Had my 6-month check-up today.
Everything is great. Bloodwork all normal as well as CA 27.29. Thank God..........
Although,
I hate my life being in 6-month increments..........

morning all....all is quiet.....and as I pad through the house to check on my mom and kiddo... I murmur a quiet thank you to God for their safety and spirit.

Valjean- what wonderful news....it is so hard to let go of the fear but this is such a time of rebirth and hope...I wish for you a little more peace each day...each hour, each moment until one day you turn around and realize you stopped measuring the time between exams because you were so busy embracing all of the thousand adventures that make up this life of ours....Ihopeyou dance this weekend...if even in your kitchen. I sure plan on it!

Morning everyone!
Preparing my list for Easter dinner shopping. Family all invited but still haven't heard from DS#2 and his family. I'm annoyed and disappointed in him for the way he is treating his DD#1 who needs help with a car so she will have a way to get to the two jobs she is working to support his DGD! He is avoiding her because he doesn't want to co sign, but in the meantime DD#2 gets anything she wants! I cannot believe he is behaving the same way his father did..taking no responsibility. In his mind he felt his obligation to this child ended when she turned 18. She is such a good girl, never got into any trouble, and works so hard. She doesn't deserve to be treated this way, but as we know, life isn't always fair. DS knows that if he avoids this long enough, I will step up and take care of it, and of course I won't let her and my DGGD suffer, but this time I will make provisions in my trust to take care of her needs....and it will come out of his share!
Sorry for the rant, and thanks for listening...I don't do this often, but am so disappointed that a son that I raised to know better would behave this way.

Kaara so sorry you having to deal with this family issue. I think at times all of our kids do things that disapoint us some just do it more than others. You are safe here so rant away. Have fun with the rest of your family as your son will be the one to really lose out.

Kara- what a dollface! And as others have said - your dgd is lucky you are in her life:) hell, we're lucky you're in our lives!
Munni- sorry you're going thru this right now but once you get on the other side we' ll get you on some biotin to get that hair growing like you were a kid- it is an amazing little supplement:) one of the few damn vitamins/ pills to take that actually does something for us that we can see and feel- at about 5-10 bucks for a month supply! Hoo haw!

I'm nervous because my beloved elder sister (ahem) is (to quote her) picking up mommy to take her out for breakfast this morning ( insert barfing noise here) .... Ahhh I have to let it go and will simply smile and let her massage her ego with her good deed for the week. She's totally gone over the bend and has had a number of insane emails sent to me that I have chosen not to respond to- the last thing I wrote her was after being accused that I was "playing savior and the bright little shiny star I seem to think I am" is that no martyrs or saviors here- just doing the only thing to be done" and that sent off a huge rant so over the top I felt a peace and let it go - I say hello in office but that is it - and in the midst of all this vitriol she is sending I get one that says - so does this mean you aren't standing up in my wedding? Ahem all is said to that was I thinke best not in light of the fact you basically called me the devil incarnate and heartless and we were off to the races again oh geez! Guiltbno matter how deeply placed causes extreme oddness... So I shake my head and let it go - that is what the theme must be for my life right now Let it go - wise words hard as hell to do but I'm getting better at it -
Told hubby yesterday time to sh@ t or get off the proverbial pot - divorce could be final may4 while I'm hugging on shelia and granny in NYC - but I am bit tired of this passive bs of his hemming and hawing while I wait - this whole I love you this will help us clear the past etc etc I flat out told him dude if we divorce at this point in my life I ain't gonna be looking for ways to get back with you- I love you still and would work on it but this is ridiculous - we go on dates or what ever and have wonderful times and then nothing it is confusing - like high school were we met - so sign the paperwork or rip it up- I think this is the life he envisions - connecting with me deeply every so often then going back to no responsibility and living like he does - nah not my plan - so now that I have laid that down he has rabbited again - I feel oddly free - and wary - I have a sinking feeling he is going to not be the pure heart he thinks he is and go for my measly 401 k ahhhh that is truly why I want him to fill out papers since he will have to have the b-lls to be that weeny and perhaps that fact will help me finally be free - oh I could win in retaining all that I have worked so hard for ( which isn't much) but you know I just might not - may say here ya go dude take your half of my sweat and have a nice day - might be the best cash I ever spent -
Having mom here is teaching me much more than I imagined - I told her last night - we are helping each other remember who we are........

annettek: Sadly, I'm afraid you're right about the 401K...if the divorce laws in your state are anything like Florida, it is something that has to be done by the court, unless the other party signs off and doesn't want any part of it. My ex took the half that I earned while we were together, money that I had worked hard to save, and blew it in short order! For a time after the divorce I carried a card in my wallet that I looked at every time I opened it...it said..."Love is grand...divorce is $150,000 grand!" I've never gotten married again and it's been over 18 years. My boyfriend and I have a great relationship but we aren't tying the knot.
That sister of yours sounds like a piece of work...don't let her get to you. She is just trying to justify her behavior by taking it out on you...I would ignore her completely.

munny: Don't worry about the hair loss...it will grow back, and they have so many cute wigs that you can wear. I saw one at my hairdressers the other day on a lady, and I had no idea it was a wig until she took it off! The main thing is to take good care of yourself and get lots of rest between tx.

munny the bright side is your hair will grow back. And like Kaara said they have so many cute wigs. Splurge for a good one. My BFF decided when she went through chemo to get different colored wigs and then whatever mood she was in was what she wore. She was so funny. She has light brown hair and she had one wig that looked like her hair and then she had a blonde, red and black. She decided everyone knew it was not real so she wanted to see what it was like to have different color hair and had fun with it.
Annette-(((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))) Hope you can get past this divorce and get some peace in your life. Glad your mom is there with you. It is funny how we are never to old to need our Moms. Even though she needs care she is also providing you with emotional support that you need.

Sherry-your friend did what I threatened to do way before I ever had BC. I have always had "hair envy" and would see styles & colors on gals & wish they were mine. I used to tell my hairdresser "I just want you to shave it off so I can have wigs of different colors & styles & just wear whichever hair appealed to me." Sooooooo, get BC, lose hair, wigs????? Nah, I never 1 once, I just wore scarves & Buffs or went torpedo! Have hair again--wish I had wigs!!!!
