Furfriend, whenever you come down to Fort Lauderdale! boat is ready to go out!

A week without Tamoxifen and hope my body got reset for tomorrow when I start it again. I was so fatigued my MO told me to stop taking it for one week. We'll see.

And this coming Friday is my surgery exchange to my permanent implants. I am so excited!

Furfriend, love the coffee graphic.  Exactly how I feel.

Thank you for all the good wishes with chemo ending this week.  Back in September, it seemed like this time would never come.  Now, on to the next episode.  Wish I didn't have to do rads, but hey, throw the kitchen sink at it, right?  have a great Sunday everybody.

mercedes, these are the times that try women's souls.  It's totally OK to cry.  I was having frustration with California Disability, even drove up to SF today because I couldn't get through on the phone/via email, and lo and behold, this afternoon, I got an email from California SDI saying that my benefits will be paid within 48 hours.  Yes!  But you can bet before I was pretty upset.

I have my last chemo on Thurs, and on Sat night my dear friend is hosting us up in Napa overnight to celebrate!  I know there's still rads to go, but it was chemo that I dreaded the most...and now it's almost over.

Headeast, I will be thinking of you Fri when I wake up to a week (and hopefully, a lifetime) of no more chemo.  Best wishes on exchange!

Fur friend, hope the nosebleeds hit the road.

    Enjoy your week, all!

thank you guys, even though our families and friends sympathize with us its not the same as when we are helping each other thru this site, you guys know what we feel is so different than someone who broke an arm or revovering fromsmall surgery, its epic what we feel mentally and physically. Ok enough of that........

Headeast good luck on your exchange friday i will be thinking of you And your double D's. Lol just kidding!

Warrior. Take a pic of you gettiing your last taxol and post.  Lucky you going to Napa to celebrate, awesome have a wonderful time.

Furfriend i think our nosebleeds are mainly cause of the elevtric heat in the house a d extreme cold, blahhhhhh winter.

I have been craving sugar also!  Love chocolate.  I bought a bag of Giardelli dark chocolate squares that are 60% cacao.  Cacao is supposed to be good.  So I treat myself  to one little square every night.

taxol #9 down, i woke again at 2am again this morning and could not get back to sleep again happens after every treatment, gotta be that decadron, so needless to say today im jittery, hope i crash early tonite. Had to take my girls to dentist also today, of course they thought  i was acting strange today, i said it was normal. And sure enough coming out of the dentist into parking lot i saw an empty space where i thought i parked my car, i then yelled omg someone stole my car! Mom you're parked over there, are you sure you're ok.   LOL what a day.

As far as computer, well not sure about space etc., i will check them out, we bought my daughter a HP sleek notebook for xmas and she likes it. If hubby is coming with me  i'll check out the  macbooks. Lol.

I'm documenting my journey and also throwing in how my life changed after retirement, raising teenagers etc.  put a humourous spin on everything. I love to write, so when this chemo head is under control i can start with a laptop of course, it would take forever on an ipad.

Wow you sure have a lot of things on your wishlist, isn't strange when you speak to other women that have bc or survived, they always want to change, things travel more, i too want to repaint my bedroom  my daughter needs new bedroom furniture  i'm making lists. Lol. Get your big flatscreen before the game!

Yes had my choco fix today, choco covered mashmallow heart. Yum

    Warrior's last chemo today. Yahoo!

Enjoy the game. Furfriend.  I will be watching the game with one of my daughters in living room and hubby will be i. His NFL mancave in the basement.  Food. Dont know yet........

very nervous now waiting for tomorrow's surgery!

I sometimes think I am a pain in expecting things flowing the way they should be, but I don't think it is normal:

-To have to call my PS office and find out the time the nurse from the Operating Room told me to be there was the time of the surgery and now two hours early

    - That nobody called me to let me know they change the time and building in where my surgery would be held

    - To receive a call the afternoon before the surgery from my PS office asking for my PCP phone number because they never got the clearing to proceed

    - To have to change my ride to the hospital last minute because my DH got a last minute meeting and he can take me but not pick me up until later

    UGH!

Ohmmmmm... Please whoever knows how many days I have to rest after the surgery please let me know. PS told me by Monday I could drive and work..??? Is that true?

You are all so sweet!  Next, it's on to rads, with a side-trip to plastic surgery for a TE fill.  Should be done with rads by mid-March; then it's time to wait until exchange surgery.  Doing well and am happy today!

You do look very young and pretty. Congrats on last chemo. ThumbsUp  I just had my head shaved today. I have round 2 on Monday. I get rads also. They told me no exchange until 9-12 months after Rads. TE ' s will be in for a long time. Good luck to you.

Thank you all for the warm wishes.

I had my surgery yesterday. Checked in at 5.30am to start surgery at 8. They prepared me, interviewed me, etc. the conventional 7 people in the OR plus me. Left the hospital at 4pm.

The PS saw me and marked me, asked me if I wanted to go bigger than my TE and I said yes and for him to pick whatever implant was better.

My TE were at 325cc and he could not add more. My implants are Natrelle 20, 550cc and the muscle pain is terrible. I am taking OxiCodone every 4 hours and doesn't really help. The cuts don't hurt, just the muscle.

I am wrapped in a large bandage and I am supposed to stay that way until I see him on Tuesday. Only sponge baths without making bandage wet. Instruction says no lifting and if with OxiCodone, then no driving and not making important decisions.

I guess my PS didn't think I would have pain and be able to drive to work, but getting larger implants have made me have a LOT of pain. It is even hard to type.

Good luck for the ones getting surgery this coming week. I am positive this pain is worth it.

I am on the squishy side now! Yay!
