CA dreaming photos are beautiful.  Walking on the beach sounds like a great time.  Get well Sweet.    I walked a lot this weekend.  Wasn't up to running but I did get out anyway.   I went swimming yesterday -- 30 minutes of slow laps.  Water was freezing but it was nice just the same.

    Hi Ladies,

I've been doing cross fit on and off for about 4 years now, taking time off for my first dx in 2010 and now thinking about continuing during this round of treatment.  It's a bit extreme compared to what some others are doing, but it works for me.  I get bored so easily that this seems to work for me because the workouts change daily.  This mornings workout was finding a 1 rep max for front squats, followed by a 10 minute AMRAP (as many rounds as possible) of 30 burpees and then 9 wall balls, 7 box jumps (I do step ups) and 10 sit-ups.  It took me about 4 minutes to just get thru the burpees, so I only got out 3 rounds of the other stuff.

Enjoying the pictures, ladies.  Today was a dr appt.  I got the all-clear and lost 3 lbs since last visit.  I went by myself today so I decided to make it a pleasant trip and not a rushed one.  I splurged on a frou-frou coffee after the appointment.   Then I walked around the campus.  It's been really hot here but near the lake there is a cooling effect so it was very pleasant.  I looked at all the old architecture and wandered through their gardens and found out who is the statue that I pass by in the car every trip. Then I came home and rode my bike.  This was my first bike ride of the season and it was kind of tiring as the first couple of trips usually are.    Plus I'm pretty sure (or hoping) it was difficult because the front tire looked a little low.  I forgot to check the pressure.

Jumped back on to add I walked the dog this evening for 25 minutes and did some upper body weights and stretching.

    Love all the CA photos.

Basia, your workout sounds good and challenging. Similar to my bootcamp workouts.

Went to bootcamp tonight and had a different trainer. I think she was trying to kill us...LOL

Love all the pictures! The weather looks perfect. Ruth, you earned that Oscar for Best Trip Planner!

Odie: too funny on your different trainer!

Been staying active. Today I mowed for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Later I walked/jogged at the park. It was a nice day and I wish all summer days were like this.

Edited to add that I hope Sweet starts feeling better! Thinking about you, Sweet.

Lovin' the pics of you California Dream Girls!

I got back from my granddaughter's graduation weekend a little while ago, so here's some catching up on my exercise posts: Swam with three of my grandchildren on Saturday, walked with my daughter yesterday, ran 4 miles this morning before hitting the road, and walked the dogs this evening after getting home. It was a wonderful weekend, but I came home with my grandson's cold.

I'm packed!  Hope you CA-dreaming gals heeded my warning to not have too much fun until I arrive tomorrow evening.

Can't wait to see you all again and meet new faces along the way.  YAY!

(And, yes, I have been exercising just been staying away because of my love/hate relationship with the computer since I'm on it all day)

It was a fabulous lunch, so glad that you all came. We walked at Seal Beach after lunch, then worked out with the wonderful Eduardo tonight followed by dinner on the bay at Newport Beach. I'm posting from my phone and can't see a thing will fill in dialogue later as Ruth is keeping a record of our adventure.

Checking in here after some time away.  What lovely pictures of the California ladies!   And what a cutie Eduardo is!   It's inspiring to see what you all are up to!

Have been getting in lots of pilates, working into advanced reformer workouts and feeling good.  Lots of trail hikes with my dog too.  It's been nice weather in Budapest, for some reason still cool and I'm not complaining!

My news - after four years of expat life in Budapest, we are making the move back to the United States.   Our household gets packed up in a couple of weeks, and the kids and I will be on our way to Florida.  It's bittersweet to be leaving, but I'm happy about getting back to family, speaking English, and a culture that I understand.  DS returns to Budapest in the fall to complete his senior year of high school, so I will be back to visit and check on him next year.   It's been a tough year for our family, I'm looking for a new start in Florida.

Hope that you all are having a good start to the summer ~

Basia,  Burpees are hard no matter how many you do. Odie, glad your trainer worked you hard and you lived to tell us about it. I miss working out with a trainer but it got too expensive so I gave it up.  Still try to do all the exercises that I learned from her though.   CA girls looks like a fabulous time together.     Yesterday I did a 1 mile run but quit when the bugs got to me then did some laps but water was too cold so just 15 minutes before I was freezing.   I was disgusted that nothing felt good so I finished with a nice Pilates workout which left me feeling accomplished.   Beautiful sunny day here so going to go biking at lunch.

    Welcome Basia and DDOL.

I had a great time trying to keep up with Body Jam. Felt very relieved it was not as strenuous as "Sweat" class with Eduardo. Now let's see how many days it takes me to recover!

Cheryl, Ruth, S&S, and Badger, you all did a great job with your first hoop session.
