Seems many of us are having the food problem.  How about we work on cutting out only a little at a time rather than trying to make a big change all at once?  Maybe that will help.  I'll start by vowing to cut out sweets this next week - no cake, cookies, candy, chocolate - anything sweet.

I will try not to eat the 'midnight snack' (which in my case is eaten about 10 pm).

Up .7 pounds - not surprising as we went out to dinner last night for Mexican food - margaritas, chips, etc.  It was yummy, but I knew I'd pay the price on the scale this morning.  On the bright side, Fat Mikey the Min Pin lost half a pound, so he's now down .7 pounds total in two weeks.  So at least one of us in the house is losing weight!

flat....pre-back-to-school eating (always an excuse, right? Frown). Don't dare weigh the cat either!

No gain so I'm okay.  Broke down and had sweets one day but 6 out of 7 without is a win to me!  This next week I will keep that self-challenge of no sweets this next week.

Ok I am up three pounds from two weeks ago.  UGH!  But, I have switched to weighing myself in morning with the WII.  Yesterday I weighed myself before breakfast and was two pounds lighter.  So, I am not that upset.  Also continuing to exercise more than I have in years so I have hopes that some of the weight is muscle.  Having said all that I wish I was like Patoo and could say I avoided sweets 6 out of 7 days.  No such luck !

Down .2 of a pound - yes that's a decimal point.  Since I gained .7 last week, I'm still up half a pound from 2 weeks ago. Cry On the bright side, Fat Mikey the min pin is down another .6 so he's down 1.3 pounds in two weeks.  Pretty bad that I'm getting beaten in total weight loss by a dog who is 10% my size!!  Surprised

JF - hang in there - it sounds like you're on the right track with that two pounds down yesterday.  And the good effect from exercise does take a bit of time to kick in.  Patoo - no sweets 6 out of 7 days?  Wow - that's impressive!  OK, Ruth - I'm waiting to hear from both you and the cat! Laughing

I am still up. I need to get back to work (which will be Monday) because all I am doing are things that involve eating. I did chase the cat around the house and finally weighed her. 16 pounds!

Wish I could say the same for this week - probably only avoided them 4 out of 7.  Going to continue my self-challenge for another week since I don't have any plans that will put them in my direct view unless I get them myself.  Hey ruth, chasing the cat - that's exercise!

Nats ! Downward is great !  Congrats fo Fat Mikey for being the weight winner this week.

Patoo I am so impressed with the no sweet thing.   I can't go a day without them.  (italics because I clicked the wrong button)

Ruth which animal is heavier Mikey or your cat ?

I think Mikey started at 15 pounds.....so must be at about 12 now, am I right Mary? So Cortana (the cat) is the undisputed heavyweight champion!

Mikey's down to 13 pounds as of this morning, so Cortana could definitely take him!

I'm down 1.1 since last week - hooray!!!

Off to go shopping to reward myself - I declared today and tomorrow as official "Mary Days" and took off work just to run errands today and have a spa day tomorrow.  I'm hitting DSW today to see what kind of shoes I can find for myself!  Cool

I am holding.  I didn't weigh myself this am but am using the Wii ift almost daily to weigh myself and track my exercise.  I can vary as much as 2 pds in 24 hours depending on when I weigh myself.  I am still exercising but also eating alot of junk food.  It's a drug I just can't seem to  give up.  I have decided I want my morning weight to be 5 lbs less than now.  Then. even though it is just barely normal BMI for me I want to stay there.  Kymm you have been through an awful lot this year.  Of course rads are tiring you out.  Don't be too hard on yourself.

Ditto, Kymm, your body is going through a lot so don't beat yourself up.  And you have plenty of company in the rest of us so you know it's more this disease than anything you are doing or not doing.  HUGS.

Holding my weight from last week (wish someone else would hold it so I can let go!) but I did get 3 people in the past week asking me if I lost weight so even though the scale and tape measure are lying, peoples eyes are seeing less of me - that's my story.  Still did not make 7 days sweet-free; probably only 5 at most so continuing my quest to make it to a whole week without.

