REFER TO THE PAGE NUMBER FOR THE STORY, GODS ALREADY GOT  the story. It goes back to who we continue to prayer for

AT first I saw this as an all inclusive -----page 1 on--initially, not thought out well ,  We need to look at what is active. i.e. the Racy novena, I looked at was active and asked all to bring forwad anything from before page 5, but for the individual running the pages that can be allot of ink and paper even for a couple three pages

WEshould not make our employers the site of the running unless they agree. I hate to say this , but it would be stealing from our employer.

Again---Intentions should be short, to the point, If anyone has read my intention while very long incorporates allot, and people we are still praying for.

Love to all, didn't fall off the end of the world. All the prayers for insomnian are mostly working. Not last night, but truly working. A nights sleep is nirvanha. If it continues, I will let you know whats working. If you down't see me here that's part of the plan.Didn't work last night , but it has been working L&H&P's Namaste sheila

Dear Ardy............. we know how you feel sweetheart! I will never forget when I have to do my first brain MRI.... I said......." WHY? WHAT THE HECK FOR?" I will blown away. My scans are clear and have been for over three years...yours will be too!

I did not go to Mass the entire time I was on Chemo... as my onco told me that church and my hair salons were all just cesspools of germs.... so. my family went to mass...... and I sat home... watching EWTN's Mass........ crying. It was just me and our Father. I loved it this way. This kept my praying FOCUSED on the REAL deal.... not the fact that someone was seeing me cry... and then my mind would wander to " omgosh... I am embarrassed... my son... OMY!"

    I totally get you!

If you wanna chat.... PM me. I am a booger to reach at  times... and I am known for NOT listening to my viovemails.... but I  do check my PM's here..... Hang in the dear! Please..... take Franks advise............ look at the above Saint.... he is our patron. Start a novena just for you.... he will pray for you........ and HE IS ALREADY with God.... :)...... GREAT ODDS!!  Cool

    Bless you !

Andy, welcome!  We will pray for you and with you here and it will be okay.  You've come to a good place.  You will get through this and the Lord and prayers will help with that.

Just got back from a special Mass for all the parishioners who did during the past year.  One of them was my BIL.  It was a very nice mass.  Also remembered all of you and all your intentions.  Love and hugs.  Namaste, Kay

    Hello my sisters

I have a request for a prayer please. Number 1 princess works in the head office of her company outside London (England). Her job involves a lot of flying around Europe nearly every week. You know how it is you turn up at the airport well before take-off to check in, go through security, get you bags searched and all the rest of the hassle. Well she turns up 10 mins before take-off and goes in the company jet ! ! On Christmas eve she will fly back into London at 14 00hrs (on the company jet) having been away for a few days, on company business, then flys out on a scheduled airline at 16 50hrs (ticket bought yesterday ) to come home. So I need prayers that there won't be any air travel hic-cups on that day or this dad and his princess will be very sad. She dropped very strong hints about the company jet taking her home but her boss didn't offer ! !

So Sheila for the intentions page - That Frank's two princesses are home in time for Christmas.

Michelleo13 we won't hold it against you that you were born in England - after all some one has to be born there ! !  LOL. As for your Dad meeting your Mum on St Patrick's Day well meeting her on that day means that was a match made in Heaven ! ! But then sure anyone meeting an Irishman or Irish woman on any day is like meeting some one from Heaven LOL. How did the chemo go?  BTW from your pic I'm guessing that you have red hair is that so? Only a very very small %age of the world's population has red hair but the overwhelming majority of those with red hair are either Irish or Scottish.

    take care all

Frank, I'll keep your special intention in my prayers. Too bad your daughter's boss didn't take her up on the hints! You're right about my Mum and Dad...meeting her was the best thing that ever happened to him (God rest his soul). She's 78 and is a bundle of energy. We call her "St. Frances of Cambridge" because she's always doing good deeds and looking after the old folks at church and in the building where she lives. I'm actually wearing my wig in the picture but my hair was naturally a reddish-brown colour until it started turning grey. My parents both had black hair but there are a lot of redheads in my Mum's family so I think that's where the reddish-brown came from.

Thank you all for all the encouragement.  The preliminary results are in and it doesn't seem like there is Cancer anywhere else.  But the PET scan did show something on my spine!  They don' think it's part of the Breast Cancer, but now I need to have a Bone Scan.  Lovely!  I have had lower back pain for a few months (like Sciatica), so perhaps it is related?

I will go to Church this weekend.  Actually I am not too embarrassed to cry.  I just don't want to cry in front of my kids.  I don't want to scare them!

Great news! Here is hoping the spine thing is just a shadow. I am so happy the initial news was no additional cancer. Best of luck on your bone scan. Prayers coming your way.

Ardychan------don't worry so--these scans identify so much and then they turn out not to be a worry. I had three areas last year that __WERE TO BE WATCHED__ this year nothing of the three. Showed I had  4-or 5 bulging disks no pain-----but bulging. Go figuire.

