Pat, I shoveled some snow and now am paying the price. HIP PAIN, again. I will never learn. Yes, I was up at 5 AM EST and hate when I do that! Perhaps I can catch a little nap this afternoon?? Sue

You have a beautiful tree, Sheila. I thought my first picture was too dark, that's why I took the picture with the lights on. But, yours stands out just fine. I think we should all have our Christmas trees as our avatars, We could have a virtual forest of BC Sisters!

Meece, great thought and I will be kind enough NOT to include mine so as not to wreck the beauty of your idea! Sue

Sheila, I love your tree and your new avatar. Meece, yours is beautiful too.
Welcome to all the newbies.
I, too, read everyday but might not post.
Best of luck tomorrow Valerie, or is it today?? Let us know. HUGS!
COLD COLD COLD here, as I'm sure it is everywhere. I need some heat and sunshine!

Sue, you need an avatar and I'd love to see your tree. Pleeeeease?

I really would like to see a lot of trees, maybe just for a week, okay?

I would love to post my tree, BUT, my laptop died, I am using my kids computer and I don't know how to do anything on it! I hope to get my laptop fixed or replaced soon, but who knows! Meanwhile, I will look at all of your tree's!

Makraz, sorry to hear about your laptop. If you ca figure out how to post it, please do. If you are using your kid's computer, all you have to do is ask them. I used to be really computer literate, then DS got going and surpassed me, so I just depended on him to help me out. I still do to some extent. Then I married DH and he prides himself on his computer abilities, so I let him do his thing.
So when my computer goes down, I panic and get one of them to help. It is so funny when DS is visiting. Between the computers and the BBQ I have two men unfurling their plumage. I have to have a small bbq on the back patio for DS and our big one outside of the kitchen for DH. Keep 'em separated!
DS, btw is a professional computer geek who works as a private contrator for the military. He knows his stuff.

Good morning everyone. Just wanted to stop in and say hi from freezing cold NYC. 22 degrees. Brrrrrrrr.
Things are moving along for me. Just refilled my 3rd tamoxifen prescription and today will be 22/33 rads for me. The thought of bundling up over my itchy, fried boob is a bit unsettling, but so happy it's the Friday. Can't wait to get through today and have the weekend off.
Wishing you all a great weekend.
Deb

Two thirds of the way through, congrats, debnyc! My rad office told me to get an unscented skin lotion for the itchy boob. When that didn't work they gave me Biafine, its a cream for rad burns. It soothed the skin well. It was really helpful during the boost week.

Meece, I agree, my kids have surpassed my computer knowledge. Before deciding to be a stay at home Mom, I worked in a software company for 12 years. Now I am lost!! My 11 year old says he will helpe but then by the time he gets home from school, does homework, plays soccer or scouts, etc, we never get back on the computer together. Then if he does have a little time before bed, he does NOT want to help me, he wants to play his games. I don't even want to ask my 14 year old....................
Deb, keep moisturizing! I used to put a whole bunch of aquaphor (yucky, sticky) all over my boob and cover it with syran wrap (so it dodn't stain all my clothes). It really helped although it sounds crazy! Best of luck to you.

Valerie - Good thoughts for you today. Let us know when you get a chance.
Deb - Biafine is a wonder cream. If you can get a prescription from your doctor for it, it really helps.
It was 27 degrees here this morning...very cold for the Carolinas! So glad it's almost the weekend!

You ladies and your trees! So wonderful! I am really tired of my chemo pic, so when I get my tree up and decorated I will switch my avatar. It might be later part of next week before I get there though. I hope you are all staying warm and cozy. We are finally out of the deep freeze with highs in the forties for the next several days, hurray!
Warm wishes to all.

No nap but plan to be in bed early tonight. I hate when my hip hurts. It was bothering me a bit before the big diagnosis, but now when it hurts I am sure it is something terrible.
I have a MAC and have been trying to copy something for Meece but my mac is misbehaving.
How do Sheila and all of you clever people put something in the body of a message??? I saved something to the desk top and it won't budge!

