hello everyone and thanks for making me feel so welcomed.
I am so glad I joined and wished that I had found put about this blog when I was first diagnosed I would have got so much advice and support and can actually talk to people with same issues and concerns

Welcome Emma. I am one of the Kiwis that pop over here cause we feel at home and our issues are similar.

Emma, welcome to our family i am a kiwi like alyson, and i cross over here as well and visit these fantastic ladies. hugs
Oh Kylie. That's terrible, very sorry, we will keep our fingers crossed that everything will turn out ok for him, keeping you all in our thoughts. he is too young, don't you have a nephew with that also. how is he doing? the one at the baby's birthday? BIG HUGS XXX
Chrissy, have a good week and enjoy your time away and your time with Trish. and drive safely.
I got a letter from the gyney saying i have B9 fybroids and polyps. but also pre- cancerous tissue results from the op i had, if they know what i have, why do i need a scan, also the blood tests show i am in pre-menopause and now i am off the tamoxifen, there is no pill that is suitable as the one she wanted to put me on is for post menopause, i have a review in three months, so in the meanwhile i have no protection from anything to stop recurring breast cancer, just have to cross my fingers and pray i dont get it back or go for chopping it out, the whole lot, radical hysterectomy. i will discuss it next week with the endocrine doc. he is the hormone doc. they said the tamoxifen is causing these abnormalities.. i am melting, this heat is over the top. have a good night.

hi Racy. I'm in in south west. Started tamoxifen three nights ago. Feeling okay so far. How is everyone coping with this heat!!!!!

Oh Kylie, keeping my fingers crossed that all will be well with your DS........((((((((hugs)))))))
It's been nice and cool here since that down pour last week Friday and I'm loving it! Yup, picked up SIL from Wallaroo this arvo and just need to pack my bag and I'm done! Yippeeeee!! The plan is to head out about 7.30 - 8.00 am in the morning.......can't believe the time has come already.......lol.
Annette, when you see the doc ask about Lupron.......it's an injection given to shut down the ovaries and put you into menopause so you can take one of the AIs. A three month break shouldn't be a problem so don't worry too much about that. Yup, had fibroids etc and had them for quite awhile before they caused me any problems. Finally had a D&C and had the darn things out a couple of years ago. Good luck with your scan!
Gotta go pack my bag and get some sleep! It's midnight!
Love n hugs all! Chrissy

Mum is doing OK right now. Well supported and taking her medication and she seems almost like her old self :-) We are going to Auckland at the end of March for a long weekend and will see her then.
Bit of an emotional weekend for me... Am finally getting myself back on an even keel this evening. You may have seen all the news here about a female celebrity that committed suicide this weekend? Well, she and i went to the same school and for 6months in my last year at school she bullied me to the point I was terrified walking out of the school grounds because she and her friends had threatened to beat me up. She would walk past me in school corridors and whisper terrible derogatory names at me. She and her friends would bark if we passed each other. It was horrible and caused because she had broken a silly school rule and since i was a prefect and a teacher was watching I had to give her a detention.
It was bad enough for me that she popped up in the media while alive, but the media coverage of her death and the saintification of her persona this weekend has been emotionally challenging for me - and that was all 30yrs ago! My best friend who i've known all these years texted me "cosmic karma is a bitch" when she saw the news. But I'm torn between that and feeling sorry for someone who felt they had so little that there was nothing left to live for.
Well, at least it took my mind off breastcancer crap and my sore neck and made me appreciate my family, friends and community including all of you!

