Well I'm finally packed and have most of the portrait shoots that I've done this week processed, just couldn't do the last one, too tired, and want to get some sleep before tomorrow lol
I'm so excited!! Hopefully I can sleep tonight. Just can't wait to meet you all.
Bring on tomorrow lol

I hope I can stay in an AI indefinitely; the longer the better. My only side effect is hot flushes and I take Effexor to manage those.
We hear so often about late recurrences after completing hormone therapy. It seems to make sense to extend it.
Jenn and Kylie, maybe talk to your oncs about an AI if you are post menopause.0 -
Raining again but nothing like this afternoon when the tornado hit West Aukland. About 7 o'clock the sun was out and it was hard to believe there had been such a terrible strom that cost lives and caused injuries.
Hope you all have a wonderful time in Brisbane.

I'm here!!!! Can't wait till tomorrow to meet everyone!! Woohoo!!!!

Hi girls.....just a brief update, feeling quite tired..
I'm feeling pretty good, had 6 hours in the chemo chair!
I thought I was having Gemcitabine & Abraxane coz someone told me that Paclitaxel is Abraxene but apparently it's not...... So I've been googling side effects for the wrong drug?!
Paclitaxel is much stronger than Abraxane, so therefore had to be infused very slow..hence the 6 hours. They also infused me with phenergan as an anti nausea ( which I always thought was an anti histamine) but it made me very tired so I dozed for the last 2 hours
Anyway, hoping for a good night sleep ( will take a couple of sleepers again) before the crash!
Thanks for all your sport lovely ladies & sweet dreams tonight before the big weekend together...:)
Karen x
PS.....Jenn, I hope the sleeper works for you......:)0 -
Hi all
Jenn I'm on Tamoxifen, just filled my next script today as I only have 1 tablet left. My SE's are mainly really sore joints but that's if I sit down or stand in the one position for long periods. I think I'm the only one who has better sleep since being on Tamoxifen? Never slept better in my life. Every now and again I get hot flushes but there not a problem. I've been taking them for 6 months so I"ll have to see what the Doctors recommend when my 5 years is up.
To all those in Brisbane hope you all have a great time, I've been to Brisbane and loved it.

Have a fantastic catch up ladies.
I am actually flying up to the Gold Coast on Monday for a week with my husband, 17 year old daughter and her boyfriend. Hubby offered to send me up early so I could meet some of you, but I just have a few too many commitments this weekend.
Nearly!
Next time0 -
4am and have been awake an hour... Guess this drug is not very effective for me... :-(
Jenn0 -
Oh Jenn I sure hope you get a med that does good thing for your sleep pattern soon. ((((((((Hugs))))))))

Jenn....I've been on sleepers for awhile...
I'm not sure of the similarity of what you take to mine (I use Tamazzapam) & each pill gives you 4 to 5 hours sleep!! If I want a really good sleep I take 2 or if I know I'm gonna fall asleep at bedtime, I don't take any & then take one when I wake at 1 or 2 in the morning...
Don't know if this helps but just my experience......I took 2 last night @ 9,30 after my marathon day in the chemo chair & woke @ 7.15
Good luck

To all the girls in Brissy.....have a fab time & don't forget the pics
I'm sure you'll have a blast...

PS.....Chrissy, enjoy Sue's spotlessly clean house! x0 -
OK - so I have never had a problem actually falling asleep to start with. Last night I took this tamazapan (Normison, 10mg) at 9.30pm. Probably was asleep just after 10pm and then was wide awake as per usual at 3AM for 2 hours :-/
This certainly did not solve my problem...
Karen, did your dr advise taking two? Does two really extend your sleep?

So far, we've had a lovely day (if you can count grocery shopping fun). I took Chrissy to my favourite restaurant for lunch - she loved it!!!

Special time. I have met up with online pals many times over the years and I am always amazed. People are always exactly as I thought they would be personality wise...and it makes future online chats much more meaningful.
Drinks and balmy weather as well?? Its gonna be a GREAT night!!
Might have to join your FB page to see the pics.

Jenn....yes, definitely get longer from 2 pills & yes, my doc knows & she has no problem with it.....not sure if my being terminal makes a difference to her attitude towards it! She has said if I get addicted to sleepers or Valium & they cure me we'll worry about it then.....
I do, like you, fall asleep quite easily some nights & wake in the early hours of the morning & that's when I'll take a pill.....I don't work though so don't need to worry if I sleep a bit late. I only take the 2 before bed when i've had a particularly bad day.....Have a few 'practice runs ' on the weekend.....good luck:)
Brizzy sounds wonderful, balmy weather, balcony & wine & best of all, great company..
Have fun girls & have a lovely dinner (I'm 3 hours behind so you're probably all ready for bed now...LOL)
Be good but not too good!