My Mom never enterd a hospital until 1996 from the time I was born in 1950, by the time they got done with her she came out with so many diagnoses that you couldn't believe. The one they wanted to really get at was an abdominal aortic aneurysym. She said "NO". She was 81. Lived till 89y/o. Fully, functional and lucid. Died abruptly.

Did I worry about those three areas identified by PET, You bet I did, to my detriment. Worried for a whole year.  I now think of my MOM. It's important to have a diagnosis that can be treated like our BC and my brain tumor, but when it causes us to loose peace of mind, then we have to take control of it. I know I have lost too many days in worrying. I will make it my goal to worry less. Right a Catholic raised in the times of the 50's till now , that will worry less. But this whole damnable BC and Cancer thing has taken over our life. SAY NO. When you have to deal with it-deal.         When not ------work towards a life, work towards love, and laughing. Get rid of the stressors in your life.          I will, definitely got a couple in mind.-------------Hope your scans all come back favorably, but worry is as bad as the cancer, it robs us of any joy, I just came to this this conclusion today after seeing the neurologist.  Namaste sheila

Frank and Michello--------My Moms side was such an Irish mix---------8 kids-------several black hairs, red, platinum. Eye color--- every color , but violet. So , wish we had all gotten MOM's genes.  None of us would be going through any thing that we are going through now.

Ardychan, that's great news. I had been having a bit of lower back pain as well and the bone scan showed it to be arthritis. Best of luck. Praying for a good result!

Sheila, my Mum's family is quite the mix too, but there are 15 of them so you're bound to get it all with so many! I just hope I have my Mum's energy when I'm 78. She's a star!

Hi everyone.  Been going through some weird stuff, off the boards for about the week. Possibly have a sinus infection flaring up nerves and lots of pain....going to doctor today...

SAS - I went for US but got a mammo and US they were clear expect for a nodule that has been there and hasn't grown at all.  But the mammo made me swell up even more, the surgeon called and wanted to see me, but scheduled for nov 9th....I really needed him to see the swelling....anyway my underarm is very tight -the muscles - and the swelling seems to get extreme with my new chemopause crazy menstruation! Sorry Frank!

I'm an enjoying listening to Christy Nockels - Healing is in your hands - you tube it for a bit a calm.

    Love to you all.

Thank you for the prayer, Gina . Beautiful. Addy and sas, prayers for your good health. Frank, prayers for easy travels for your girls. Michelle and frank, my grandpa came from swords, Ireland and my grandma from county Kerry. They met here in the U.S. No redheads though. Both dark hair. All my dads cousins still in Ireland. Hope to get there some day. My grandpa attended trinity college and studied telegraphy. A dead science I'm afraid.

I always ask for prayers for my mom for her stage iv bc. Please continue to remember her friends. This evening the readings at mass were about Gods wisdom. If it is His will, may He impart wisdom upon our doctors to treat all here effectively. I did a shameful thing yesterday. Started to bargain with God. You know, if You let my mom live til she's 80, I'll..... So human, but so wrong. So I guess prayers for my soul tonight also.

May God envelope all here with His unending love.

God's peace and healing to all of us. I've been afflicted with Trigeminal Neuralgia and have started a new med. Could this be a side effect worse than cancer? Probably not, but close....

Jesus I pray for your healing hand to touch my face. The nails we pierced you with held the weight of all the world and I will walk Your path no matter my little ailments, I will not fall from Your side. Help me remember Lord, that I can handle all that is done unto me as long as I in turn give everything up to You. I ask You to please take this pain Lord as I may once again sing your praises with the choirs of all Your angels, in my truest desperation I pray.

sagina No need to apologise. It is good of you all to allow me to join in on the thread, there is no equivalent support group that I know of at home here. I also post on another thread on this website re Herceptin SEs b/c I don't know anyone else in N Ireland receiving Herceptin (that's not to say that there aren't any) and hence have no one else to chat with about it.

LMFS " that guy who hangs around" sounds like I'm lottering with malice of forethought lol Smile

mkkjd50 It's a long long time since I have been in Kerry but as a matter of interest Kerry is the most successful team in the All Ireland F/ball Championship having won it 36 times with Dublin 2nd with 23 wins (Swords is in County Dublin.) I regularly go for weekends to a place called Malahide and when you take the exit off the motorway for it you go through Swords. As for bargaining with God how often have all of us said "God if you grant me such-and-such I'l do .... or I'll donate to ... or I promise never to ... "  It's called being human and God loves humans.

SAS your mum's side had every colour of eyes! Sure that's nothing - Irish grass has 40 shades of green lol.

I am away from tomorrow for a week to Tenerife which is an island off the North West coast of Africa. Treating ourselves to a break in a 5* hotel. Unfortunately it's a 4 and half hour flight. So ladies may I ask for prayers for a safe journey there and back - not forgetting to ask for pleasant weather.

    Take care all.

    Ladies and Gentleman

I need a few prayers (very off topic). My youngest son is making his confirmation on Saturday. We have been practicing the questions the Bishop may ask him and the more we practice the more nervous he gets. Can you send some prayers that he will receive God's grace and relaxes a little.

