Sheila ~ It is a hard decision you have to make. I don't envy you.

My Mother passed away when I was 26 yrs old, & through the next 33 years I have become very close to my Paternal Aunt. She became, in my heart, my Mother & I have told her that many times throughout the years. I love her dearly & I can't imagine my life without her in it. She is soft-spoken & has a beautiful soul.

She knows how much I love her & I would want to tell her one more time. But that is me & you will do what your heart calls for you to do.

On the other hand, I would not want to jeopardize the opportunity to see my DD. I know you aren't able to see your Hawaiian DD as often as you'd like.

Sending you strength to aid you in this decision.

Sheila - It would be 11:00 NY time.   (((HUGS)))

Up early - slept pretty good.  Getting ready to go in a couple of hours.  Stomach is in knots but I know everything will be okay.

Thanks everyone for supporting me.  I can be such a wimp

Remember to keep warm before they stick you.  My nerves make my veins constrict.  Drink some liquids now, but make sure you use the potty before they start either of the tests because they can seem much longer if you have to go. Wink

Thanks Meece.  The hospital I am going to is always freezing.  I am having my coffee now and will switch to water on the trip.

Tbat is a problem, because the scan rooms are also cold.  Ask for a couple of blankets, they always have them when I ask.  I also bring sweat pants so I am not as cold, I can't remember if they won't let you have any metal on for the other tests, so sweat pants cover your legs.

Meece - Already in the sweats and heading out the door in about 30 minutes.  Not looking forward to this but will get it done.  This is the same hospital I had my lump surgery and I remember waking up thinking they must have put me in a freezer.

Sheila - Yes, I am home now.  Finally got home at 5:00 (central time).  Got both scans done.  Two tries for the IV.  Cried after the first.  Guys felt bad and did their best to comfort me - gave me warm blankets for the scan and I think I slept through part of it.  Now the dreaded waiting game starts.  Won't get results until next Friday.  Hope the surgeon can figure out what my problem is and do something now to get rid of the pain.

Not gonna think about it now, have to many other things to do right now.

Thanks to all the sisters for your caring and support.  The wimp did good.

The bone scans that have been mentioned her lately are not the ones for osteoporsis.  They are looking for changes in bone growth.  Yes, it can indicate mets in the bones.

The pet should show anything off including within the bones.  I don't know if they would need to do both a PET and a Bone Scan.  I asked my GP for a Dexa and she says I don't need one until 5 years post menopause, which hasn't happened yet.

    SISTERS

After reading all your posts and careful questions and talking with my cousins overseas.

I decided not to go. Am I happy about my decision/ NO

My anxiety level went too high even thinking about it.

RCG.... No I wont be happy visiting Turkey  and I'm actually afraid to leave US. And there is no reason for it.

But the tiny reasons put together is becoming a big deal for me.

My Daughters want me to go. This decision is not really based on visiting my DD in Hawaii.

She is coming in July she told me.

In translation I misunderstood she doesn't have BC. She is DX with lung and mets to bones and kidney.

Sorry I couldn't answer each and every one of you who took the time to write. but I appreciate your help and i love you.

    Hugs to All.

    Thank You.
