    What a beautiful picture, Ruth!

Walked/ran this morning. The dew point was higher than the temperature. I was a sweaty mess afterwards.

Bought fresh flowers at the Farmers Market. We are making the floral arrangements and bouquets for dd's wedding so I've been practicing. She wants the flowers in copper pieces (buckets, pitchers, pots, etc). We had some of my mother's and have been collecting others. Here are my experiments today.

Also, you never know what you can find in seashells.

Love the flowers and the seashells, Wonderland.

I went to Barre Sculpt and Zumba today. Bruno and I are babysitting DS & fiance's 3 dogs tonight as they had an engagement.

I bet Bruno is a fabulous babysitter! Always ready to play.

Met a friend for a walk and talk session this morning. I procrastinated making my tomato sauce the other day and finally did this afternoon. It smells so good. Makes me want to make a big pan of lasagna except it's TOO HOT outside to want to eat lasagna!

Walked/ran this morning. Ran errands this afternoon then went down the internet rabbit hole reading about weddings. I decided to make spaghetti with the sauce I made yesterday. Yum! Froze the rest of the sauce I didn't use.

Need to mow tomorrow. Looks like it might be a tad bit cooler.

    Sweet Bruno!

Mowed 70 minutes. Dh and I take turns mowing to give each other a rest. 2nd mower has not been taken to the repair shop and I have no clue why dh doesn't take it! Loopy

The good news is that I did the 25 miles of today's very toasty cycling route. 95 degrees when I finished. Fortunately, I have no shame about ducking under lawn sprinklers. Saved my bacon.

Tonight's swim was a lot more pleasant. Stayed in for 20 minutes. Calling it a good exercise day. Made a seafood pasta and salad for dinner.

8 days until I head out for Scotland! Among other things, the weather promises to be blissfully cool. I get why Queen Elizabeth does her summer holidays at Balmoral.

Things should be considerably cooler when i return. Looking at a September ride, some of which should cover the same route as I did today. But a very different challenge with temps 20 degrees cooler.

    Happy almost August! - Claire

Ruthbru — way to brave the weather! I went for a 1.5 mile walk in the drizzling rain last night — it felt great! The walk was my cooldown after a 15-min dance cardio workout and 30-min body weight HIIT class (both on Madfit YouTube channel). Keep on movin’, ladies!

Had the most glorious swim yesterday evening. First time I have seen this area deserted and very few boats on the river. That meant that I could explore the shore which I did for about 20 minutes swimming up and down the river about 200' from shore. The light was most extraordinary. Picture below. - Claire

Very pretty, Claire. Here's a picture from our Dog Walk this morning. I have an event at 4:30 this afternoon. If I'm home in time I will catch yoga at 6:30.

Claire: Such a beautiful picture! Nice capture of the setting sun.

Ruth: I like how Bruno is looking back to make sure you're following him.

Something strange happened on this thread. I contacted the Mods and it's been taken care of. Yesterday there was a post from a new person here. Username was mamarika. The post was a copy of mine that I made a couple of days earlier. Mamarika had just joined yesterday and had a total of 6 posts. I looked at the others and on at least one other thread the same thing of copying someone else's post had happened. That's when I reported the post on this thread and sent the Mods a pm. They got rid of mamarika thank goodness. It creeped me out to see that it had happened, especially since it was my post that was copied.

Walked and kinda ran this evening. It was really hot and I was cautious.

Oh wow wonderland, that is creepy for you.

I had noticed that entry and it had a rhyme to it that caught my interest (I now think it is the teacher in me seeing someone's copied words!) ... but I didn't go digging into it. NOW, I'll really be on the lookout for all those lasagna eaters out there!!

I'm still in PT for my knee, but have been doing 2PT sessions/week and have added restorative and gentle yoga to the mix. That is the plan for August.

Today is a liquid diet prep day for my colonoscopy tomorrowSickTired...so just a bit of waking and a lot of reading. It seems like you should at least get the benefit of a 5lb weight loss from this event, but afraid not.

    Happy Wednesday, TT

Glad you are rehabing, TT. Good luck with the prep. Even if I do lose 5 pounds during it, I am so starving when I come to that I gain it back immediately!

Hope everyone is having a good weekend. My schedule the last few days hasn't matched with the exercise classes I like to take. Yesterday I walked & did a yoga DVD. Today I will walk & do some sort of toning DVD.

