Kazzie - I stll have all of downstairs to do - eek - not much point to do it until we clean up the yard mess from the storms. Steve has a habit of not wiping his feet.

yes Racy, they finally got her up, once they could get her feet in good position and tied a rope around and used the assistance of the tractor to pull her out of the drain. she is a big girl and is about 19 years old, loves apples and bread and has taken a liking to dog biscuits, but she gets some as a treat about once a week. she has alot of trouble with mud fever. we have  spray and have to cut around her feet reguarly,  its a sod to get rid of.  she looks huge against the minitures.  we have 6 of them and a donkey, called Chrissy,  , she was a wild donkey given to hamilton zoo and  one Christmas  and  they named her chrissy, .  But yes Racy, Shana is ok  and her coat is all ripped, she is hard on coats, but bil brought 3 from a farming sale  called feild days which they have in Hamilton, mystry creek, you may know of that. Thank you for concern.

I'm back on deck, and mouth is feeling so much better.  Had Thursday and Friday off - but back at work today.

Wow, the storms sounded wild up there - glad no-one was hurt and you are all ok.

Midnight, sorry to hear that Shana had problems, but glad she's ok now.  She's only fairly young at 19.  We've had 2 clydesdales, one called Aussie who was huge and could pull a plow.  Then we had Bonnie who was only 14 months old when we got her. She was humungous! And she's even bigger now.  Aussie lived to 38 years, which is pretty good for a big horse, he was lovely to ride too - very wide, but so solid.  Bonnie now lives about 10 minutes away from us, so we can still visit her.  We also had 2 donkeys - Cassie who was pregnant when we got her and she had Harry.  They also live about 10 minutes away from us.  Donkeys have a mind of their own.  The difference between horses and donkeys are like between dogs and cats.  Horses will do what you ask them to do (most of the time) like dogs, but donkeys - well they'll think about it first and if it's something they want to do they'll do it, otherwise you have no hope - like cats lol.

    18 more sleeps!! lol

Good morning, I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend.

It looks like you had dreadful weather up in Brissy yesterday. I hope no-one sprung any leaks and you are all ok.

We had a quiet and relaxing weekend. I have been trying to exercise and am enjoying exploring the National Park.

Trish. you got that right. Chrissy wont do what she dont want to do. has her own agenda. does not like dogs, she will tolerate ours, but gets up tight if other dogs around. she is a white greyish donkey and man if she decides to let rip honking and you standing beside her, gosh you just about wee your self. Hubby thinks that shana maybe abit  older than 19, like 22. he said, its hard to tell as she was owned by somebody b4 them. but between that of 19 and 22, he thinks.  very interested in hearing about yr clydesales and donkeys. my grandfather had one  on the farm years ago that used to pull the plow, its name was guts ache lol, i dont know why they called him that. but he was a real good work horse and loved it apparently. grandfather treated him like royalty i heard.

Racy, am not sure of the breed  of minitures, i think they could be mix breeds, most of them are caterory A's.  i think there is a B.  there is Danny, Buddy. leo. mickey and Darcy. Danny and leo are the only stallions. bella is the mare, we are hoping she will produce with danny, she is the B category. dark brown.  they lovely though, Leo is pretty small compared to the lot, would say he is a pure category A. Buddy and bella came from Christchurch fter the big earth quake. we got them shipped up here. they could not look after them anymore and the kids lost interest in them too. so  they came to us and Buddy is too fat, big gut, they are trying to trim him down b4 he goes down  and not get up. he is fixed that one. but he is lovely natured. stallions are bit gumpy at times. have a good day girls.

i rang up Doctor to see if the MRI results back yet, but no, she said they usually back within 3 to 4 days. so will just have to wait. i mentioned that they asked me about taking blood thinners at the completion of mri, but  DR nurse  could not really tell me why they would ask that, so will just have  2 wait til i know something to hear what happened about that question, i dont like this waiting period.just thought if it was routine question, it would be something asked b4 mri, not at the end.  i should of asked why they asked me at the time, but i get abit shy in asking things like that. would save all that energy wondering about it. its ben 5 days since i had it done, not counting the weekend.

Spent last night in Kiama with my cousin and her husband! I had today off work and made a last minute decision to drive down there yesterday afternoon.

