Hahaha Patoo my weight stayed the same too and I ate the cheesecake (and the chocolate cake)
Great job littleblue. LB hope your filming went well (I just know it did) and by chance did you go to OneLive London? Thanks everyone I have been icing my back and putting on lots of Icy Hot and tonight I did the foam roller at the gym which was painful but felt good at the same time. Tonight I did 30 minutes of RPM and then Body Jam but at a very low impact

LB, ditto Cheryl on the filming. DD had 2 exams yesterday and has another two today. But school won't be over for 2.5 weeks more. Hope you have a great summer!!
Cheryl, I also twisted something while putting dishes into the machine. But not as bad as you. Still wondering if I should go to Body Jam tonight. Haven't been in ages. But it may be time as I seem to be OK now with Zumba.

45 mins on treadmill before lunch with a friend. Will try hit pool tomorrow before or after dental cleaning.

I got into my friend's lake for the first time this summer and got to swim. Not too hard on my quad muscle and it felt SO GOOD to move this body! My hip is a little sore tonight but not terrible. I have PT tomorrow so we will see what he has to say...

Catching up after vacation on posts and exercise. I hope you are doing better Cheryl and note the CA Dreaming trip appears to have had a great time. Lilacblue, hope your taping went well. Claire, sounds like you are ready for the big ride.
Was on vacation last week which included lots of walking (hit 20k+ several times) plus a run or two. Monday I came home and swam for an hour. Tuesday was back to bootcamp where I was pleasantly surprised to find that I was chosen as the Athlete of the Month for May. Guess I will have to live up to the expectations.

Whoo Hoo, odie, that is awesome!

Ruth - Where is that place? Seems so peaceful. Odie - wow, what an award, congrats! No exercise to report today. Good night everyone0

A friend of ours just built a house in a new development on the outskirts of my town. She invited us to walk out there this morning and take a tour of her new house. A good thing about North Dakota is that we still have plenty of open spaces!

Woohooo Odie congratulations. Nisa I used to have a Fitbit and I loved it but I dropped it and it was run over, I am in a study at SDSU and they gave me an Omiron pedometer and it's really nice and probably not expensive. Ginger glad you were able to swim. Heidi you know my answer, when all else fails - dance, so I say yes to Jam

Tonight did a 60 minute Spin class.

Ruth, I bet real estate there is much more reasonable than here! California home prices are just crazy!!
Hoping to get in more walking today!!!

Great picture, Ruth! Congrats, Odie!
I did not go to Jam but took a rest day. I actually was supposed to go to kickboxing in the morning but the teacher had cancelled. Today I did 30 minutes cardio and 20 minutes stretching.

Hey everyone - way too much time has passed for me to ever catch up, although I do want to skim through the California Dreamin' pix that were posted. I know it was a great trip!
I've been off site because it's been a real "life happens" time for me over the last few months. You may remember that we did the big downsize move from our house to renting a little patio home in our local 55+ community. Our house sold, and we finally got all the furniture and stuff moved into the patio home. Nine days after our furniture arrived, the water heater somehow ruptured while we were at work. It emptied itself all over the house, and of course as it emptied, it kept refilling itself and emptying, and refilling and emptying. Basically water gushed out at full blast for several hours until we got home. We walked in the door to find an inch of water throughout the house covering everything - there was so much water that it had even gone through all the exterior foundation walls and was running down the grass outside the house. Poor Mikey was trapped on a chair all day as the water was all around him.
Of course all the carpet and wood floors had to be ripped up, and everything had to be dried out and repainted. We ended up at the Extended Stay for 5 weeks - two of us and the dog crammed into a single hotel room, with a 45 minute commute each way instead of a 10 minute one. We lost just about all of our furniture, and since we'd just moved in, we still had a lot of boxes on the floor we were in the middle of unpacking. So we lost a lot of books, pictures, and memorabilia that were in those boxes. But if I learned one thing from BC, it's that I can say with all honesty that it's just stuff. All three of us are alive and healthy, so that's what matters.
Anyway, everything was finally cleaned up and we moved back last week. Our new furniture is being delivered and we're actually unpacking stuff and even hanging a picture or two! Our renter's insurance was great and paid for everything, even paying for Mikey's doggie day care since we couldn't leave him at the hotel all day while we were at work. Word to the wise for anyone who is renting - make sure you have renter's insurance!!!!
During all of this I got totally de-conditioned, so a few weeks ago I downloaded a Couch to 5K program for my phone and started back up. I'm now on Week 4 and am gradually building back up some conditioning. Now that life is returning back to normal, I hope to be a regular on here once again. I've missed all of you, and all of your energy and inspiration!

Yesterday, 50 minute at the gym doing resistance training. Tonight is some abs work and yoga!

