Mikey is finally down into the 12 pound range - he lost .9 pounds this week!!  He's looking so much better - min pins are athletes, and it's neat to see that athletic build start to show again.  We're trying to get him to about 9-10 pounds, so we're over half way there with him.

And I lost 1.8 pounds this week!!!!  I'm down to 154!!  I was at 145 at dx (still 10 pounds shy of my goal but almost there), put on 22 chemo pounds so I was at 167 for most of the last few years.  At one point I hit 172 - ugh.  That's when I knew I needed to get serious or I'd be back over 200 pounds again - some place I swore I'd never go again.   Loseit.com has really made the difference.  It made me realize how much I was eating, and it has kept me exercising cuz I love to see that little blue bar get smaller when I enter my exercise.

You can do it JF!  It took me a few years after dx and treatment to get it together - it really wasn't till this January that things started to click - 3 years after dx.  I think it really takes a few years to fully recover from active treatment, and if you're on an AI or tamox, that takes a toll as well.  Just keep plugging away.

Still nothing. Too much going on, and I have NOT been concentrating. But I have not gone up either, so that is something.

Mary, I am shipping my cat out to you. She can be your next 'Paunchy Pet Project'. Smile

Couldn't get my Wii to work yesterday (probably from all the dust it has been collecting!), but was able to weigh in this morning.  I am up 5.5 pounds since I last weighed myself on June 22.  I don't feel too bad about it, but am hoping that they fall off again!  Have been able to walk everyday this week and am once again using my loseit.com (struggling there!!)  Hoping to post a loss next week!

Didn't even bother to log on on Wednesday.  It's been very frustrating and I seek I'm in good company.  It's been a busy time at work last couple of weeks and activities at church have started up again.  I firmly believe my scale does not go below 180 because I've hovered just above it for at least 3 months.  Uhhh, what other excuses can I come up with?  Oh, maybe that the food just keeps jumping into my mouth.  Somehow have to get back on track because I really want to go buy new closthes as a reward for losing.

Nats Fan thanks for the encouragement.

Ruthbru, patoo and fmakj- I think we are all suffetring from fall-itis.  Maybe we all have a little bear in us and we are fattening up for winter ?  I think we could get a group discount at Overeaters Anonnynmous !

JFV - I think that I am always getting ready for winter no matter what time of year it is!! Embarassed

Am actually down 1.7 pounds today, so the walking must be doing something!!  Now I will have to add a little more distance..... we are no where near walking the rate or distance we were doing in the spring, but will work up to it!  Must also get the intake under control... loving loseit.com again!

Congrats on the weight loss, Mary Louise!!  Good to see you back.

I'm down 1.1 pounds and Fat Mikey is down .2 pounds - he's a 12.2 now, so hopefully next week he'll hit the 11s.

Mary Louise - thank you so much for alerting us all to loseit.com.  I'd been dieting and working out for 3 years to try to lose my 22 chemo pounds, and was going nowhere - I was actually gaining more!  But since I incorporated loseit.com into my fitness program in February, as of this morning I'm down 14 pounds just since February. It was the final piece I needed to figure out what this new, post-chemo, Femara-taking body needed to get rid of those nasty chemo pounds.

I really think all the chemo, surgeries, and drugs change our bodies, then add in the stress of going through a b/c dx and treatment -no wonder all the strategies we used to use pre-dx to lose weight and maintain fitness don't work anymore.  We're left to figure out whole new bodies that act in completely different ways, and that takes time.  You all were so good on this thread and the Let's Post Our Daily Exercise thread to encourage and inspire me to keep plugging away, even when it seemed that all my work was going for nothing. It's so nice to finally start seeing some results from all my work. Thanks to all of you for keeping me going!

Down one, maybe just by luck. I have been eating my oatmeal & prunes in the morning instead of aa a late night snack.. I am going to try to balance the calories better during the day instead of saving them mostly until evening.

I continue to go up and down day-by-day and today was a down day by about 1.5 lbs.  I been doing oatmeal for breakfast, soup or salad for lunch but something stupid for dinner.  But I have managed to stop eating by 8pm so hopefully that will help.

I'm afraid to get on the scale.  I can just tell by the way my pants fit i am heavier.  I don't want to know the number. Lots and lots of bad eating habits.  I am an emotional eater.  I am tryin hard to exercise.  I have looked at Loseit and am a little confused by it.  I'll check it again. Congratulations to all of you who are losing !  Keep up the great work !