My cousin and her husband have 3 kids about the same ages as ours. The older two kids are doing just great while their youngest (17yrs, "off the rails) and his girlfriend had a baby a few months ago. Well, they weren't looking after the baby properly and now my cousin and her husband have official custody of the baby since a week ago until at least Christmas. We all think it will be much longer than that though.

Imagine getting a 6month old at the age of 46yrs! She kept saying to me "I'm too old for this!", but of course they will look after the child...

Trish. Wedding is tentatively 20th April. I am refusing to get stressed over this, and it's a conscious battle not to, but I do believe the very stressful events of 2011 cumulated in my BC dx later that year, and I don't want to have history repeat itself so am just letting (or trying too) let it all wash over me. Apparently they are getting married on a farm down in Margaret River, his parent are in the throws of purchasing it, but heck I don't even think it's gone to the lawyers yet (all I can hear are alarm bells ringing).   OK enough already... sorry to vent.

I am not usually a worrier, but I am now so scared of getting unduly stressed. My left breast is of concern to me, it is tender all over and feels like it wants to explode, but I had my mammo and nothing on it. Is it from radiation? do all cancers show up on mammograms? I see my BS next Thursday for my 1st annual check up, so he'll probably be able to see if there is a problem.

It is so nice to be back on a real computer so that I can get a decent post in. My little i-pad thingo just isn't good for any sort of volume, but I've been reading your posts daily and keeping abreast (ha ha) of all your news, test results (good and not so good) and extreme weather events. Which reminds me, Paul has sent me pictures of the thermometer where he works. It got to 48.8 the other day, and it's only November! Thank goodness he is in airconditioning, and of course he now has undisputed bragging rights to complain when it's hot (something I am prone to do, but somehow now I don't think that will hold much water). Love to all xxxx

    Hi all

Kate, keep cool and try not to stress. Your DD has to sort it out. Do hope things are OK and you get reasurrance from your BS.

Jenn, have been to Kiama. Discover a few years ago DH has lots of relations in the Kiama and Wollongong areas, pretty little place.

Have had fun with some genealogy, having a huge break through today - so much fun.

Hope you have all had a good day.

Hi girls!!!! What a weekend!!! Can I say, I am poo poopy dood?......lol. My bed really looks good tonight!!

Between yesterday and today I have driven 800kms and can I say ........thank goodness in home!!

It was my SIL's sisters funeral this morning in Pt Pirie so while I was there I surprised my friend who was my bridesmaid with a visit. I haven't seen her for ages so it was really nice to spend the afternoon with her. Can I say we went shopping....(oh no!!! Not shopping?!)......and I have arrived home with three pairs of shoes!! Yup I said three......yes, I know, I do only have one pair if feet but I actually needed two pairs but the third was I must admit was an 'oh I must have them for that price!'.......lol and you all will get to see two of them in Brissy.

Midnight those horses sound fabulous!! I just love the sheer size and gentle nature of the Clydesdales.

Jenn it feels real good when we do things on the spur of the moment. At least that poor little baby will be loved and caredfo properly while it is under the care of your cousin but at 46 I don't envy her the broken sleep and constant close watch you need to do with a little one.

Trish so glad you are feeling better. There is nothing worse than a sore mouth.

Sue will I need to wear my sunnies inside to combat the shine on the floors?........lol........just kidding......I'm already thinking of what I need to pack and I'm presuming it will be pretty humid so pack lite....yes?

Kate take a deep breath and try to relax I'm sure your boobs are feeling like they do because of the rads. It is going to take sometime for that full, damaged tissue to heal ((((((hugs)))))). Oh and as far as the wedding is concerned, your DD obviously has decided to do it her way so let her do it her way and don't stress about it.

Aly I'm glad you had a good breakthrough with your geniology search........it can be so satisfying when that happens. Glad the charger arrived safely.

Karen hope you are happy with the new tats! Pic please!......lol......got to check out the new brows.

Hi to the new girls, sorry, if I go back to remember your names I will loose everything but hey! I'm sure you will be here for a while and I'll catch up next time........just wanted to say welcome!

    Love n hugs all!! Chrissy

Welcome back Chrissy.....wow, what a busy few days you 've had!

Oh, & a girl can never have too many shoes...LOL

So sorry to hear you had to go to a funeral.......never nice....but lovely you to got surprise your 'bridesmaid'!!