Awe Jenn, I'm so sorry that those bad memories have been dredged up...........the media, no matter how good their journalist is, can get it wrong and this celebrity obviously had things on her mind that she could not deal with and maybe regret was part of it.
Thankful that you are feeling better.
Love n hugs. Chrissy

Hi Girls
Annette the photoshoot went well - it was one for work, the Canberra Show was on this weekend and I had to take photos of our booth in the Agricultural Hall.
Chrissy - welcome to Canberra! Can't wait to see you Friday.
Jenn - that celebrity certainly did get a lot of publicity, I saw it on the news a lot last week. It must be hard to see all that, knowing what you know. Time to move on though - you are alive and she had problems she couldn't overcome. It would have been conflicting for you though.
Hope everyone has a good day
Trish

Sending big hugs Jenn. Lots of coverage here but think it has been reasonably frank and truthful because she has been very critical of NZ and things said about her here. I am sorry anyone get to the point of takings ones own life but we must be very carful not to make heroes of them.
Hope you are being good Chrissy?
Hugs to all

Went to the physio that specialises in necks and backs at my new cancer centre today, and after all these weeks of everyone telling me what is not wrong with me, she is the first one to be able to tell me what is wrong.
She was shocked at how screwed up the muscles are on my right side and was not surprised that the pain has been affecting me so much. Says it will take some significant work to fix but it is fixable. She gave me some exercises and then did some deep muscle release work on my neck, shoulder and back. Felt so much better after that but it's already sore again which she said will happen until we can retrain the muscles.
Had to even turn my favourite radio station off on the way to work this morning because there was only one subject it seemed. And now even talk of an anti-bullying law named after my tormentor from all those years ago. My lovely daughter's comment summed it up... "ironic isn't it Mum!"
Glad to hear there's some reality over the ditch Alyson - much saintification here...

Morning all
Had my u/s yesterday (normally gets done with the mammo, but for some reason they had to split it up this time) and all clear! Yay! While I didn't get at all anxious about the mammo, I did get a bit jittery yesterday - since they put me in the exact same room that I was dx in originally, had core biopsies done and with the same dr
You know that horrible feeling of deja vous? At least this time it was a good result
Chrissy and I are catching up on Friday - can't wait to see her again

i had my scan today and had a full bladder as i was ment to and was ok, they did trans vaginal, but thereferal for this morning was sent last october and we all thought it was a follow up after op, they had a good check anyway, and yesterday Hubby went for what we thought was a follow up and it was about getting him an appointment for his op that he had in Jan, they dont communicate that lot. he therewas alot of this happening and hubby said, it sounds like the truck depo where we did our trucks and still have one going, nobody communicates with each other. no info getting passed on to other docs. if i had thought i would of asked them when the referal came thru and being october, well this is all sorted, i had a hystoscopy in jan and have results but i did not think it was an old one. Any way another check did not hurt. now i am wanting to wee all day, i had five glasses ofhot water, well drinkable hot water and when she was pushing the thing on my tummy, it was getting abit full and uncomfortable, took some spare nickers incase, but iut was after i had finished it was a big pain, going every ten mins.
Trish, very happy for your clear results. well done, enjoy chrissy.
everyone else have a good day, i am tired now. may have a nap.

Trisha-Anne. God bless you. That is fantastic news about your results!!!!

Well i am happy, my mum and sister had a falling out 3 years ago, and i told them when i was at mums 80th, that i wish you two would make up because none of us knows when our time is up, mum is 80, sister is going to have an op, she has a big lump in tummy, that has to be taken away, i am on the blink alot of time with my health and i would hate to see one of us check out with the un- rest. when ur time is up, you want to be peaceful. and it was alot of silly nonsense, a little help from the grandson making mischeif. little lies being told backwards and forwards and we found he is a little actor, but we wont go there. Today i rang up mum about scan and sis and brother in law were there, he had an apointment at the hospital, he has osteoparosis very bad, infact they say, if he breaks a hip, he will end up permantly in a wheel chair. he has handed his lawn mowing bussiness over to his son and does little bits. but they were all having lunch together mum, sis and bro inlaw and then sis and mum going shopping and Bil having a rest, just like old times, been 3 years since that has happenend, so the bridges are getting rebuilt. makes me happy, as they were close before that happened. also mum had bloods done and they found out she has low sodium in her blood and this could help being the contributer to her falls. she is also signed up to st Johns as well, if she falls she gets automatic reponse with the ambulance. and also a secuity one, if she has any more break in's she pushes the button and it goes to police, she went the whole hog, thats with a secuity firm., chubb they call themselves, they come to.

