Yay Aussie!  Great news on your mammo!!  Oh I can imagine the hullabaloo going on over there at the moment.  I guess it will feel very quiet once the Stones leave and the search is done.

Good news for you as well Trish...yay!!!  Hope your visit with your onc goes well!

Had my appointment with the audiology clinic today and the audiologist agrees with the ENT, I have definitely lost hearing so she took a mold of my ear and my hearing aide should be ready for fitting in about two weeks.......yay!   It will be so nice to be able to hear better.......lol.

Hope all you girls are doing okay!

    Love n hugs.     Chrissy

Hi Girls, hope everybody ok. I have been busy doing stuff, am going to be doing my laundry soon. We went to a small holdersfarming sale yesterday over in Hawkesbay, well, Dannevirke. lol we brought a few things, i went into the poultry section, they wanted some more hens, ie hubby and BIl, actually he was quite reasonabale there and nice, when we got home and started moaning as the pigs were out in the paddock. and that led to more moaning which ended up in an argurment between both of them, he waited til i was out of it and then went for the kill with hubby but he was told for a change to get??? from hubby, he wont do it when i am there as i tell him where to go. I could hear him muttering under his breath too. i just ignored it and walked away as i was starting to get really angry and then i would of exploded.   apparently  this argument had  gone to pass between them before, so  he was still in a bad mood and he hands me these bantam eggs , five of them, and one fell through my fingers and broke and he called me a stupid B----H and  i got another egg and threw it at him and got himin the ear, hubby was nearly splitting him self in half laughing and Bil,said  what the H did you do that for? i said  you call me names like that, you lucky it wasnt rotten, lol don't think that helped the mood too much. he went from this very nice person to this person that was nasty soon as we hit home soil.,  i really enjoyed the day out and then  he just changed, i can't make him out. strange person.

lol i went and bidded on these two bantam hens at the sale, they both  said, no roosters, lol i mis heard  the bidding as there was so much noise with people laughing and talking and i was not to go over ten bucks.
well i thought the auctioneer, said 7 bucks, and put my hand up and won them and they were 27 bucks, whoops, i got out of there quick and made an admission of my stuff up to hubby and he laughed and said he will tell the bro later when its going home time lol. so 13.50 for each, oh well, maybe they will lay golden eggs. Hubby brought a miniture mare horse, 8 months which we need for breeding as we have all stallions and whethers and one mare, she was 130 bucks and three goats. one kid and two milkers. i did not feel too bad after  winning  my 27 dollar batams hens and anyway really it was the roosters that were  going for less than ten, i just thought i was on 2  a good thing. too late to reverse it once it had gone thru.  Anyway guess i should go and  do something, hope you all ok.

Just signed in again and wondering what happened to Annette's post too...

Chrissy my neck and shoulder pain is much improved. My acupuncturist signed me off yesterday - wrote me a cute note telling me that I am improved (she doesn't speak much English so we had used a lot of hand signs each week).

My flu is pretty much gone too thank goodness.

Quiet around here... Sorry to see that Karen has been in hospital this last week :-/

    hi ladies

hope everyone is doing well. Im going to see my surgeon this coming thursday. He wants to check everything is ok and talk more about reconstruction as ive been on the waiting list for six months. Hoping he will give me a shorter time frame then between now and october of this year. All depends on how many urgent patients are infront of me because he works at more than one hospital.

    Hello Girls

Had my onc appointment on Friday and all went well.  He's very happy with me and I don't have to go back for 12 months yay!

Have now started on the low FODMAP diet, and hopefully will have more energy now, especially as I'm cutting the gluten out. Still no pain, so I'm feeling more optimistic that the lactose was the cause.  All those tests and money to find out I'm also lactose intolerant! But it's good to have a reason Smile

Chrissy - I think DH will have to go in to have his hearing seen to soon, he's getting worse with his hearing, mind you I'm not too good sometimes either. It's quite funny when we are both sitting watching tv - we are always asking each other "what did he/she say?" I need to get my ears cleaned out properly I have a terrible build up of wax!

I'm wondering why Annette deleted her post too!

Jenn - good news about your neck pain, glad you are getting over the flu too.

Not good news about Karen though, if you are reading here at all, we are all thinking of you.

I've also been trying to get in contact with Kate, but she's incommunicado again, I hope she's doing ok - anyone else heard from her?
    Trish

Jenn, thanks for the update on Karen.

    Karen, thinking of you....

Melp, fingers crossed for good news on Thursday!

Trish & Jenn, glad to read you're both feeling better.

My training for the Mother's Day run is going well....I hope to do us proud!

I am sorry about karen, what has happened. she been in Hospital etc, i think about her  heaps.

Well after reading Annette's pm, I'm sad that someone (not an Aussie girl) has decided to take her to task about her posts. This is a forum where we all support each other and I cannot for the life of me understand why some women decide that their opinion and beliefs are the only ones in the world that are right and that everyone else is wrong (or worse - wicked).
Annette - you just keep on posting on here and ignore that person completely. You can actually set something in your settings, I think, to ignore certain people.

Hi all!  I just finished my first appointment with the accupressurist!  Wow!  I will admit I am a bit sore right now but I was warned this might happen.  Totally different experience than I expected........although I don't really know what I was expecting........lol........he did say that he felt like he was trying to work on a concrete statue that's how hard and immovable my muscles are! but he assures me that he will be able to get them back to what they should be and pretty well pain free in my neck, shoulders and back and as a result of that, my complete body.    Now that will be nice!!!!  The only problem is I am going to have to drive down to the city at least once a fortnight for the next few months in order to get me there........oh well, nothing ventured, nothing gained and the travelling is just part of it.