Yes, I'm happy with the brows....it'll make me feel so much better when mine do fall out - not being vain, just want to blend in with the rest of the world!!

It was a tad painful & I have to go back in 4 weeks when she goes over them again - as they fade - with natural looking strokes.....best to be pro active I think...:

Wish Thursday would hurry up & come, so I can see the onc & at least know what the treatment plan is & where I'm at....feeling a bit in limbo!

I think you might need your sunnies at Sue's house & you'll have to leave your new shoes at the door so you don't dirty the sparkling floors....LOL. Have fun :)

Karen would you say the pain of the tat eyebrows is more, the same or less than when you pluck one hair at a time?

We are never vain but it is nice to blend in and not feel like the beacon......lol. After your next visit do you have to keep going back or will they be permanent then?

Oh sorry for all the questions but I've never spoken to anyone with tat eyebrows before and of course me being me, my curiosity is running rampant!.......lol

    That's ok Chrissy.....I don't mind at all, I'm a curious person myself :)

A different pain to plucking & waxing & it really only hurt for 3 seconds on each one as she put an anesthetic on first, after that it was more just a vibration!

And no,I don't have to go back after the next one....they do fade but she reckons most people get 10 or 12 years out of them...

    So all good ;)

    Karen x

PS it cost $375 which includes both visits!

Sue I did warn everyone that I would probably not post for a few days as I was B U S Y!!!......lol. Between going over to Clare for my lymphodema treatment and getting an assessment from the physio so I can go to the gym and hopefully get a bit fitter and then having to pick my SIL from her home in Wallaroo and cooking and preparing nibbles for a quiz night that was held here to raise money for the restoration of the old railway station, having guests for dinner the same night so had to make sure that dinner was reasonable. I think that was all.........and that was just Friday!!!!.....lol. Saturday was not quite so busy but still people coming and going all day and then Sunday taking my SUL back home again before heading to Adelaide to spend the rest of the day and evening going out to dinner to celebrate two of my GS's birthdays and then driving home as I had my SIL's sisters funeral this morning in Port Pirie.........lol. Sorry you were worried but I knew someone would if I wasn't around for a few days.

    Anyway, I'm baaack!!!

    Stay well!!

    Hi all

You all have such exciting lives, I just go to work and then come home, I must say I don't really have the energy to do much else. I did have a big cleanup on the weekend, at least the house is nice and clean (for once). I have got an appointment with a physcologist in a couple of weeks to talk about my cancer, hopefully it might get me motivated to do something.

I'll have to start to get organised for Christmas soon, only 4 Weeks to go !!!

Hope you all have a great week

    Hello all

Chrissy - just reading what you've been doing over the past few days has made me tired lol.  You take care girl and rest up for a while.  You'll need your strength for Brisbane! :-)

Jenn - thanks for the update about Lolalee - so glad she's sounding good, please give her our love - I've been thinking of her.

Kate - don't stress - your DD is the bride, and the bride is the one who usually gets her own way.  There's nothing wrong with having a back up plan if things go wrong for her, but don't stress over it.  I'm free on the 20th!  Will talk to you about it soon, we actually have a wedding in April and I was worried it would be on the same weekend, but that one's the weekend before.

I can't offer advice on sore boobs after rads, but I'm sure your bs will be able to ease your mind.  It's horrible how we think every ache and pain is something more sinister.  We all do it, and I'm not sure it will ever really stop.  Sending you ((((hugs))))

Karen, when you can we'd love to see the new eyebrows.  I coped well with the loss of my hair, I didn't like it, but coped.  It was the loss of my eyebrows and eyelashes that got to me.  I could cover my head with a hat or wig, but it was so hard to hide the fact that I had no eyebrows or lashes.  I didn't really feel like a cancer patient until that happened.  (((hugs)))) to you too.

Midnight, hopefully you'll hear your results today - if they said 3-4 days and it's now been 5 I'd be ringing again to find out what's going on.

Aussie - thanks for reminding me about Christmas lol. I have DH birthday to get through first.  His birthday is on 30 November but we are having a family barbeque on 1 December to celebrate.  That was all decided yesterday, so now I have to make sure my house is clean and get the barbie working again lol.

Hope everyone has a great day.

    Trish
