Trish,  congrats on yr new job. sorry i did not see that b4. wow, i hope the good news keep coming and you too linda. i read and then i  miss some and then i look back, oh shoot, i never got to congratulate them on that or i miss supporting them with that. I like to try and support you all as you do to me, .  we have a cat that jumps on this key board of this thing, just as you are on to something important, Grrrrr and the whole lot goes awol.  We had a cat once, he is not with us, he was white persian and very deaf, MInty was his name, and one day we came inside from doing something outside and he was on the computer with his two front paws on key board and on the screen was the help and support centre and another time the  twe goats, Amy and lucy thought they would venture inside and they were in lounge, one on the couch and the other on floor, watching tv, we did not have camera handy or quick enough. it was so funny. Animals, i dont know, they make you laugh and cry. catch yas later.

OMG Kate!!! No date yet?! Keeping everything crossed that she finds a venue who won't charge an arm and a leg for late notice! You may even end up with a back yard wedding!

I wrote a long post earlier and it has vanished. It's a bit like me at present. So pleased about all the good results for people do hope they keep coming.

We are wedding planning here as well. Wish you were closer Trisha, there might have been a job for you here. DS and FDil have chosen venue. Have to have a Wednesday evening because everything booked up. So wedding on the 24th April. One problem is the venue is very small, 60 max which is going to cause real issues with DH's relations. They just expect invites to everything, this issecond cousins and all, and there are so many of them. It works out to be immediate family only and it doesn't take long to get to 25 each side plus bridal party.

Have had flare of RA again last week so was feeling miserable and came down with really bad migraine on Tuesday which still hasn't really cleared so I have been staying close to home. Do have to go out shortly - I do appraisals for church ministers ahd have to go and discuss results with someone so we are going to have coffee and a chat.

Hope you are all having a good day.

    Hello all

Thank you for the congrats, I am very excited about this job, and can't wait to start it.

Hello Thenewme, good to see you here and welcome to Oz! Where you in the States prior to coming here? That's a huge move for you. Pity you can't get to Brisbane, it would be nice to meet you.

I'm home today, and probably tomorrow too. Feeling a bit miserable. Had a huge abscess come up on a tooth. Got into the dentist this morning, so now have antibiotics and some heavy duty painkillers. When I had two out earlier in the year, we knew this tooth would play up next, I'd had a pretty bad mouth ulcer there during chemo that I couldn't seem to get rid of. So chemo is still getting at me grrrr...

    Trish

Oh, and Aly, I haven't been to NZ since our honeymoon which will be 20 years ago next year. Hmmm... maybe a short holiday in April would be nice lol

Mind you I'm high on painkillers at the moment, so anything is possible.

Better go lie down and have a nap I think :-)

Wow Trish, poor you. Chemo really knocked your teeth didn't it.  I hope it feels better soon.

Welcome thenewme. Million questions from us all. Melbourne is lovely I hope you have settled. Are you here permanently?

Has anyone heard from Lolalee, hopefully her op went ok.

Got a very unpleasant surprise yesterday. Looks like chemopause hasn't been  permanent. Off to docs next week and see about Lupron and ooph. Ooph might take a while as I'm public. Much preferred the hot flushes, night sweats etc to this again. Erkk.

Ooo Trish! Not nice!! From a person who suffers ulcers on a regular basis I really feel for you with the abscess!! Take care and rest........you do not want that poison circulating in your system.

Kylie don't you just hate that?! If I wasn't in already in menopause I think I'd go for the ooph rather than lupron.

Midnight chemopause is the cessation of your periods due to chemo.

Had a day of food prep today as tomorrow I am going to pick up my SIL from Wallaroo and then my ex SIL and her boyfriend are coming to tea before we all head off to a fund raiser quiz night to raise money for the restoration of the old railway station. I did a corn relish dip, a smoked salmon and dill dip to take with us to the quiz night, spaghetti sauce for the mains for tea so when I get back from picking Lynn up I only have to cook the pasta and garlic bread, toss a green salad and make the pastry for the wild peach pie for desert. I think I'm organized .......lol...... And that is just the beginning of the week for me. I take Lynn home again on Sunday morning and then head straight down to the city to celebrate my two GS's birthdays then drive home again. I think all up I will travel about 500 kms and then on Monday I've got to drive another 350kms round trip to go to Lynn's sisters funeral. I think I will certainly need some good early nights to get over all of that driving. I must remember to wear my lymphodema sleeve so I don't get a whole heap of swelling.

If I don't get a chance to get back here before Monday, please have a good and safe weekend.

    Love n hugs. Chrissy

Ladies there is a young Australian woman just diagnosed with inflammatory bc that has put up a "cry for help" on the BCNA boards. They are not very busy so thought I'd give you a heads up in case you pop over there sometimes and want to put up a message...

Wow Chrissy....what a busy time ahead you have :) have a great time....you can sleep later :)

Trisha......sorry to hear you're feeling poorly, hope you feel better soon....(((hugs)))

Well, got the call this morning & the mets have spread!! More spots on my spine & ribs & now also my pelvis....:(

So chemo it is......see the onc next Thursday & will prob start the following Thursday.

Trying to take some positive from all this negative.......at least it's not yet in my organs!!

Also, being triple negative, the only treatment is chemo so hopefully we can stop the spread for awhile....:) Can't help being scared though & thinking it's gonna get me quick!! All normal feelings I'm sure...

And it is SO hard telling your loved ones......

Anyway, will soldier on & do whatever I have to do to stay here for as long as possible.

    Hugs to all (((xxx)))
