A couple months ago I was invited to be part of a small group from around the BCO Boards. The moderators want us to brainstorm ways to make the BCO Community a more welcome place for all, especially newcomers, to engage in and to feel a sense welcome and belonging to when they (we) come here. If you have any thoughts, ideas, suggestions you would like to share with me, please send me a PM.

From our discussions, here is a question the moderators wanted us to bring back to the different threads we frequent: If they would set up regular Zoom Gatherings for various threads, would there be any interest? So, here is my group discussion question: Would there be any interest on this thread for a Zoom Gathering every once and awhile?

Hi Ruthbru and all. My weight this week is exactly the same as last week, and is just 0.5 lbs highr than it was when I started posting here nearly 3 years ago, and I still want to lose the 10lbs. Will it ever happen? I hope so and am comforted by the fact that I have not gained at least. I do think that posting here every week helps me to atay mindful of my diet and exercise. I don’t think I would be up for a Zoom meeting but generally do find every board hereto be very welcoming and friendly.

I'm the same too. I haven't been trying so that is not a surprise. I'm doing a painting project so am just eating 'whatever' and sending DH out for food......a bad mistake if one wants to eat healthy!!

I am up .5 from last week which was up .5 from the week before. Not a good direction at all.

I've decided to join in the fun. I was asked to gain weight for fat grafting during my exchange surgery. Putting it on aggravated me as much as now needing to take it off. I did start logging my food/calories in the past few weeks and have gotten off to a good start, lost around 3.5 pounds since I've started. I just need to stay the course.

Edit: I gained 20 so that is my total goal to lose, now for those next stubborn 16.5 pounds

Did anyone else get this challenge for cancer patients? It looks interesting and thought it might be helpful.

I've been following the Wednesday weigh in group. I have been up & down, but right now I am exactly the same weight as the day DH and I landed in Florida and weighed in on1/7/2021. I think my body has acclimated to my routine. Maybe this challenge will give me the motivation to exercise more and drink less wine.....it's so hard here-it's happy hour eveyday.

L8Blmr...Thank you very much for posting the challenge and link. I signed up for it. I haven't heard of it or the website.

I have steadily been losing over the past few weeks. Of course I had gained so much that I am still a little over where I was when I started. But at least things are moving in the right direction. I have a set meal plan and don't vary from it. That seems to be the key. Now I am going to take on the challenge that was just posted and will figure that into my meal plan that is already in place.

Down 1....now if only the cold would stop!

I stayed exactly the same again this week which is OK as I’m now in a healthy BMI range (I’ve been quite stable recently at around 143lbs down from a high of 170lbs pre bc). I think better weather would help me a lot as I miss cycling but don’t enjoy the static bike and don’t like cycling in sub zero temperatures.

Lovely to “see” you cm2020 you were the one who helped my get serious back in October last year when you asked for more frequent updates on progress. That made me plan much more effectively re diet and exercise, and it’s become a habit that I’ve managed to stick to. Thank you so much

Down .5 from last week. That's still too high but moving in the right direction.

I'm the same exact weight I was this time last week. I guess that isn't a terrible thing as I was up a couple pounds half way through the week and thankfully they were temporary.

Also, I'll take some of those cookies!

I am down 1.6 pounds. I have carpal tunnel surgery Monday (both hands) so I hope it doesn't throw me off too much. It is frustrating to have such a nice streak of both good eating and weight loss interrupted.

Late on posting but I'm down 2.5lbs from last week as of Wednesday.

    Total Lost: -6

    To go: 14

Rather than cookies I made pancakes this morning. Only 240 calories for two six inch pancakes!(recipe only called to add water) So of courseI made myself four. Which I then decided was a bit too much for next time. I also forced myself to turn on my fitness app to do a 20 minute cardio burn. Less to burn the calories and more to pick my moods back up, nothing wrong with a side bonus. It probably all went to burning off the banana I added to them

    Up .5

Take care everyone with this crazy (hopefully last full blast of) winter weather. TT

Up 1. Being cooped up with snow really made me want to eat.

The last time I weighed was Monday morning before I left for carpal tunnel surgery. I had lost 2 pounds since last Wednesday then. I have certainly gained a lot since then because eating has been awful and difficult. My plan is to get back on track tomorrow morning. Healing is hard and slow but hopefully going well. Bandages come off tomorrow.

Thanks ScotBird. Down another 1.5lbs as of this afternoon. I've limited the snacks in the pantry but I also caved over a large bag of gummy bears so we'll see next week! Happy

Hoping the surgery went well and you heal faster cm2020. I know I'm tired of surgery so sending you some positive thoughts.

Glad your surgery is behind you cm.

Alas the bad weather put me in a baking mood & I am up one pound.

Hi Ladies, hopefully it is ok for me to join you all. I have been on a yo-yo scale since who knows how long. Trying to take this more serious now because when Covid is over, I would like to go see my sponsored children in Rwanda. (I went 2 years ago and met my first child and her family).

Anyway - I'm up 4 pounds since last week and started writing down what I eat - have a dietician that says if you write it down you own it... I need all the help I can get!
