Tina - I like your idea of the week end report....I went to NJ to my beautiful grandaughter's first birthday party.  It was like spring, and we all played and had cake outside.  It was a wonderful day for me.
HUGS to all for the coming week!

Sheila, I went off FB when I got my diagnosis.  I did not want to discuss my BC in public. If I can learn how to control my privacy somewhat, I'll make a new ID on FB as soon as I get through treatments.  Do you control who sees your FB posts?-- Joan

Joan...We don't really talk about BC there unless it's a milestone or something.

Yes it's so private that i can't do anything else but just post. I have https i guess it means it's very safe. My Daughters are there too so i really don't say anything. Everything is checked friends only.

It's here that i become a non stop talker. LOL

Hello ladies. Just checking in at the end of the weekend. Enjoyed a nice weekend with decent weather and quality family time.

Joan - I too had an Oncotype score of 13 and fear of recurrence is my biggest concern. As Granny says, bc sucks!

Grannydukes - Sending additional prayers for you and your friend Phyllis. (((hugs)))

To everyone else, sending big hugs and wishing you a great week.

Odie - agree with you & Granny....even though I am feeling OK, BC sux - especially because of how it affects the sisters here.
One more thing about rads - for early stage women over 50 with breast conserving surgery, rads significantly reduce the recurrence rate.  And as bad as the SEs sound, they are gradual and not going to affect everyone.  Techniques are also becoming more precise.  It still sux though.

I would love to join in with my fellow Stage 1 sisters here. Due to my Onchotype score of 30 I am having 4 treatments of chemo, just had my second this past Friday, but looking forward to better days ahead!

    Hi GracieG from KS,
Sorry you have to join here, but it's a good place to check out the threads and meet really nice ladies who share information and support during treatment and beyond.
I hope you are holding up OK and that the side effects won't be too bad for you.
Best wishes for a good week ahead,
    Joan (night owl here)

Joan, I'm a night owl, too! Your Granddaughter's 1st birthday-how sweet. It really does seem like I just did that with my beautiful granddaughter the other day, when in fact I will be spending her 5th with her March 1. My, how the time has flown....

Welcome GracieG. I am also sorry you have to be here, but happy you have found us. This is just the most wonderful group of sisters, they are my rocks. We do get silly sometimes but we can be back down to earth in a matter of seconds if a sister needs us.

K ~ Please carry some of my strength & prayers with you this week as you give of yourself, again, to your dear friend. I'll PM you at the end of the week. Hugs ♥

Since cancer has no  symtoms , how do one  will know  that it is recurrence. So let us not talk about  recurrence matter, we must think about  on how to make  ourself comfortable for today  as no one knows what  will  happen on tomorow. Life is too short ,  so we should try to do some creative works during our lifetime which we all can share each other in this thread. See, It is been almost 6 years   on post  treatment, sometimes  I too  think very seriously about  the recurrence of BC, I was almost prepared and ready to face it .. if it comes back , but it is useless  waiting  for something bad happening  in our life. I mean whatever comes later  will face by tomorow. So lets talk about  for today only. 2012  is going  to be  the year of new Era, so let  us try  on some new  things to rejuvinate  our  tired minds.

    (((((Granny))))))
Thoughts and prayers are going your way today and all week.
Last night I was putting away the holiday decorations and I found a beautiful silver candle holder with a glass window in an angel shape.  I have decided to not put this away this year; but to light it every day to remind me to pray for those with urgent needs.  Today is for Phyllis and Granny.

granny...I was just signing off saw your post..............

I'm saying this in a very caring and loving way but you need to take care of yourself first.

If you really need to go wear a surgical mask. You can get it from any pharmacy or even the hospital provides you one.

Good Luck sister....and wash your face and hands especially the nose area when you come home

Joan - What a great idea about the candle.

Hope everyone doing okay.  Have I mentioned that I don't like the cold.  That's why I'm always so attracted to Sheila's vacation pictures.  The places all look so warm and inviting.  It's cold and raining here today.  We need the rain, I'm not complaining about that, but I don't need the cold.

    Hugs out to everyone!

Joan811 - What a wonderful idea to use your beautiful candle as a daily reminder to keep others in your good thoughts.  Just a lovely thing...

I didn't do anything exciting this past weekend, but my husband and I had a nice few relaxing days kicking back, playing cards, etc.

    Take care everyone!!!
