Please Pray for my boys, we learned today that my bc has returned with bone mets. Extensive, no remission in site. They need your prayers more than I do... the depth of their pain is worse than the cancer, it almost killed me to tell them. I love them so much.... cant stop the pain.
Love to all.
Carol in Salt Lake City.

Camul,
Bless you, for what you are going through, and for being the wonderful mother that you are. You are in my prayers, and in God's hands. I pray for healing and for you to be shown beautiful Peace today, as a sign of God's presence.
Would you all like to join here at 10:00 Eastern time? If you cannot be here then just join in prayer wherever you are. I am wondering too if we want to post the names for who we are praying for collectively. I don't want to miss anyone!

Good morning sistas,
First off - Thank you Traci for this group prayer. Is there a particular prayer we should say? Perhaps St. Peregrine? or Prayer for Healing?
Prayer for Healing
Lord Jesus, You are my physician who comes from heaven to heal me. Help me to resolve to put all my trust in You alone and to patiently undergo my treatment. Lord, You can uproot and heal my sickness and ease my fears. I ask You please for my healing. Amen!
Traci ~ thank you for starting the Group prayer.
Camul - Will be praying for you {{{hugs}}} be strong.
All other ladies, have a wonderful weekend.

I have been absent from the thread for a while, but I'm so glad to see it is still going. You ladies are a real inspiration and encouragement to me.....The last few months I have sadly neglected my favorite devotions...The Rosary, the LOTH, and reading the daily radings from The Roman Daily Missal. I can feel the that I'm not in tune with my faith....
ONe thing I am doing to help, is to return to teaching in the RCIA...I did it for seven or eight years, then took a break....Now I am ready to get back into it, and I believe being with the participants will be a real boost to my own faith....As it has been in the past.

To camul. Oh Carol, stay strong. I have said a very special prayer for your boys and you. Although I'm early in treatment, my mind wanders to an uncertain future. The only thing that has given me any solace regarding my children is knowing that many people who are victims of sudden disasters didn't have the chance to make each day count with their loved loved ones. I had a dear friend who passed away six years ago. She was a journalist by trade and her adult children cherish a series of taped messages she left them about all kinds of things - remembrances as a child, family history, and personal messages. Many of the stories were funny and uplifting. So I decided to do the same thing -- long before breast cancer was even in the picture. There is so much to say to them and never enough time in busy lives even when we are in the best of health! And, never stop believing in miracles! They DO happen. God bless.

Carol - my prayers to you and your boys. What a heartache. Lots of cancer in my family, so I understand, now, both ends of the ordeal.
Traci - 10:00 is good... good prayers before I go to bed. :-)
Diamondgirl - that's a lovely healing prayer.
There is a nice closing prayer after the healing, petition prayer(s) I'd like to share:
May the Lord bless and keep us. May He make His face to shine upon us and be gracious to us. May the Lord look kindly upon us, and grant us a lasting peace. Amen

Thanks Theresa!
I have an update for you all. I went to my BS's office early this morning, another surgeon looked at my infection. I was given antibiotic and must delay my rads until it clears. My rads was supposed to start next Thursday but if this antibiotic doesn't clear the infection then they may have to "usa a lancelet to drain it". Sounds horrible already!
My fear is if it is new cancer? I've never had a pimple erupting from a oil gland/pore on the aerola. I just hope and pray that the antibiotic works. This may also be the cause of my chronic low grade fever.
Have a wonderful and rested weekend.

will join you all tonight ladies and am very excited this will help us all.
Camul how old are your boys, I will be praying for them diligently this evening and for you to get the right treatment quickly that gives you a long unencumbered remission.
Traci do you have any more follow ups with your radiologist or are they focusing on thyroid now?
Let us add to our list Apple for continued NED, and for Laura diminished LE, I know they won't ask so I will. Lets make sure we add a prayer of Thanksgiving for all of us that are being watched over so closely.

Paula,
So glad you are on antibiotics! I think you will feel better, sooner than you think. We will think positively for your complete healing! I like the St. Peregrine followed by your Prayer for healing and ending with Theresa's closing prayer? What do you all think? It looks like the St. Peregrine has a specific place for us to give names. I know I started a prayer list, does anyone have any other names to add?
I will check in with you all close to ten, and give the signal I am present. We can get a feel for how often, and how we can incorporate as many people as want to join.
Hi Sandy!

By 10 PM, I am usually at least an hour past done with the computer for the night, so I probably won't be "online". I don't need the computer to pray however, so I will join in the prayers as part of my nightime ritual.

Traci -
That sounds perfect. It's Friday so I should be able to join you guys online. Other nights I'll have to be like PatMom and add you all to my nighttime prayers at 10.

Sounds lovely PatMom, sometimes it would be a good thing if my computer powered down by itself by 1100 P.

Hi there,
Will it be 10pm EST? I will try to be on this board but it may be dinner time.
Anyway, I've compiled all 3 prayers per Traci (see below), if anyone would like to get a pdf file please PM me with your email address and I will email it to you
Prayer to Saint PeregrineO great St. Peregrine, you have been called "The Mighty," "The Wonder-Worker," because ofthe numerous miracles which you have obtained from God for those who have had recourse to you. For so many years you bore in your own flesh this cancerous disease that destroys the very fiber of our being, and who had recourse to the source of all grace when the power of man could do no more. You were favored with the vision of Jesus coming down from His Cross to heal your affliction. Ask of God and Our Lady, the cure of the sick whom we entrust to you.
(Pause here and silently recall the names of the sick for whom you are praying)
Aided in this way by your powerful intercession, we shall sing to God, now and for all eternity, a song of gratitude for His great goodness and mercy. Amen