Love your pictures, Claire. Looks so refreshing. And the moose - Yikes! I know you're ready to be in Scotland!

I met a friend yesterday to walk. We only walked a mile and then sat in a gazebo and talk. Also this week I have been helping to empty my dh's aunt's mobile home. The ac doesn't work well, in fact only warm air blows out. So within minutes I'm a sweaty mess. Went 3 times this week - it's exhausting mentally bc I'm packing up someone's life and it physically exhausting bc it's so freaking hot!

Hope to get more exercise next week.

Exercise today has been going through papers, drawers, some cabinets and clearing out the old. Emptying dh's aunt's house has motivated me to address areas in my house. I'm pretty good at organizing and getting rid of stuff and like to do it when in the mood. There's still things to go through and there will always be things to go through. Auntie had a clean, neat house but she had lots of things that needed to be discarded years ago. That's the stuff I'm trying to not let accumulate. It's always a work in progress!

Wondering if any of you have friends or family getting Covid. Yesterday I heard about 7 people I know who have it. Today I heard about 2 more. I'm going back to masking up again.

I know SO many people who have Covid that it is very disturbing.....and I was at an indoor wedding reception just the other day. Yikes! My only hope is that being doubled boosted will keep me from getting very sick if I do come down with it.

Instead of presents, a good friend & I try to give each other an 'experience' for her birthday. For mine she took me to a wine tasting event. Today, for hers, we went on a pasture tour of a buffalo herd (the National Buffalo Museum is in our town). Very interesting & informative.

Off tomorrow! Packed other than for jewelry which I shall do shortly. No swim tonight as just got my hair the way I want it, at least for the first part of the trip.

That buffalo calf is adorable. But I see lots of attentive mothers so no urge to get close. Really hoping that all my train connections work out, especially on the way to Scotland.

AC in my car died again so it's to the shop when I return.

I am so excited. More when I return from my adventures. - Claire

Claire: I know you will have an awesome time! Can't wait to hear about it. Safe travels!

Ruth: Such a fun unique gift! Those buffalo babies are precious. Big Daddy Buffalo looks like a stud. Huge! I know ya'll had a blast.

No exercise again today. It's just too draining. The dew point has been in the 70s for days and days. Just sucks up your energy. Also, went back to Auntie's mobile home to wait on the ac repairman who never showed up. So hot! I mainly sat and looked through pictures while we waited.

I'm back home after a wonderful 4 week trip. We had a wonderful time. I need to post pictures on FB. Will try to post a few here, but it proves to be quite the challenge for me to post more than one at a time/post. Thankfully, travel went relatively smoothly (no cancelled flights) and our luggage arrived with each flight. I'm going to go through my photos and make a photo book for 20, 21 and 22 (at end of this year) so my photos are somewhere other than my phone.

Lots to do to catch up at home. And get ready for the start of the 22-23 sy which starts for me on the 15th. The kiddos start on the 22nd. Next week is full of PDs. I'll be at the same school I finished the school year at covering FMLA (at least I think I will as I haven't checked work email since I left) through October.

Ruth - great b'day gifts. The buffalo photos are great.

Wonderful - I did a lot of decluttering and throwing out in June. Still more to do - hope to do a little the next couple days in between appointments and catching up at home.

We had lots of HOT weather on. our trip and it is heating up here to high 90s.

    Claire have a wonderful trip.

Too hard to go back and read several weeks posts - I did skim posts every now and then, but not enough to remember to address everyone.

    Have a great Tuesday.

Welcome back, Karen! Glad your trip went well and you have no terrible travel stories to tell (which is a minor miracle this year)! Yikes, you don't have much time to get back into the school mode!

I went to Barre Sculpt & Yoga tonight.

    Such a pretty picture, Ruth!

Met a friend for walk and talk this morning. Today was cooler and the dew point was lower. Really makes a difference!

I'm kitten sitting a little blind kitten for a friend of mine who will be gone until September 1. She's so little and so precious. I let her walk around the house and it's amazing how well she does. When my 2 adult cats come inside I put kitty back in her huge cage. My cats are sweet but you never know how they will interact. Plus, if the interaction is good and they bond it could be hard on kitty when she goes back home.
