    hi susie

i started getting income protection in december 2011 but they backdated it so the dates were from sep to nov 2011 the first payment was over $5,000. have had to do monthly medical forms to get payment from then to about march of this year when i finished radiation. The last form my oncologist put my status as recovered so the insurance company asked for more information before they could decide how many more payments i would get before they stop paying completely. Lots of toing and froing for the last few months for everything to get organised so my gp could send them her feelings on my current condition.

rang them this afternoon and the lady im dealing with didnt answer the phone so i had to leave a message. i stressed multiple times the urgency of needing to know their decision so i will need to wait until she rings back.  it is frustrating trisha very much so.

Happy Birthday Midnight :-) Hope your dinner happened!

Kate. it's unlikely to be recurrance so soon so hopefully it's just residual internal bruising from your seatbelt.

Happy birthday Midnight! Rabbits are banned in Queensland. I only ever see them, or hares, when travelling interstate.

Lynda, I know exactly what you mean about the value of this group; all lovely ladies.

Kate, did you have rads? If so, it certainly can cause soreness. You are doing the right thing by getting it checked out. I hope it's nothing. If you can't wait to see your onc, try to see your GP if it will help you deal with the worry.

No it did not happen tonight Jen, but we going tuesday night, hubby had to go to levin to fix a cock up, the  dick head who loaded the timber on our truck, stuffed up the truck curtain pole that fits into the slot to keep curtains shut and the driver could nor close curtain, so hubby had to take some tools down to get it fixed enough to get the truck home, you cannot travel with the truck curtains not shut keeping load secure, its going to cost 500 to repair and i think that timber company should pay it, they wrecked it. bet they don't tho. so hubby was too late home, so we go tuesday, we had subways and that was nice too, very healthy, but i was hanging out for this pork chop that i had breakers one other time, probably wont feel like it tomorrow lol. we will c. thanks everybody for all the Birthday wishes. been a lovely day, better retire and go and have a huge snore.  night nightxx00xx

Melp - I guess I was lucky, my workplace helped in all of this. I would submit the forms to them. The insurance paid until I was working 30 hours a week. I did not go back full time straight away but very gradually - like 2 mornings a week to start with.

Hello Girls, had a very sad end to my Birthday, we lost our little fox terrier Shadow on the road.  he went out to the loo and we both thought he had come back in and got back under  the blankets,  i shut the door and went to bed and never gave him another thought. we discovered this morning that he was not inside and DH went out to find him and he was on the road, obviously been hit by  a truck  or heavy vehicle as he not much of him left,  hubby went to work and i got him of the road.  silly little bugger, why he  ent on the road, its a truck highway our road, a big truck depo down the road. so he would not have stood a chance. Poor Shadow, was a very clever litttle  doggy til the dumb thing he did last night. so we are  sad sacks, supposed to go and have my birthday tea, but dont feel like celebrating, quite on the contry actually, but we will see.Cry

Oh Midnight. I am SO SO sad for your loss, and the shock you must be feeling at his sudden death. I agree with Susie, they end up just being fur family to us. I would hope that he went in an instant and his last thought was about the great scent he was following along the road. Too sad. Biggest hugs to you from me. xxxxxxx

Oh Midnight - I'm so sorry to hear this.  Yes - we love our fur kids too much, and it's so hard to lose them.  I'm not sure if you've heard about a place called Rainbow Bridge - here it is for you.

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....
    Author unknown...

I hope this helps - but it always makes me cry - I have three dogs at Rainbow Bridge.
    Trish

PS: That is a beautiful ode Trish, I've lost four of my beloved dogs this year - I buried one with the Rainbow Bridge in her 'timecapsule'.

Thankyou so much, you lovely ladies, it is very comforting. it is going to take a while to come to turns with it all, i keep expecting him to come out of the blankets. i just wished i had not assumed he is was insde and actually checked, that will be with me for  awhile.  i remember the good times like last week when he flogged the snarler off my plate when i turned my back, he was very quick, little bugger. he was killed right on the side of road, i watched the trucks going down and their wheels don't even go that far over, i hope he was not deliberately gone for. well he is having much better sausages in Rainbow  Bridge. Trish that was beautiful, hubby will read it when he is stronger, he is feeling it tonight. no shadow in bed.  Well i have a head ache and need to sleep, so i will bid you all good night. and thanks so much again. xxx00xxx

Hope you slept well Midnight and got rid of that headache. Still thinking of you and your dh, its just horrible.

On a good note, I saw the news last night about the new Sydney Cancer Centre. Sounds like a wonderful centre that will/may offer hope for improved tx's and maybe even a cure, one can only hope.

Linda, yes it's great news about the new centre. The fact they are focusing on research and fast tracking new treatments is great news. I am all for awareness but I want a cure. x

Poor buggar was so tired he was asleep within 30 seconds of his head hitting the pillow last night .. and I'd read 50 Shades of Gray while he was away he he Tongue out... I have to say it is wonderful to have him home - just for a week.

Hi girls I hope you dont mind me crashing?? Ive just joined Im from melbourne and am trying to get some info on dimpling?? I had an excisional bx 2 years ago upper outer left breast came back fat necrosis yay but in the last 11 months have noticed a small dimple near breast crease on under side of same breast it does have stretch marks in this area ( big breasts) and has not changed in the 11 months but scares the crap out of me :( My breast surgeon says its just stretched loose skin from loss of elasticity but why only one side? Ive had six ultra sounds and a mammo nothing to see she cant feel an abnormality. Now Im pregnant Ive become rather obsessed with it and am worried Im going to leave my son and baby motherless :( Im having an MRI as soon as Ive had the baby but am so mad with myself that I didnt get it before and have wasted time did others with dimples notice a difference in the size etc over time? It has not changed and I hope this is a good sign :( Thanks for listening Champy

    Hi Champy,

We don't mind you here at all. First of all, congrats on your pregnancy :-) try not to to panic. It sounds like you have had it looked at and have had advice from an expert. If nothing can be seen or felt, and you have a plausible explanation from a bs, then try to put it out of your mind until you have your baby and can have an MRI. Of course if the dimpling changes, then go back to your dr.

I never had dimpling, so don't know too much about it.

If you aren't happy with your bs, you can always get a second or even third opinion.

I really hope you can get some peace of mind soon (((((hugs))))

    Trish

    xoxo