Welcome back, Mary! Here's to some nice, normal, ordinary days!!!!
It is a beautiful 78 degrees here and I was sitting on the deck getting caught up on some paperwork. Too nice to be inside! I did noon yoga & plan to go to Zumba tonight.

Dear Mary, it is so good to see you back here😀 you have had a lot on your plate! I sure admire your positive attitude about it all ! As Ruth said, I hope things return to normalcy once again!!! You are going to great

Oh Mary! And poor little Mikey stranded on the furniture. How awful. Sounds like you are handling it all with grace so hopefully things will be quiet for a while.
Today's exercise was bootcamp again. Will have to get a walk in early tomorrow before an evening wedding for my nephew. Which yes, there will be cake. (Cheryl, one bite is for you..)

Mary, glad you are back and into your new place. I did an Extended Stay for 5 weeks as well and it was only me so for 3 of you in one was, well, let's say 'cozy'! This week I've been in a regular hotel room but my alone time is ending and tomorrow I travel down to MD to meet up with my sister and we will begin our 6 week adventure which ends in FL in August. I have enjoyed this time (including the CA trip) but will be glad to finally get to FL so I can stop living out of suitcases!
Nisa, I agree with Cheryl that the Omron is a good pedometer and runs around $25-$30. which is significantly cheaper then the fitbit. Took walk with a friend today so we logged over 12000 steps.

Congratulations Odie!!!
Nats: Great to see you back!!! I've been thinking about you and wondering how the clean up has been going. Glad you are back home and back into your routine, including exercise.
I push mowed this morning. Lots of liquid, but it wasn't awesome.
Later in the afternoon I pulled weeds. After supper I fast walked/ran. Sleep will come easy tonight!0 -
Hey all and welcome back, Mary! Cheryl, ouch, hope your back is better.
Nisa, my avatar is a random little girl from a free pic site. She's my inner child, smiling but determined.
We lost power M&T from storms in Southwest WI. No damage to the house, just some spoiled groceries. Thankfully, not too big of a loss as hadn't had time to go grocery shopping after home from vacay.
Walked my 2.5 mile route after work W&Th. The insects rule this time of year: the good (fireflies) the bad (mosquitos) and the ugly (ticks). I do use bug spray but wash it off when I get home, don't want it all over the sheets. Speaking of which, good night!

3 mile jog, two mile uphill hike today 😊

Welcome back, Mary, that whole situation sounds terrible! Glad you are moving past it now.
Congratulations, Odie!
It has been 3 months since I last ran thanks to this bursitis in my hip and then my quad injury. My PT says I "may" be able to jog a little starting next week. I think I may try my couch to 5k program that I used last summer to help me build back up gradually.

ruthbru,The cages and supplies were donated to the San Diego Herpetology Society. My husband accepts the donations then he needs to find some one to take the animals and/ or equipment.
I got on my WBV (whole body vibrator) this morning before going to work. When I got home from work, I took my dog out for a long walk - just over a mile.
Falling asleep with phone in hand as I'm typing q

Mary so glad to hear life is getting back to "normal" for you, I'm sorry you lost some of your baseball memorabilia but so glad our poor little Mikey was able to get up on a chair and he is okay, he was probably terrified. Badger glad you are safe from the storms. Great job Littleblue. Tonight did a class called U Jam, not as fun as Body Jam but I worked up a nice pubble of liquid awesome.

C25K, Week 4, Day 3 - 34 minutes, plus I did a bit of extra running at the end. Feels good to be getting back into a routine. Our new neighborhood is wonderful - there are little paved trails that wind all over the place and we have wildlife galore. I regularly see deer, bunnies, and squirrels, and hear all kinds of songbirds on my runs. The other day I passed a racoon family, with three half-grown babies waddling around after mom - so cute!!!

Had to share: I think most of us have the 'eat delicious food', 'walk in the sunshine', 'jump in the ocean',' be silly', 'be kind' (and some of us the 'be weird') parts down pretty good!

Off to yoga in a few minutes. Happy Friday!!!

Nice share Ruth. I believe I shall.
I have done nothing all week, since I overdid it at the gym Saturday. In the future I will be far more careful. Today I am going out to a birthday lunch for a friend.'

That's beautiful, Ruth. Would you mind if I re-posted it on our April chemo thread?

Look who I saw on my run last night...

Agree with the sentiments in Ruth's posting. Still working on my summer adventures list. Hope I get to see the Mima Mounds again during Sunday's ride. The only thing I would add to that list is to give yourself room for failure. Because not everything turns out quite as planned.
I don't think it will be the ocean I jump into this summer, but I am thinking the swimming hole near North Bend. Which I understand is the cure for any amount of summer heat.
Busy day ahead. I am looking for inspiration for a grant I have to get out. It had better arrive soon. - Claire
