Pink frosted lipstick, oh yeah! I even has some that was just the frost, a pearly white; and I had WHITE cake eyeliner too. I liked the glosses that were popular a little later, especially "Pot O' Gloss" by Yardley. I had some midnight blue mascara and I had green once too. These were Maybelline, around the time they had their "Blooming Colors" line.

Lemon Up Shampoo -- the cap of the bottle was shaped like a lemon.
Does anyone remember the name or brand of the small bottles of "body oil" that were so popular in the early Seventies? I had "Wild Cherry, " "Musk," and, of course, "Patchouli." There were dozens of different scents, and the oils were different colors which you could see because the bottles were clear. I wish I could draw the shape of the bottle I remember, then someone else might know the ones I meant. ???

I remember Lemon Up Shampoo, my mother wouldn't get it because it cost more. I also remember rinksing my hair with lemon juice to "highlight" it. As I recall, it didn't really work, but putting lemon juice on my hair before going out in the sun certainly gave me "highlights" that looked absolutely awful!

Now that you mention it, I think I also Lemon Up....I don't remember Coty's Wild Musk cologne, but I do remember wild must cologne...forget the brands I bought....I had bottles on my dresser for years, but threw many out a couple years ago....haven't worn cologne since oldest DD was a baby when hubby was annoyed that some lady held her and she smelled like cologne instead of the wonderful baby smell....but since chemo, smells still bother me, so doubt I could wear it even if I wanted to....
NM...haven't really seen mood rings...but my older kids are beyond that and youngest just turned 12...one of her favorite stores is Claires and haven't seen them there yet....but peace signs and other 60's and 70's stuff are back!!! some of the things that were ugly then are still ugly this time around!!!! mini skirts...now they are worn with leggins...different than when I wore them....and wouldn't be caught dead (or alive) in one now!! but then again I don't like maxi skirts either...I sewed in junior high and high school and my dad was in the fabric business....I had a bright pink maxi skirt in junior high....talk about being seen before you were actually there!!!! oh my...sure wish I had kept it for posterity!!!

We were at Joe's Crabshack Saturday, and a lot of the servers were were wearing tye-dyed t-shirts that said Love, Peace, and Crabs and a huge peace sign on the back. Tye-dye, rememebr them mess it made to make them?

I used to like those t.v. shows with "marionation" and my favorite was SUPERCAR from the early 60's. Remember MITCH the Monkey? They all walked in that weird marionette way...I loved that.

I have moved on to "older", but still have my middle aged memories. Tonight is Friday so I would be watching Twilight Zone, Way Out and the Outer Limits and having popcorn that was cooked in oil in our old pressure cooker that we only used for popping corn. And we would wash it down with a Tab or red cream soda.

I wonder what year Jiffy-Pop came out? Seems like it was a "new" snack when I was a kid, but at a price higher than the regular corn kernels, we only had the Jiffy-Pop once in a while. It was so fun to bust into that dome of aluminum foil!

I remember seeing the Jiffy-Pop commercials as a kid. I can remember asking Mom to get Jiffy-Pop because it looked like so much fun to watch the aluminum foil puff up. Like elimar, we only got in once in a very great while, probably because it cost more.

We didn't get jiffy pop at home at all, but we took it camping and made it over the camp stove.

I remember those package things as stickers like bubble gum cards. You bought the package and it came with two sticker/cards and a stick of gum.

and the bubble gum was always stale and could break your teeth...hahah.
How many of you had a Bob-a-Loop? It's like a miniature wooden barrel with a hole in the middle at the bottom and it is attached to a string with a stick that fits in the hole. The goal was to get the barrel on top of the stick. It was produced by Romper Room. We've been cleaning out my parents house and found this toy in its original box.

I don't remember that toy.
I tried looking for a little (cheap) toy that we played with as kids, but I don't even know what it was called. They were small plastic animals with moveable legs that could walk. They had a string with a lead weight coming from their fronts and you would hang the weight over the edge of the table to make them toddle forward. Anyone else have these?
Or what about this type, usually made of wood. Push the button and they would collapse...

Something that fascinated me as a little kid were those baby bottles you could get for a doll, where the milk would flow into the sides and it would look like the doll was drinking and the bottle was getting empty. I have to say I like the fake drinking much better than the actual wetting that some dolls did!

I had one of those baby bottles, and I also had a coffee pot that did the same sort of thing.
