Dear Lord,
We bring our concerns for Carol and her family to you Lord. She is in our minds and hearts, as we gather here on behalf of many Sisters, and ask specifically for Carol as she needs immediate attention. I ask for all of her Angels to gather strength, to be Warriors against this disease, to have the miracle that only you can provide. We will continue to gather in her name, God. Please hear our call for help.
In Jesus Name.
Amen

Dear sisters in Christ. I have not been on this tread since being released from the hospital on 9-10-10. I am doing ok and thank you for your prayers and Esteep, Dianmond Girl, Squidwitch and others for your kind words and encouragement. I am storming the heavens for you all. Jane and Janet you will be espcecially remembered on your surgery days. My DH is such a support and blessing. Carol, God be with you and your family. All things are possible with the Lord! I sing in the church guitar group and often repeat these words from a song we once sang at a parish mission. Be with us Lord when we are in trouble, be with us Lord we pray! My love and appreciation for you all, Coleen

Coleen and Jan,
So nice to see your lovely faces this morning Coleen, do you feel like you are healing now? Wonderful to know you have a DH taking care of you. I had a DF (dear friend) take me and my dog in for two weeks after my surgery. Pretty special stuff. Be good to yourself in this healing process, slow and steady wins the race.
Jan, you have been in my thoughts daily and we will all be with you in spirit tomorrow. Promise. I know you will be anxious, but all you have to do is give it over, and let your Doctors and Nurses care for you. I pray for God to guide their hands and monitor each moment of your care. They will obtain wisdom from all of the experience of souls who practiced medicine on earth, as well as God of creation. You will be supported on all fronts. Make sure you ask for what you need, and expect timely responses from your Nurses. It is o.k. to hit the call bell if you feel they may have forgotten. True, all Nurses and techs get busy and sidetracked. I would tell my patients to go ahead and call me if ten minutes passed. Don't let any pain escalate. You most likely will have a PCA (patient controlled analgesia) where there will be a button you hit to deliver doses of usually morphine. There is a lock out, meaning you cannot deliver it any faster than say once every 10 minutes. Ask them for anti-nausea meds if you need, and make sure they stay with you to use the bathroom at first before you get your "sea legs" back. Make sure they teach you proper care of your drains, and that they wash their hands, change gloves, and keep all of your dressings and drains clean and secured. I know this sounds imposing, but you really will make it through to the other side.
We will pray for no node involvement and low oncotype.
are you an early morning case Jan? I like to time my prayers.

Thank you everyone for your prayers. Know I am praying every day for you too - and especially Jan for tomorrow.
I'm trying to catch up on yard/garden work before surgery, so I'm doing things now that I generally don't until mid-October since I probably shouldn't be out digging in the garden that soon. I'm going to buy a big bag of spring bulbs and create a new little bed in honor of all my new sistas! It's a reminder of renewal & hope for tomorrow. God bless.

Jan and Janet special prayers that all the angels and saints are looking over you for your surgeries.
Jan will put you at top of prayer list for tomorrow and send you many prayers through out day.
I continue my novena for Apple, Laura, Jeannine, Traci, Camul for expeditious healing and health. Freedom from anxiety and the kind of peace that transcends all explanation.
Colleen welcome back and prayers as well for you for continued healing.
Mark 11:24
"Therefor I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them."Bless the Lored - I believe I am healed, I believe I have received my healing. I do not want anything/anyone to try to change what I believe. AMEN!
Remember ladies we can be our own worst enemies with doubt when we say the above verse remember to believe yourself that you have received your healing. This is one I struggle with so each morning I am getting up and saying the following to myself.
"I give myself permission to be happy, healthy, and centered in the present moment"!
Basically we are just saying it is ok to be healthy and happy during all of this and in this moment we are OK!
For those of you going through treatment and post surgery remember to drink soooo much water drink until you can't take anymore this will help your flushing of toxins.
Peace and Blessings to all of you today!

