Inmate - I agree with everyone, CFS!  Eleven chemos, OMG.  Surely the magic bullet is right around the corner.  Are you taking metformin with your chemo?  If not, ask your doctor to let you try it.  Clinical trials have shown that many people respond well to chemo + metformin.

Kathy - DS finished 6th, won just over $50k!  Not bad at all!

Brower - congrats on making it through #1, keep drinking and don't let up.  Your bladder will adjust, really it will.

We had a great weekend with our friends despite the hand/foot syndrome I've developed from the Xeloda, got home last night, and today the grandkids were here all day.  We had taco Tuesday here, then we all went out for ice cream home.  The best thing that happened today is the great memories that we are making.

The first one is the hardest not knowing what to exspect. I had a headache the nurse said it was from the steroids, the tiredness was from the benadryle and the pain in my stomach was a result of the meds for nausia they cause cramping. I read all the side effects and after 3 days stoped the meds felt much better, had an ok from the doc.

HI all, Had my first 4 month followup with my oncologist today, as well as my 1 month post rads  followup. All went well, am being scheduled for my first mammo since diagnosis Oct 11- in Oct!!

Primary doc I am convinced has lost his mind- I am going to be doing a CT of the liver, despite his wanting to wait 3-6 months-then maybe on to a biopsy. I am praying that fatty liver is all it is! Oncologist told me to not take the actos that was prescribed by primary doc, and to just keep doing what I am doing with the low carb, healthy eating and exercise.

    shit Inmate- another one?? CFS

Inmate, I'm so sorry. God, cancer sucks so hard.

One more Neulasta tip: have it injected somewhere fatty, like your belly or your butt, and the injection will hurt less. I always got it in my stomach.

Carolyn- If that's the case, I can have it injected everywhere but my eyelids :-). They have been going into back of my arm, but tomorrow I am going to suggest the belly, or butt, or thigh........ Gotta laugh so we don't cry :-)

Kathrynn......my skin mets look like a bumpy red rash or this time a few little red bumps.  The first time I had them they looked a lot like shingles.  If I can get my husband to send me the pic I will post one of the first rash I had.  As long as it won't offend anyone.

    skin mets

Kathrynn........Here's a pic of my skin mets that i had removed in April.  The pen marks represent the skin that was removed.  the small cut in the middle of the mets is where I had my biopsy.   The other scars, well that's history.

Inmate - they do look so much like shingles.  And its amazing how much skin they take.  You will always have our support.  A thoroughly courageous and brave person needs all the support and help we can give and you've got it all wrapped up with our love.  Annie