Yay Trish!!!  12 monthly visits are a thing to cherish!!  Great when you get the alls good to go message.  Hope you get some oomph back soon.......lol.......and yeah, unfortunately it sometimes takes a whole lot of testing to find something small and simple.

Annette, I think that person was going through some stuff and unfortunately picked you to vent.......don't give her another thought and post away as you feel.......we all love you and look forward to your posts......they always make me smile.

Karen if you are reading (((((((hugs))))))))). Hang in there girl we are with you in spirit.

Katie girl?  Are you reading?  Love you too and hope you are getting through all the crap that stage IV brings with it.

Tammy, you little athletic wonder you!  I'll sit on the side lines and cheer you on as I wouldn't be even able to run ten metres let alone a run!........lol.......keep up the good work, we are all supporting you!

Melp good luck with your PS visit and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that you can get into surgery earlier than planned.

Hi to everyone else, it's time to head home as I've had my coffee and banana bread at McDonals so I'm good to go!

    Love n hugs all!     Chrissy

    Hi all

Just to say that I chatted to Annette earlier and said much the same as Chrissy but can say she is worried about comments made to her. I told her she should rewrite the post she deleted because we love her stories.

Have been out to lunch with a friend and must head home before the traffic gets bad.

Think I have had a virus which as well as making me feel off caused tinitus and really blocked feeling in my ear. Thought I had a cricket in it.

Hope you are all having a great day.

Jude - that's great news! It must feel a bit scary though, to be set loose on your own. Nerdy

Kylie - did you have your mammo and it was all clear?

Everything going well here, except that I'm having terrible problems sleeping. I go to bed and fall asleep almost straight away. Then an hour later I'm wide awake and can't lie still in bed. So have to get up have a cuppa, read for a while and go back to bed. So lots of interrupted sleep, and after last night feeling like crap today. Melatonin, stillnox - nothing seems to be helping.

Trish, i do that heaps, drop off to sleep and then wake and you  would think i'd  have ants in my pants. its annoying, i go and have a drink and then pea the rest of it. and then want to sleep all morning. my sleeping habits are really up the creek at moment, very irregular. Hubby is a real wiggle worm and sometimes will wake me, un wittenly and its broken sleep every night. i do not know why i  have gone  like that. you too,  thats  not good either. anyway Gym today again. so will  be gone today all afternoon.  Hugs and love to Karen and everyone. xxx

    Hi all

I went to my Doctor's appointment yesterday and got the all clear. I don't need to go back for another year.

Since I started taking Tamoxifen I've had the best sleeps ever, starting work this week at 6am and 5am makes me sleepy as well !!!

Jude enjoy your trip!!!!   You sound sooo excited and I can't say I blame you.

Sleeping pattern? What sleeping pattern?  Someone has one of those?  Can I borrow it, mine went out the window pretty much from the time I was dx in 2003........been looking for it every since!  No luck i finding it by the way I just take what ever comes and believe me, some nights it's nil.  I take Melatonin or sleeping tabs depending what I'm doing the next day and that is the only way I get reasonable rest.

    Enjoy your night all!

    Love n hugs.   Chrissy

    Jude - enjoy your trip!

Aussie - another one not having to go back for a year! Yay!

Chrissy - I know you have a terrible time with sleeping - I did for a while while I was on Arimidex, but Aromasin didn't seem to have that effect on me.  It's only in the past month or so this new sleeping pattern has emerged. It's driving me nuts. I normally get up at 5.30am to be at work at 7.00am and the lack of quality sleep is starting to get to me. I suppose the Aromasin could be starting to do that to me, but I would have thought that being on it for almost two years now I'd have been safe. When I first started taking it, it was making me tired and sleeping wasn't an issue, I had to take it at night, otherwise I couldn't get through the day.

Trish it is possible that all the hoohah that's been going on looking for the source of your pain and the fact that it had been going on for so long, has begun to affect your sleep.  I really don't worry about mine any more as I don't have to go to work but you do.  Maybe, and I know you don't want to see another doc, but a sleep specialist might be of some use to you.  I do hope you can get a handle on it before it becomes chronic.

Have you see the thread Racy started about Auckland?

    Love n hugs.  Chrissy

Yes, it could be all that I guess, and you're right, I don't want to see another dr!! lol.

My pain is still staying mostly away, just getting a couple of niggles every now and then, and that's usually when I've had a cuppa made by DH who "forgets" to put lactose free milk in my tea.

I just looked at the Aukland thread, now added to my favs so won't miss any updates.

Delvsey, take a look at Magnesium for your jumpy legs. It works a treat! Enjoy your cruise!

    Congrats Aussie!

Hello everyone, Trish, I am sorry to hear of your pain, but so pleased to hear that you are finding improvement after the diet changes. I used to get terrible migraine and a strange sensation like I was falling backwards. I went to an allergist and long story short, I gave up all dairy and that was the end, of all that. I can tolerate dairy cooked into foods now, but never cheese, milk in a glass or cream etc.

Hi Midnight! enjoying your posts as always!

Alyson, I hope you've gotten rid of the cricket in your ear. I have one chirping outside my window right now and can't imagine what it must be like in your ear.

Hi Crissy, I hope your accupressure treatment is working for you!

Racy, I would love to join everyone in NZ, but not sure about carers for Colin that far in advance, will keep up with what's going on , on your thread. Kyliet, Her2, Jenn, Karen, thinking of you! I know I have missed some, not intentional. Take care everyone!

hi seems my operation wont be until spring time august onwards. The hospital will have a lot of patients during cold and flu season so they usually do reconstructions after winter season.  So I still have more time to wait...

Oh Melp dang!!  Never mind, August will be here before you know...........I know waiting is a real pain when all you want is for it all to be done with.  In the end I'm sure you will think it well worth the wait.