Sue, I think you have to use photobucket, or something like that. I can never do it either!

Sue, When I first read your post, I thought you were talking about Body Massage.
Yes, I had my glasses on LOL
What is it again you are trying to do put something in the body of message!!!!!! what is that?
You have to excuse me, I know couple of things but I don't understand what its called in technical language. Feel Better sister.

I use Photobucket. Go to photobucket, make an account. It's free. When you login it has a spot to Upload pics. Click on it and it will have you browse. Loacte the pic on your desktop and click on it then upload. Once it has uploaded to your album you will have a drop down at each pic that has coding. Copy the url coding. Click on the little tree icon in our posting box. Click image url and paste the url into that box. I alway have to make up a size, or at least most of the time. click insert, and it is there! I am sure someone else could make it easier.
If you delete the pic out of your photobucket, it will not show up where you have put it.
Feel better, Sue.

HI LADIES,
It has been a few days since I have posted!!! I have been one busy woman !:) I am looking forward to the holidays and was out with girlfriends last night, a little too much of a good time, dragging today I have made an appt with the plastic surgeon to help me with my scar tissue issues, perhaps I will get a nice rack after all... will see... appt is not until the New Year.
My home computer has crashed, too! I wonder why they do it! I am posting from work now.
BTW- Tomorrow is our work party, my hubby is going to KILL me, my hair is coming in nicely... but I bought extensions to wear tomorrow- $ 200, but they are fun... and I miss my old hair, SO I DID IT! I will pluck them in right before the party... he likes my short cut!
Everyone have a good weekend, in case I can't get back on line to chat!

Hi, guys! So I went to the gyn today to see what she thought of the pain in my stomach, and she definitely confirmed that it's bladder pain and nothing to do with Tamoxifen. then I called to find out the results of the urine cultures, and they are normal...no bacteria.
So now I am FREAKING OUT because I have this bladder pain and kidney pain, and it's not a UTI! All I can think of is that I have more cancer--kidney, bladder, whatever. I'm really trying not to freak but it's inevitable. UGH.
I scheduled the ultrasound for Tuesday, then I see the urologist next Friday. I'd say "I'm too young to get these kinds of cancers," but they told me I was too young to get breast cancer, so UGH.
What else could it be???

I developed hip problems about two years after treatment. I went through hip and spine x-rays and CT scans. I was told it was bursitis. Had a couple of cortisone shots. Painful but they helped for awhile (4-6 weeks max). Then last Spring I decided to do something I had never done before, I went to a Chiropractor. He has been working my muscles and it has made a HUGE difference. I have to admit, I thought it was something a lot more serious. i.e. cancer. We all have come face to face with our motality and I don't think any of us take it for granted any longer.

Negative, negative, negative on my biopsy. YAY!!!! I am so frigging relieved! And I didn't like getting the stitches out, OUCH!!! I have some steri-strips on now for a week. I didn't look at it before she put them on, the antiseptic she put on the incision was stinging & I was trying to not think about it & didn't raise up to look.
Also the pre-op chest x-ray was normal. Dang, I can't believe how exciting it is to get an all clear on an x-ray.
Going shopping with my #1 DD tomorrow. It will be fun!
cakeisgreat ~ Keeping b9 thoughts for you until you receive them.
Nicole ~ I hope you have fun at your work party tomorrow. I bet the extensions will look great! When my DH & I stopped at Jay's Sporting Goods store on our way back from seeing our #2 DD after Thanksgiving, I bought 3 Woolrich sweaters & said, "They are for Christmas, okay?" Well, he asked me the other day where they were (I'm thinking he was going to wrap them), I told him they were hanging in my closet. He busted out laughing! Hey, we're women. We do things on the fly! LOL
Have an absolutely wonderful weekend everyone!
{{hugs}}
Valerie
