n50karen:Congrats on completing rads.  I remember how relieved I was that was done.  Tamox is just another stage-I'm doing Femara!  One does what 1 has to do here.  I'll be hoping you have minimal SE with the tamox pill-there are several threads strictly for those taking that drug in case you didn't know.

karen...I'm glad you are done with radiation.

Its anxiety producing when you start a new medication. You might do just fine or have SE.

Not everyone reacts the same way.

I have been on Femara over 4 years now except some hot flushes at the beginning' didn't experience anything else. I just take it every morning.

Once you start it gets easier. Let us know how you are doing.

The waiting never gets any better.  Friday, the 11th I had my 1 yr mammo.  Was having them every 6 months.  I told the tech to tell the radiologist to go over the film with a fine tooth comb, that I am very nervous because it has been a year since my last mammo.  After waiting what felt like forever, she came bouncing back and said, "Debbie, they said everything looks great."

    PHEW!!!!

    I see my BS Saturday.

November I have my 6 month onc appnt with a lot of bloodwork.  Calcum-Vit-D-CEA~ CA15-3~CA27-29, something else to worry about.

In 2 weeks I have that too. That is the most nerve wrecking thing the Tumor Marker test. Much worse than mammogram.

Deb...How often do they do Vit-D test?

I think mine was 6 months ago with a reading of 37.

Maybe I should ask the oncologist for another one.

I had my first Vit D test about 8 months ago, she said it is well within normal limits.  Next one is in Nov.

deborye, my med onc said mine is also within normal limits for Vit D.  report says it's 31.  according to what I'm reading on the Vit D thread I'm deficient and should be at least double that.  I've started taking supplements (in addition to getting out in the sun for a few minutes whenever I can).

Patoo... You are not deficient its just that you are on the lower side of the normal limits.

    I take Caltrate+D twice a day.

    Good News sisters.

Mammogram showed clean breasts. This is the first time I had a Digital Mammography.

She showed it to me. They looked like ocean water and few fish in them. It was so clear.Wink

I wish I could get them every six months.  I will only be getting one per year as per my oncologist.

I am only getting them on a six month basis because they are watching something.  I wish They weren't having to do that.

Meece - I like your photo.  It looks like you have wings made out of a shell.  Is that what I'm seeing?

Just before I posted here, BC.org kind of shut down for me, I couldn't post or change screens on BC or anything.  Other websites were working.

Just a minute ago, the screen started scrolling up and I wasn't touching anything, it wouldn't come back down and stay.  Now it is fine.

I have no clue why my post went up three times.  Very strange as I don't recall it freezing up or anything.  I just went in and deleted the last two. Lol..I really do like the clamshell wings photo but surely didn't need to say it three times!!
