I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas and ate way too much just like I did LOL!! Now back to the diet if I can only stay out of the candy... Oh my!! Back to work tonight.  Stay warm all of you that have had the blizzards and those of you expecting snow up the Northeast get out your snuggies and watch some old movies cuddled up on the couch.  It's been cold, cold, cold here today and some places even got some sleet and snow flurries, not enough to lie on the ground. It's just been too wet here.  Hoping we get that big snow in 2013.  But for now I'll settle for some really cold weather to kill off the bugs, mosquitoes and fleas.  They were really bad here last summer.

    Take care

Mimi, its been about twenty degrees around here. Had enough snow to qualify for a white Christmas. But I am sure we will get more. Gonna stay tucked in though.

Sheila, thanks for the kiss! LOL

Last night between the wind , the snow, the rain and cold temps made our area miserable......

I forgot how the sun or the blue sky look like........

Take me away from NY......I started looking gray.....need sun......

Other than that things are better....anxiety is under control so far

Today Santa delivered my comforter set from Kohl's

I love it...It looks exactly the way they advertised the color and everything......

Yea Sheila for a new comforter from Kohl's!!! stay warm now LOL!! I so wanted a white Christmas or even a white New years will do... but not looking like that is going to happen.  we have cold temps, well cold for Alabama.  hahaha!! it was a frigid 32 this morning when I left work at 7:25.  I have no idea what it was before that.  It has been drizzly and rainy here all morning and doesn't show signs of stopping.  I swear I absolutely hate rain.  That is ALL it has done this entire FALL and Winter season here.  Our grounds a mucky and soggy.  Just about the time they start to dry out a little here we go again with the water works.  YUCK!!!! It's a 1,000 wonders our water hasn't turned brown from all the rain.  Then again it may have and I just have had the fortune to not wash anything white in it till it cleared up.  Living in the county and we are on the tail end of the water lines we always seem to get mucky brown/gold water when it rains a lot and then our wonderful whites get brown spotted stains on them.  Nothing like taking out a pr. of white nursing pants or white jeans in the spring and having stains you can't get out.  Ugh!!!  Ok I won't complain anymore.  I seem to get off on these tangents.  haha!!

Oh I do have to complain a wee bit more isn't that what my friends are for Wink  I worked off Christmas eve morn came home and slept from 8 am till 1 pm. Got up went to town and got things for Christmas dinner the next day.  Came home about 4 and started cleaning.  My hubby was at home too and we had none of our gifts wrapped for 6 grandkids, 3 children and their spouses.  DH picks up a few toys out of the den floor and then sits down in the recliner as I proceed to "kill myself" cleaning.  Mind you my house has not has a thorough cleaning in about 6 months because my daughter moved out, moved home, got married and moved out and I work midnights.  Anyway I was up wrapping gifts and cleaning and washing clothes, mopping floors, sweeping, cleaning bathrooms, etc. till I couldn't go anymore and finally went to bed at 2:30 a.m.  Got back up before 8 a.m. and continued to clean and then started cooking and cooked all day until everyone got here to eat at 1:30pm Christmas day.  Now I don't expect a well done or anything like that, but my DH was about to put his foot in his mouth Christmas day... I had fumes coming out my ears! After I had done all of that I told him the least he could have done was load the dishwasher up and he starts to open his mouth (this is before anyone has gotten here) and say I smoked the ham.  But he stopped himself short when he realize what he was saying.  What is it with men? When I was doing all the cleaning I told him he could help me and he said to me, what do you want me to do? I asked him are you a 10 yr old child that has be told what to clean? Look around you and open your eyes!! Then I simply told him not to bother that if he couldn't see what needed to be done I didn't need his help.

Ok that is my Christmas story.  Hope ya'lls were great Smile  I did get a beautiful houndstooth coat and Cannon Rebel T3 camera. LOL

Our local news said that during the summer we had a 75 day streak with 68 days of sun. That was followed by a 75 day streak with 68 days of rain. Ugh! I'm using the lights for winter depression.

I'm stage I had my surgery nov. 20th not in lymph nodes. BRACA1 positive. First chemo was Dec. 17th still have hair but I'm getting headaches so I'm nervous it's coming out soon. I slowly cut my hair shorter to get used to it easier. Lots of body aches from the neulasta shot. Morton PM's do not help at all. Christmas Day tried drinking dr. Pepper cherry and it felt like it was burning my tongue. Now I'm drinking sweet tea and no issues with it so far :-)

Munnybunn- my doc does quarterly bloodwork. Eventually it will stretch out to once every 6 months and then once a year. I had a 6mo post surgery mammo on my right side and I will have my annual bilateral mammo in the spring. Unless my tumor markers are out of line at any point I think that's how it will be from here on out.

    Munnybunni.......Oncologists do things differently.....

Some will see you every 3 or 4 months to do Blood work the first 2 years then usually is every 6 months until you reach 5 years after that it's once a year.....some do Tumor Markers some don't

I don't recall any scans done after finishing chemo...everything was done before......

    Did you have a lumpectomy?

    Welcome to our sisterhood......♥

No we are not DRs but have experienceWink