    Night friends.

I didn't have time to weigh this morning (and, OF COURSE, won't do it tonight!). I am going to wait until next week because I have been crazy busy and eating way too much. I will weigh Cortana then too if I can catch her. She may be plump, but she is quick!

Bad week for both Fat Mikey and me.  Mikey gained .4 and I gained .9.  Irene really messed up our exercise schedule, plus being stuck inside while the storm raged was the perfect set up to eat too much! Yell

The good news - despite the weight gain, I'm back in my pre-dx size 10 pants, so all the exercise has done its job of toning.  They're still tighter than they were (I still have 10 more pounds to go to get back to pre-dx weight) but they fit!!  So I immediately put away the 12s and am just wearing the 10s.  That bit of snugness should keep me on the straight and narrow when eating!

From someone who used to wear size 18/20, it's a nice feeling to be back in 10s! Cool

Yay Nats Fan !  Woot Woot.

I don't know what to say about my weight.  This week I have been trying to weigh myself daily, at the same time of day on the Wii Fit.  According to it I lost and regained 5 lbs this week.

    ACK!

Way to go Nats!!!  I was pushing 18 in Dec 2009 and now I'm in 14 (just barely out of 16).  I would be happy to get into a 12 but if I do 14 comfortably I could live with that (and won't have to buy so many clothes).

My scale this morning said I was up 3 lbs and I also attribute that to Irene because over the weekend I did eat while being stuck in the house.  Even knocked out my 'no sugar' goal for the week.  Oh well, another week starts now!  For this week my personal challenge is to stay away from bread.  That's going to be really hard but I already made it through today.

Still no downward tread....too busy with the beginning of the school year and a couple other things. BUT I swear on my mother's recipe book that I will seriously get back at it after Labor Day....yes, I know....excuses, excuses! All that extra exercise has caused the cat to gain .2 of a pound. She is up to a hefty 16.2 pounds!! I could get my upper body workout done just by hoisting her around!

Hey everyone!  I am hoping to be back for good this time!!  I am planning on starting to walk again in a few days.  My father passed away on Friday and the funeral was on Monday.  I am hoping that after this week, life may become more normal and that I will actually have the energy and time to get back on the boards.  You guys have always kept me motivated to lose weight, now I am back in a position to start the excercising again and going back to loseit.com soon to keep me on track.  So hoping to get rid of the weight that I know I have gained over the last 3 months while caring for my Dad.

Mary Louise - I'm so sorry about your dad.  I hope his passing was easy. Good for you for caring for him during this rough time.  Be good to yourself as you get back into your normal routine - and we're all here for you.

Up .2 pounds this week - not sure why as I've been really good about exercise, but only moderately good about intake (guess that's my reason!).  Mikey is down .2, so he's down to 13.2 pounds.  Still trying to get him into the 12s!

Still holding, and have given up on Cortana. As long as there are two other cats in the family, whose food she can swipe, she will be 'portly'.

fmakj-  Sorry to hear about your Father's passing. He was lucky to have you caring for him in his last days.

I don't even want to talk about the weight.  Higher than ever !  Too many parties and not enough exercise !

MaryLouise, sorry about your dad.  Condolences to the family.

Well, I think I dropped, today, the 3 lbs I was up over the weekend.  Eating still not good.  I think on Sunday my loseit.com calories was double so it totally wiped out the days last week where I came in under my allowance.  Unfortunately coming in under doesn't work when the things you do eat are all junk.  I did pretty good on my "no bread" challenge but that's really hard and so I substituted bad stuff.

Okay, another week starts today (which already hasn't been good).  I think I will make my "no bread" challenge continue but allow myself one day of bread.

UGH !  I'm at 170 + some ounces which means I'm up 5 lbs over when I started this.  I am exercising plenty.  So the culprit is food.  Sigh.... I love love love to eat.