Jan,
You sound good, yes, we will be right there with you, K? I will pray for you tonight as well....11:00 PM Eastern Standard Time if anyone else want to join in.
JanetinVirginia,
I love the planting of the bulbs...what a beautiful gesture with God's earth, the promise of flowers in the spring, and a tribute to the Sisters. Really great. I know your surgery is at the end of September, I don't want you to think I forgot.
mmm5,
Thank you for your daily novena. I'm not where I would like to be with health, some times during the day can get rough. I start back with the doctors on tuesday...and it is a struggle isn't it? praying for self is much harder than praying for others. I understand the being my own worst enemy, and I think practice will make this better. That's why I like both prayers you posted Mark 11:24 and giving oneself permission to by happy and centered in the moment. I am going to start writing these down in a prayer book for my nightstand.
Travelgal, welcome, glad you found this thread too!
lovemyfamily,
is that your sweet dog? I took my sweetie to the vet today for tummy troubles. She has horrific allergies, and Iams recalled one of her safe foods. I was trying to transition to another food that fit her allergy profile, but back on Flagyl she goes. Being a Sunday, we went to the animal hospital/vet and there were several beautiful Goldens there. One little girl draped herself all over her Golden, then cried her eyes out when they took him to the back. I think he was going to be fine. oh our babies

squid, that is our golden girl Abbey, she gave us a scare last week and wouldn't move or eat or thump her tail. We were frantic, but vet said she pulled a muscle and is getting older. She is a sweet girl. Love and light to all my sisters. xo

i am sharing an email from my little sister. She was very close to our mother who passed away in July. She received my Mom's miraculous medal.. the one she wore everyday of her life since age 16.
Hi all:
I was dreading today. George got baptized and it was my first real milestone since mom's passing. I wanted to get it over with as fast as possible. I was struggling, but focused, on getting through it tear free.
It is a beautiful day here in Durham. I dressed Georgie in the same gown that all of us were baptized in. We went to church and it was a beautiful mass. The baptism went well. I only teared up once. It was when they sang " St. Mary...pray for us. All you holy men and women, pray for us". I remember they sang that at dad's funeral and at mom's funeral. But I took a deep breath and told myself that this was a happy occasion and mom would tell me to not cry.
Georgie did great. All the kids did great. (well.. edie screamed "WATER" about 15 times during the time that georgie was being annointed but relatively speaking, it was all good.) She wanted to take a quick dip.
We took our pictures and left the church since we were having bagels and coffee for a few friends. I was walking out of church---one of the last people to leave---with Jamie, Joe's friend who is the Godfather. He stopped and picked something up off the sidewalk and said, "look, someone lost their medallion--here you can have it". And he handed me a small miraculous medal. I could not believe it. It is small, cheap and JUST like moms. I have been waiting and praying for a sign that mom is with me. I was so happy. Not a tear! It made me so happy. I still can't believe it.0 -
Apple:
It doesn't get any better than that does it! That is so beautiful.
I'm sure your Mom is watching over you and yes, she was there at the baptism.
God Bless

Apple, that was beautiful indeed and it made me cry! My mom is 88 yrs old and living in a nursing home in Toronto suffering from kidney problem and alzheimers. I am the youngest and very very close to my mom and due to her health condition I was advised not to tell her about my BC. I am so touched by your story and I can share with you all that the night of my biopsy, my late father appeared in my dream. He was just there (in the dream) didn't say anything. The significance is that each time that he appeared in my dream, it was to tell me he's there for me and I knew in my gut my biopsy result would not be favorable. How I wished that my mom could hold me and tell me that it will all be OK! I missed my mom a lot.
I really believed that your mom is giving you guys a sign, she's watching over you

Yes, your mom is with you! xo

Oh, your story made me so happy Apple! Your little sister must feel so wonderful about today, clever mom you all have
Paula (and all) yes, I wish I had my mom to hold me throughout all of this. I talked to her tonight when I swam, I miss her so. I'm glad you Dad has been coming to you in your dreams, but from now on it's no more tough news, just support
Apple, I have been a bit numb lately, unable to cry...a little distant from myself and my emotions. Your sister's story woke me up, and I am grateful.
Much love to ALL,
traci

Welcome Travelgal!!!!
Squid.... WHERE did you come up with that sreenname?????????????????????/ hehe

Estepp,
I stole a bit of the name from Sponge Bob Square Pants..there is a character named Squidward. I always fall asleep to the TV, and my Golden Girls would become cartoons in the morning. My dreams would become intertwined with the TV shows...and it just came to me one day when I was choosing a screename on another site.
Squidwitch it is, just because it tickled me so
