Ladies/ILC warriors--I just want to say how much it sucks you are going through relationships ending on top of everything else. I have no words of wisdom except "this too shall pass..." Hugs Claire in AZ0 -
I agree too that stress attributes to cancers of all kinds. 2012-2013 tough years for me.
We are all in this together thick or thin, We got this! " I get knocked down but I get up again" " You're never gonna keep US down!!!! "

Still hyper today from the cocktail they give you, ill probably crash tommorrow haha, i feel pretty good no serious side effects, my red count went up a bit, but still low a d yes tired, not much energy, i did manage to shop this morning got a lot done, its crazy i am driving and these xmas songs come on and i start crying in the car all ghe way go the mall and i have this crazy habit of taking my toque off and rub my head often, so at a stop light did my thing put my hst back on looked at the car beside me and the woman sho obviously saw my habit smiled at me and thumbs up AWKWARD, actually i had to laugh. I guess she liked my bald head!
I think im done xmas shopping, i dont go out often and stay away from crowds, my sister is doing xmas dinner for the family this year, she lives down the street from me snd has been my angel helping me out with everything so i bought her sn IPAD AIR for xmas to thank her, she will freak out because we mormally dont exchange gifts.
Everyone who is doing taxol their hair seems to be growing back. But its growing back grayish color is this happening to any of you? I barely had any grayhair, my hair was thick and dark reddish brown.

hi headeast
Yes, Still tracking very well with the tamoxifen - weightloss seems to have steadied so overall about 12lb loss (i am 5ft 8 and 150lb now)
My eyes get tired after a bit of reading but who knows if that's coincidence.
Pretty painless so far - been on it 2 months now and just started second bottle

Mecedes,
You sound good over all!! That is great that your RBC is up. The lady in the care was thinking how very brave you are and how beautiful
Could not sleep well last night. I seemed overly hyped today at work and heart racing a bit. I seem to be a bit on edge as well-meds? OR Could it be because my mother moved in the apt. downstairs from me today???

FurFriend, I would say a combination of both!

Husband here. About your grayish color hair re-growth query-----> My wife had very fine, ash-colored hair coming in initially.
She did DD A/C X 4 followed by 12 weekly Taxol.
The fine ash-colored hair started coming in during the last weeks of the Taxol.
The initial greyness and finess are apparently common.
Her last Taxol was on 4/25/13. Her hair is SUPER thick again. She has had it colored and cut several times (she's a reddish blonde), but the roots look even darker now. The grey is definitely gone, save some strays and then she colors it again. The hair is strong and thick and below the ear, but keep in mind she has cut to even it out as it grows in----so some parts could actually be longer if she just let it go.
You STARTED your chemo about 9 months after her. At some point, the hair growth will go from gradual to abundant. You will be amazed.
My wife ditched her wig in August and she just had this cute short style. She looked beautiful in her wig, too----I just think finally going sans wig was just liberating and another part of reclaiming her life after almost a year of working through all of the treatments.
You are ALL beautiful, powerful ladies! You will push through this. It gets better. For you and for your families.
Wishing you all the best. Everyone of you.

colt45 thank you for the info a d glad to hear your wife is doing well, its a long journey a hard one to accept some days, your body being hijacked by poison, no control of the side effects, we see our once vibrant selves being robbed of our active lives, forced to accept our changing skin, mood swings, out of breath, fogged brain metalic taste. I think i covered everything. But most important embrace our support, family, friends and friends right here on this blog ready to help. Thank you
Headeast, furfriend, thk you for your words. Made me cry. Yep its one of those days, yesterday i came down from the high after my taxol treatment. Tired my legs very heavy. Today still tired out of breath. Oh well rest rest. We aree oecting some nasty weather tommorrow so jammie day! Big hugs to everyone

Hi! Did everyone have a good Christmas?
0 -
Thanks for your courage, Mercedes. Keep smiling and wearing those pretty scarves. It goes a long way towards enjoying each day. I was incredibly happy to be ALIVE this Christmas and felt very glad to be walking the Earth. My mom is in her last days and I wouldn't want her to ever have to see me so sick again.

mariasnow, thks for your kind words, you have certainly been thru a challenging journey and i agree we are lucky to be alive. I am sorry about your mom a d i hope she is not in too much pain, my father in law is also in his last days, he tried to commit suicide last july at the age if 86. He has been in a long term favility since and not doing well. I was also diagnosed with bc in august so it was a trying summer for us, and i also lost my older brother at the end of may, but somehow we got through it all, tough at times but you dig deep and get support. So i hear ya. Lets hope 2014 will be better. Xxxxxxx. Cheryl

I still have surgery though and todate i dont know what im going to have, they will have to run more test toward end of chemo. But oh yeah i csnmot wait go take back my life, dont care if i have boobs or not tight? Lol we shall celebrate warrior!
Headeast, you bet my shopping adventures are limited and short lived and i am a shopaholic and proud of it. Lol. So yeah cant wait to stroll thru the malls here and in florida my second home and not get winded or exhausted.

Good luck mercedes60; you're 1/3 there. I will be thinking of you. And I agree; the boobs don't really matter that much to me; I was really small to start with. A little symmetry would be nice, though! Be of good cheer; Feb 21 will be here before you know it.
