Our Berrima meeting was wonderful.  It was so nice to meet those who have been through similar experiences that I've been following on this thread.  We laughed a lot and never stopped talking.  Hopefully Trish will have a group photo to post.  Hopefully we can find some new members to join us next time as I'm sure the sharing of stories and seeing those who have finished treatment helps to normalise what may seem like a lonely and scary treatment experience.

That's great joy - hope you had a wine or two on us :)

It was good - but no wine... we were all good and drank mostly water :-)

Had a great time with our group of four. It was really lovely just chatting away and felt so comfortable. Everyone was looking great too.

Joy's photo doesn't do her justice - she is slimmer and really pretty.

Kylie's hair looks really great. So thick and a lovely colour - and is long enough to not look like a "chemo cut"!

Trish looks great - and just like her photo on here :-)

We all can't wait to do it again, and hopefully Trish can get a photo up.

Glad you girls had a great time! Can't wait to see the pic.

Had a great conversation with Kate yesterday, I think we talked for an hour and I was laughing so hard I had tears rolling down my face. So looking forward to seeing everyone in Brissy.

    Love n hugs. Chrissy

Yes we had a wonderful time, haven't talked that much for ages! I'll have to make you wait for the pics, got home one 45 mins ago and am completely buggered, with a lovely raging headache - and no it's not from wine lol. I can't seem to drive for long distances comfortably any more no no computer for me tonight ( I'm on the iPad at the moment). I'll download pics tomorrow morning and post, I promise.

Kylie, I'll also pm you with my flight details tomorrow morning. If you can get to Brissie too, that would be so wonderful.

Chrissy, Kate's a character isn't she!!? But shhh, she might be listening lol. We are going to have so much fun in Brissie in December.

Love to all, and just want to say again how much I enjoyed seeing Jenn and Kylie again. And how lovely it was to meet Joy. What a lovely bunch they are.

    Trish

    xoxo

Ah girls, I'm so pleased you got together.... I can only imagine that you would have been a very noisy table! Was the cafe as nice as I remembered??

Kylie do I get the impression that you might join us in Brisbane?????? Oh Gosh, that would be just fantastic.

Umm actually Chrissy, time flies when you're having fun. It was actually 1 hour and 45 minutes! not that I'm complaining... it was terrific talking to you and I passed on your advice to Liz on her upcoming knee replacement and what to expect. Thanks for that.

Did I hear that it snowed in Canberra today? I'd like it a bit warmer than the 20 degrees it is here at the moment... but I think I'd better keep my mouth shut. Hope your headache vanishes tonight after a good sleep Trish. I'm really looking forward to the picture of you all tomorrow. xxxxx

Oh Kate an hour 45.......really? Wow it sure didn't seem that long....... lol. As the old saying goes, time flys when you're having fun.

Sleep well Trish. Sure hope that headache disappears with a good rest. Can't wait till tomorrow to see the pics!

    Love n hugs girls. Chrissy

    I can't make it in December :-/

But.... I am visiting Princess Alexandra Hospital for work on the 17th of September which is a Monday. I could fly in Sunday morning if I want and am wondering if any of you Brisbane based women would be interested in lunch or afternoon tea on that day?

I've never actually visited Brisbane city...

Ok - here's a pic of all of us - we had to get the waiter to take this one - and he only took one, and unfortunately Jenn's eyes are closed.  So will post a seperate pic of Jenn.

And I'm feeling much better this morning, headache gone! Slept like a baby lol.

The weather has taken a turn for the better - it's actually warm this morning and buckets of sunshine. Think I'll start to clean some windows today :-)

Jenn - I don't look like my avatar I've decided - I seem to have aquired a lot more wrinkles since that was taken, and I'm still around 6kgs heavier than in that one, but I'll get there.

It's great that you'll meet up with the Brissie girls in September. Maybe next year we can all get together somewhere :-)

Kylie - about to look up my flights, and will pm you shortly.

    Trish

Wow that's a great pic of you all! I would recognize you anywhere! Oops better not crow too loudly as I might need some prompting in December ........ lol

Glad you are feeling better Trish and the weather looks a little better today. I've still got the fire lit and this morning there was a thick fog. It seems to be burning off as the sun comes over the top of the hill. Looks like it will turn out to be a good day to put the clothes on the line rather than through the drier.

    Love n hugs all. Chrissy

I look like a giant next to the other 3 petite women :-). For reference, I am only 5' 8" which is really not that tall.

Uni work to do today so likely to be quiet.

Wow what a lovely time we had. Thanks for the heads up on the cafe Kate, it was pleasant and not too crowded. The food was yummy with huge servings. It was great to see Trish again and meet Jenn and Joy.

It was windy and cold and we got a table next to the fire. Of course it is sunny and gorgeous today!

Seems like I can make it to Brissy, so I will try and organise flights and save some pennies. Yay.

Today I am going to a BC fundraiser run by the local Young Womens BC group. I usually have nothing on so this is a nice change.

    Hugs, Kylie x

Great pic ladies - so nice to 'see' you . Jenn I'm 5.8 too.

Glad headache has gone Trish. I'm cleaning windows today too. I water blasted all the moss and dirt off our front steps and verandah yesterday.  Shame I forgot to move our car into the garage. Paul spent hours cleaning it for me before he went away and it was gleaming.... Well, I'm going to have to sneak it through a car wash this morning, it looks terrible, but front of house is now looking super. It makes such a difference.

Have a great day all xxxxx

Kate - I forgot to say the cafe was perfect - thank you for the suggestion.  Food was yummy - but too much of it.

    Jenn - you don't look that gigantic lol - I'm 5'5.5".

Kylie - Yay!!!  You can come that's fantastic news :-) Let me know if you will book the same flights as me - we can share travel into the city too. Well - we are going to have a large gathering.  A little closer to the time we'll organise a hotel room. Linda - let us know if you want to share with us - maybe we can get a 3 or 2 bed suite (there are some cheap ones up there) and all bunk in together.  Sounds like we will have a long weekend of it lol

    Trish

I'm 5.4 and a half ....... can't forget the half........ makes me feel taller. I never felt like a shorty untily kids grew up as the shortest of the three of them is 5.7. Then, I was feeling tall again when the grands arrived but even the youngest of them is now taller than me........sigh.......I guess I just have to accept that I'm the family short arse!.........lol.
