can anyone tell me what MJB said about her shoulder pain in Nov ?  i cant find the post on it.  It would interest me. I have had shoulder pain since nov and have been going thru physiotherapy for 2 weeks with no relief.  Doc. said I have a small spot of Arthrosis on the shoulder bone, but normal xray cant spot a met.  any suggestions or tips?

Becky - For me, the Taxol was worse than AC. I had few SE's with AC other than a little queasy and fatigued. But with the DD Taxol I had severe bone & joint pain (mostly in my legs) - it would start about 2-3 days after treatment and last for about 4 days. Pain meds were the only thing that really helped, and I had to take 2 in order for it to really touch the pain. Sorry, I hope you have a much easier time!!!

OBXK - I've been realy fatigued lately too, I keep falling asleep on the couch which is not normal for me. I'll look into the Omega 3 - Thanks.

monisch - this is what MBJ said about her shoulder pain:

    MBJ said:

"I will try to keep it brief. Over the last period of 7 months I  tried my best to get an appt. with my dr. due to a very a painful shoulder (appointent still not until Mar 17th at my fomer address/dr).  After we moved and after having 2 months of PT I had a fever for 2 weeks, went to the hospital barely able to walk & found out I had a large shoulder bone lesion on my  MX side, and my diag. was reversed from triple neg to to Est +80 plus it was throughout my spine and in my entire liver so no surgery - just Tamaoxifin.  Lots of muscle loss, doing home bed exercises to strengthen. Focussing on getting stronger (I am given 4 months) and I am having home hospice care."

monish, I have had severe shoulder pain ever since my BMX almost 3 years ago. I figure if it was cancer it would have finished me off by now. Just letting you know that shoulder pain is not always a sign of mets!

Taxol was the TX that wiped me out wayyy more than the AC - exhaustion and weakness that progressed with each dose. And numb feet. The numbness took almost 2 years to go away, and I still feel it occasionally, so I would say this SE can last a long time.

Remember the job interview I had 3 long weeks ago? I got the job!! I will be a paraprofessional in the Life Skills (special education) class at the local elementary school! I start tomorrow- so much for giving me some time to adjust. I have not had a job since my oldest was born just about 10 years ago. This job is perfect as in when the kids are off school so am I!! The only sucky thing is it will cut in to my posting and going out to lunch with friends time!! I am excited and nervous!

I went and bought new clothes today- good excuse! My husband can't give me any crap because i will be bringing in some cash now!!

I just hope my achy body can keep up!

Bak - yes, thyroid test came back normal.

Mary's shoulder pain story, sent me to get a bone scan on mine. My doctor said he was pretty sure it was nothing, but once you realize how fast and sneaky this FC is - well you can't unring the bell.

It was a beautiful day here in NC! Need to get some basil in tomorrow. I LOVE pesto!

Way to go Tif...you will be great!

OBX..let us know what the scan says...this may be weird but..when my dad had open heart surgery my brother and I had chest pains on the way home..in fact my brother ended up in the hospital one week later with chest pains..he was FINE..a few years later my mom had her knees replaced..I honestly couldn't walk because my knee hurt so bad..and I was supposed to help her out!...

I remember reading a post from Angelsabove some time ago (yes she died)...about how she was making the bed and felt shoulder pain...everytime I make the bed I freak about that.

I think it is human nature to "take on" the symptoms of people we love...my friend who was just diagnosed with BC found her lump because her breast was itching...BOTH of my breast have been itching since...and yes..I have been having some neck/shoulder pain also...

    BC sucks

Yes, we're experiencing extremely warm temps here in Toronto as well. My DD wore shorts to school today, which is unheard of in March. I'm soaking up the warm weather, that's for sure.

Wow, Tif!!!! You must have knocked their socks off!

Inmate-Yes, a beautiful day in Seattle. Although I spent it getting rads at 10;15, port installed at 2:30 and zometa at 6! I can't complain though, surgery went smooth this time and so did everything else:) I am hoping for more sunny days so I can ride my new bike! (Bicycle, not motorcycle:))

    Teka, Spring peepers! Love them!

Karen, glad your bone scan was fine!

Tif, Good luck tomorrow - you will be great and I'm very happy for you.

I've been busy working and also trying to establish a habit of exercise.  I got out in the pollen too much this past weekend and have had shortness of breath, drainage, and a dry cough, particularly at night.  It scared me, so I called the onc's office today, and they told me to take some antihistimines with decongestant. I've been loaded down all day with antihistimines, but am relieved because I feel much better tonight. So, yes, cancer makes you crazy!