Jenn, sounds like you are in good hands and will finally get some relief...
Trish, great news...yay!
Annette, so pleased to see you start your post with "Well I am happy...." ...I hope it continues

Thankyou Tammy, i am happy to see my family get back to how they used to be, no sqaubling and nastiness as it was three years ago, it started in 2011, around the time of my BC dx and has got pretty heated at times, name calling etc, no communication between them and the older sister to. i was having to watch what i said, as i got alot of Did mum sa yanything about me or did your sister say anything about me, it was terrible for awhile, but now they seem to be building good bridges. going shopping together a big plus. , her husband went to doc and has three crushed verterbrae and mulitple fractures in his back, through little accidents while he doing his ride on lawn mowing, i know the machine roled one day and he had a sore back, but the osteoparosis is making it worse, he is now not allowed to do anything and going on new stronger pain meds which will not allow him to operate machinery. so poor Gary.
I have a head ache, no sleep at all hardly, blinken neighbours, they decided to walk up and down the foot path which is outside our bedroom window, like they were shifting things, as we heard, oh s--t this is heavy, that was three oclock. they ere laughing and giggling at the back door, having a fag i think as i could smell it. i would shut window, but its too hot. they kepy making the dog bark as she is very on to strange happenings and they tease her abit and she gets chessed off. anyway hubby and i both got an ounce of sleep and he gets up at four sometimes as he helps his brother when alot of freight that day and then he came home at 7and came back to bed til 8 and had a nap and felt worse he said, should of kept going instead of going back to bed. we should sleep,ok tonight i hope.
Well i have just got up, late yes as its 11.30. going to have brunch. lol have a good day girls.

Have been to the gynie today. He was by far the loveliest dr I've been to for a while
My reports are all in from the gastroenterologist now, and they show that I have mild diverticulosis as well as Celiac disease (my aren't I lucky!?), given that I'm seeing the gastro guy next week, we are going to wait and see what he is going to have me do next. The gynie can find no reason why I'm having pain (at least not that in his field of medicine). He thinks the diverticulosis and the Celiac disease may very well be my problem, and he doesn't want me to undergo more surgery if it's not needed.
So - after I have a plan with the gastro guy, if I'm still having pain in three months time, he'll do a laparoscopy even though nothing is showing up on the CT or u/s. He even said that he'd have a general surgeon take my appendix out at the same time just to be sure! Wow! A dr that believes there is such a thing as a "grumbling" appendix lol. So I'm happy with this plan.
I just hope this is what's causing the pain, and we can work out an eating plan that will keep everything settled, which may be interesting as diverticulosis requires high fibre, and that's most easily gotten through whole grains, which you can't have lol. I'm sure the gastro guy will have a solution.

Trish, yay for answers!!!! My younger sister has Coeliacs and manages her diet very well and there are now so many things that are gluten free that organising a diet to suit is not that hard..........I talk to you some more about it tomorrow if you like. I'm so pleased that the Gyny was good and I do like his plan as well........he is definitely covering all bases but I hope once you get your diet sorted things will really settle down.
See you tomorrow! Can't wait!!!!!
Love n hugs. Chrissy

Jenn, the things you don't know about people! How many people have been her victims, one wonders.
All the best to you.
Great news Trish. I dread my upcoming review as I have to go to the same place where it all began...
Have a great day everyone...

Hi all
I came home from work early today as I have had a very upset stomach and was sick as well. Hopefully just a 24 hour virus as I feel better but still not 100%. Lucky it wasn't last Thursday as my brother was staying with me and I don't think he would have liked me being on the toilet all day LOL.