    Thanks

Liz-------Tell son that God loves him, and if he should forget an answer-------tell him to be honest and say something to the effect "I'm here of my own free will, if I forget something God understands and I hope you do to, Doesn't mean I haven't studied". I hate the pressure this type of thing  puts on the young ones. Being in front of the Bishop is an unusual experience, tell your son not to let it interfere with what he is committing to God. The Bishop" Puts his pants on one leg at a time just like we do" a paraphrase from Sentor Sam Erwin about Nixon during Watergate

Sagina, I'm working on the brain tumor stuff and did see the "Brain Institute" in California has a treatment for trigeminalneuralgia while I was reading about the surgeries available for me. OR you could do it my way LOL, I fell on my head the Lump was right next to the trigeminal nerve. After healing the Trigeminal nerve symptoms were gone. The impact was whiskers away from nerve. What I think happened was the inflammatory response that brought the white blood cells for cleanup ----cleaned up the nerve at the same time. Scientifically, it's a really an interesting question, but way too radical. The nerve was a rope before the injury with oodles of symptoms ------post fall completely healed and no symptoms and couldn't feel the rope  that the nerve had become over several years. ANY doc I brought up too after that would just look at me blankly----that's an indicator they haven't got a clue what you are talking about. I figured the research ought to be looking at purifying a persons own white blood cells and inject in area. It would take years to prove by research starting on mice and monkeys. You could ask if anything like this has been tried b/c this happened about 15 years ago. So, may be it's happened and I don't know it.

Hope you find something that works Gina--------it can be very painful, and irritating, my worst symptom was the severe eye twitching

There is a LE breast thread. It may have some helpful stuff. I have breast LE and swelling occurs with any activity that I have to use my arms to much. It is a great excuse for me not to do housework etc., but does interfere with exercise--bummer.Found if I where a very supportive bra it helps. Fight having a mammo again------go for the MRI. Try and get A LE therapist that can show you the maneuvers for chest wall, clavicle, breast massage. There are links on Breast LE site to you tube that shows whats available

To all----confirmed by neurologist and neurosurgeon that surgery is indicated -----prayers for getting insurance to cooperate in finding doc and facility.

Frank ---Colors are wonderful--------millions. Grass 40 shades of green------God certainly has endowed us with great beauty------Enjoy trip--------your sense of humor is so uplifting.

mkk-----The hardest is acceptance isn't it. We never want to let them go, but with our believing, we know we will see them again. Suggest developing a series of questions about her life and grandparents and family history and then interview her on tape. You then have her voice what a comfort. AND you may find out somethings about her and family ,  you never knew.

    Namaste all sheila

Thanks. I guess mom forgets also that he is just a little kid still. He said to me last night maybe I should just not make my confirmation. At which point I thought this whole thing is crazy. Agree with your assessment he just needs to understand the true gift that he is receiving from the Holy Spirit even if he does not remember each gift or fruit by name. Thanks for the words of wisdom. Practice tonight.

Liz, my DD made her confirmation 2 years ago.  She was worried too.  When the bishop was talking to the kids, one of the first things he said was that he knew they had all studied and some of them might be nervous and forget the answers.  He said not to worry, he is only going to call on you for an answer if you raise your hand.  If you don't remember the answer, don't raise your hand. LOL

Maybe that story would help your son?  Congratulations to him and you.  It is a milestone and a blessing.

    Sheila~well said, thank you.

Liz~tell him to try - "because Jesus loves me" - bet it fits as an answer to most -

Why are you here, why do you want to do this, why pray, really any "why" question.  For the "how" questions try "with Jesus' help".  How will you follow God, how will you love more, how will you pray more...just in case the nerves get him.  But I bet he'd say that anyway, funny how we find the right words at the right time. Congrats to him, please send him my love, tell him he has a whole network praying for him during confirmation!

On the pain subject can I share with you all that I was down and out yesterday and decided to flip the Bible open, my pink Bible, and see what message I could get - Well here's what I wrote in my journal yesterday.....

The pain never subsided today.  I am only human, and in tears I find myself telling myself, it's just not that bad, there is so much more that could be wrong.  I am exhausted, I am tired, pain is so draining on my body and mind. I turned to my pink Bible tonight hoping for answers, knowing they are in there.  I decided to ask for a "sign", you know that silly thing we do....so I grabbed my pink Bible and flipped it open out of pain, maybe anger....It opens to Jeremiah 15:18 - and I am not kidding you here....it really did. Top of the page, unmistakably  - "Why is my pain perpetual and my wound incurable, which refuses to be healed?"

And my answer lay just below in Jeremiah 15:20 "For I am with you to save you and deliver you, says the Lord."

Deliver me Lord from this evil, show me the way of Your truth and salvation. Lead me to healing waters, Your daughter, so broken, so tattered by pain. Mold me into Your obedient servant to do Your will, You are the potter Lord, me merely clay.

My pain is lessened today....thank you Jesus even it's just for today.

Beautfiul Gina, as always. Liz,  my experience with all my kids was that the bishop asks the questions in such a way to help them know the answer.  Good luck!