OK I got on the scale.  I am 166.  Not as bad as I feared.  I am beginning to understand Loseit.com but don't use it regularly.  It does me good tho to sit down and try to recall what I ate during the day and have loseit tell me how many calories I had.

Down .5 of a pound, have not been good, but a little better. I do think that eating the oatmeal in the morning helps me to feel less hungry throughout the day.

Up 1.1 pounds - not a good week - too much eating and not enough exercise.  But Mikey is down another .3 so he's at 11.9.  So at least one of us is losing weight!!

Patoo & Ruth - I'm also a big believer in oatmeal for breakfast - you get a lot of food for the calories.  I use the old-fashioned oats, not the instant or quick.  I put some frozen blueberries in a bowl, add 3/4 cups of oatmeal, add my water and cook in the microwave for 5 minutes.  It's a yummy breakfast for under 300 calories, I get some fiber and fruit, and it sticks with me till lunch.

JF - it takes a bit to get the hang of loseit.com, and at first you have to create all your favorite foods that aren't on their list.  But since we all tend to eat the same stuff over and over again, once you create your standard meals that you eat all the time, it's a lot easier to record your calories.

    On to next week!!!!

Thanks Nats.  I'll have to try that as I tend to go the 'easy' route and use the instant.

Weight up this week - not a surprise.  Eating has been out of control and exercise has been a joke!  Oh well, today starts a new week (for Weds check-in at least).

    Night.

I am up 3.5!!!  I am so disgusted with my eating habits..... but can't seem to stop!!  I even have my physical next week and THAT is not even getting me to eat better!  OH Well,  as Patoo says, we begin another week!  (Weighed in yesterday and my Wii told me I was up 5 pounds and just couldn't post THAT!!)

Eating habits have still not been the greatest, but I am down .7 lbs...... note the decimal point!  Another week begins..... TODAY!!

Had company all weekend, so made 'real' food, and have been eating the leftovers (which are now thankfully gone). Not down but not up.

Down 2.2 - I've been home sick this week with a nasty cold, and haven't felt like eating much.  I guess that's one way to lose weight. Undecided

I'm jumping in!! Wednesday has always been my weigh day so this is great! I've done WW for many years and found the weekly accountability to be motivating. I look forward to sharing in everyone's successes and challenges.

Now my excitement may be due to a positive weigh-in today. I hadn't weighed for the last two weeks due to fear from a vacation binge that lasted well past the vacation! I just got back on track 4 days agos. I told myself I'd be happy if I had only gained 2 lbs, so imagine my excitement when I saw that I lost 1.5 lbs! Whooo hooo! Now I should mention that I had gained a few even before vacation so I'm still not back to where I was, but I'll take this win as moving in the right direction!

Onward to another week! Wishing everyone a good one!

Welcome quiche!  It is a motivating thread and even when we have our upward swings we still know we have support here.  And on that note, I'm just holding from last week so I guess that's not too bad.  Today starts another week.  Hope to see less of you all next week!

Up 2 pounds (note the lack of a decimal point).  Have not been good with eating habits this week . . .

Hooray for those of you who remained the same or lost (yes, you Quiche!).  I'm aiming for a good report on me next week . . .

Up four pounds.  I had two weeks plus of no exercise and heavy eating.  I'm blaming it on visitors and a cold.  Let's see what next week's excuse will be.Smile

omg . . . gained 3 lbs!! Well deserved though, I've been on a binge for the last 5 days. I hope this is enough of a whack to get me back on track. One thing I will do to get started again is get my food diary out and USE it! Will see how it goes, I have such good intentions in the morning :-)

Patoo: Got a chuckle out of your "accidentally on purpose" plan. I'm going to keep that one in my back pocket :-)

Wishing you all the best today.

Lost the 2 pounds I gained last week, so I'm back to where I was.  Running another 5K this Sunday to benefit Special Olympics, so that should help keep me on the "straight and narrow" cuz I want to feel good that day.

Quiche - can't remember if you've said whether you've check out loseit.com for your food diary?  Someone here posted about it and it's been really good at keeping me in line.  Plus it encourages me to exercise cuz it gives you calorie credits for your exercise.   I knew exactly why I was up 2 pounds last Wednesday - my whole sorry calorie binge was all there on loseit.com.
