I already saw her midnight and had put up a hug...

Well, we were out for dinner last night and after having a few champagne's I took one of the non-antidepressent sleeping tablets when I got home and went straight off to sleep at about 11pm. Woke at 3am (of course) and this time just rolled over and took the 2nd tablet I had waiting on my bedside table and went straight back off to sleep again. Woke at 5.45am ready for the alarm at 6am.

Feeling a bit crap today though. Got a headache - but I think I might be able to blame it on the sparkling wine volume...

Will see if sticking with the sleeping tablets does it for me until I get to the psychiatrist next week. I really do feel like I just need to have some counselling sessions where I can just sit and cry for an hour and get it out. I can't do this with anyone at home. If I do that with hubby he gets depressed himself - I've always been the one that kept his mood "up"... And, I certainly can't do it with the kids because I could wreak their psyche...

    regards Jenn (lunch-time at work)

Was hoping you'd get a good sleep last night Jenn!

I do so understand your wanting to unload on a psych. I felt the same when my Mum was diagnosed with BC. My Dad had just passed and I was so scared of losing her too. I couldn't unload at home, I was caring for Mum and had one Daughter at home who had just started University. Although friends were good they didn't understand the place I was in. A professional is a great sounding board.

Just had to tell you, I went to my first "Pink Ladies" meeting in our town last week. I was encouraged to go because my Breast Nurse wanted me to meet women in my area. I only moved here at the end of June,so don't know many people yet.

I didn't want to go because I haven't had my surgery yet, but I didn't want them to think I was a snob, so I went along. They were very welcoming, and today I got a call to say I had won the raffle on the day. I won a pamper session from my new hairdresser!

Yay Ariom!! Just goes to show you never know what you will find when you go somewhere new. So glad you felt welcomed!

Well that lump under my arm is about to be biopsies but my doc is optimistic about it being a cebatious cyst rather than the nasty so I'm sticking with his thought until told otherwise.

    Have a good day all!!

Trish - hope everything went well. Sorry for not posting before but work has been hectic!!

Chrissy - have they done an ultrasound on the lump? I remember the bs sent for an extra one when she thought I had an enlarged node.

Chrissy, sorry, i do hope everything is ok with you. hope it is clear and nothing sinister. will be praying for a good outcome. i missed that  post and just read it from suzies post asking you about it.

Trish, hope you ok,  hope you enjoy something to eat very soon, sometimes thinking about the food isd better than eating after you have been under  a procedure and put out to it and when u go to eat, you dont feel  like it. i did that dreampt about the meal i was going to  have, and when time came to eat, i couldnt, so hope u ok  and can eat something nice.

all you girls, take care, you are all special.

Well girls I'm finally home!!! I'm exhausted!!!! Certainly not a good day to have to drive to the city.......all I can say is thank G.. For Airconditioning!!!

The lump is a benign Lipoma......not dangerous just annoying. Yay!!!! I will be talking to my BS when I see him in January and discuss having it removed as it is right where my bra sits and so it gets quite painful. DEXA was okay, hip, femur and forearm are all still in the teenage range but my spine is another matter 😒. It is osteopenia with the L4 vertebrae totally osteoporotic. Mmmm now that's going to take some discussion. Mamo is all clear......so......even though I don't see the big guy until Jan 7 I'd say I'm doing pretty good!

Trish hope everything went okay and you're just recovering.

    Love n hugs all!! Chrissy

Huge relief!  Great news!  So happy for you Chrissy you will be able to relax now and enjoy the festive season albeit probably a hot one but with a/c it will be a breeze.  Your family must be extremely happy with the outcome.  Now we just need to hear from Trish.

Yay for good news Chrissy :-)

Hoping we hear from Trish soon and all is good.

If I haven't already said "welcome" to you, please take a warm squishy welcome hug from me :-)

I had the mother of all headaches today... I left work early and the headache has really only cleared in the past hour. No idea if it was the champagne last night or all those sleeping drugs I've been trying!

Excellent news Trish!  5 polyps -  that is a lot!  Good that they are all out and you do not have to think about that procedure for another 5 years.  You will now be able to enjoy Xmas having crossed that hurdle, not to mention a nice meal to look forward to tonight.  Good news all round today, need more of that!

Glad your headache has eased Jenn.  Hope you have a great evening.

Couldn't have wished for better news for you Trish and Chrissy, that must be a load off for you both.

Glad that headache has cleared for you too Jenn, and hope you have a good uninterrupted sleep tonight.

I would appreciate any tips on what to pack for the Hospital. I have bought the short sleeve button front pj's that someone suggested, but haven't a clue of what else I might need. Just how restricted are you after the op?

You just need all the normal stuff really, but maybe a small, soft, flattish cushion to be in the car when you come home. It can go between you and the seatbelt to make the trip a bit more comfy...
